It's finally here of course because I need to still finish Sunny's part I thought
"hey let them what you have so far"
for the future I'll post Sunny's part and afterward there will be a Finale part so yes like a Yakuza game it all comes together in the end
Once again we start on July 20th only this time the gang has decided to take their party to the park where they have a picnic for old times sake the birthday man himself is sitting in the center along with Kel, yeah not Aubrey since well today is also the last day they can see Kel freely. The tournament is about to start and the Forward Frontiers are going to need one of their star players but thankfully he had one more day to be with everyone which just so happened to be Sunny's birthday, after the party everyone tries not to cry when Kel is about to leave though Kim forgoes a tearful goodbye to instead give a French kiss Kel to let everyone know he's her man to which Kel leaves with a goofy grin and everyone moves on.
From here on the story is separated by Kel's story which is a sports anime and Sunny's story which starts out as slice of life until things escalate to the point where both stories start to intersect in varied ways no one expected save me since I'm writing this. Since this story is supposed to be bigger and even more action packed than the last one this ironically needed to be shortened for my own sake since these are supposed to be ideas for a story, but don't fret I will still give most of what I feel should happen in this story and some little nuisances here and there
just understand that doing 2 stories with many moving parts is a bit much right now. Now let's start with the first good boi...
KEL
Starting right after the introduction above Kel on the bus is being pestered by his team because of his girlfriend, said team are generally very good to one another acting more like a family (said team can of course have some standout members but please give me a break) that is save a member named Atlas, yes like the titan that holds the ROUND world. Atlas here is basically that guy who's in it for fame and (mainly) fortune which by itself is not bad heck even good boi Kel wants some nice deals after this but he's a worlds ton humbler and more approachable than Atlas who as you can guess likes to stroke his ego.
The Compass tournament that's it's official name since it involves teams from all over the world with the best teams being the Cardinal four which are: Northern (K)Nights, Eastern Echos, Southern Serpents, and Western Wilds there are other teams but these will be the main ones the Forward Frontiers will be facing save the NK unless they make it to the finale (which they will because story) which is one of many reasons why the FF are the underdogs of underdogs going up against such teams.
Of course, as teased before there is a lot more to this tournament than meets the eye and unfortunately those eyes have their sights set on the FF mainly Kel especially after a certain someone made a name for himself even though he was in disguise however since he's a wild card they let him do whatever only taking action if Kel proves useful by winning. Thus, the tournament takes about six months to finish because remember that pandemic from earlier? well in this alternate universe it still happens, but it was somewhat prevented however to make sure no players, staff, or audience get infected the tournament taking longer than usual, about 6 months and yes these 4 months are used for both Kel and Sunny's development.
So how does Kel story go well obviously so we can have an interesting story he along with his team at the very least make it to the finale against the Northern (K)Nights who are the top team of the Cardinal four, in between the three games the team plays are of course little moments that shows the bond they have with each other and maybe some interaction with the other teams and making bets(wink wink). The real meat of course is Kel mainly when he wins against the first team of the Cardinal four (the SS) the higher ups (mainly a guy named Nolan) finally decide to use Kel as a puppet of sorts and since Kel is very trusting (to a fault yes) he doesn't notice he's being used yet Atlas does, things only start to go bad after Sunny did...something and Kel is told that something but not the context and when the parasitic reporters come to ask him about it he must show his dissatisfaction with Sunny.
Obviously Kel isn't that stupid he knows something is up and even then his faith in his friends means he knows Sunny wouldn't have done what he did without reason so he won't sell out Sunny...until he is threatened with the "safety" (as in reputation) of his family, friends and lover and well he kind of has no choice so he accepts the deal (sad wink) later he calls Sunny and ask not to sugar code what happened so Sunny tells what happened in detail leaving Kel very shocked he tells Sunny that while he shouldn't have left "a mess" considering they were out of his control and dangerous he did what he had to(I will explain in his story).
Kel also tells Sunny what he has to do and Sunny has no problem and says he can handle himself and tells Kel he has to win and hangs up leaving Kel relieved and even more determined, thus the story keeps going when Kel and his team beat another of the Cardinal four Sunny does something around the same time in his story that makes the higher ups (that have names in his story) very...Nervous and force Kel into becoming a symbol, an icon, a brand that goes against Sunny more or less forcing an Identity onto him, this is the sub-theme of this part and yes (minus part 1) every other part has a sub-theme and the only reason I'm spelling this one out is because it could get lost in this overly complicated plot.
Too explain further almost every character major or minor is starting to have an identity crisis and are trying to find out who they are and what they want to do apart from Sunny since I feel by this point, he knows who he is and what he wants to do but the conflict is what other people think of him and his messed-up mind which I'll go over is his section. Back to Kel's story as it proceeds many developments, twists and turns, and close calls happen throughout the games most of which I'll leave up to you guys the only thing I want to happen is Atlas of course betraying Kel and the team and moving on to the Northern (K)Nights and becoming it's leader to specifically take down Kel and his image, oh and if your wondering "was he hired by Nolan" no he has a separate agenda from everyone else making him the actual wild card that just goes by his own flow.
Finally where at the grand Finals it's been a heck of a ride with many shedding not only sweat but some blood the Forward Frontiers and the Northern (K)Nights face off in Nearby City since that was the reason Kel was scouting it out in the first place to find a nice stadium and places for the team to relax before and after the game, of course Kel has a pregame speech before the game like a lot of sports movies (ever watch remember the titans maybe...please) and...LET'S START THE GAME. Things get intense both teams showing no signs of backing down going hard on every play, every pass, and every throw or dunk especially when it comes to Kel and Atlas who always look ready to throw down whenever they interact, but in the last minutes of the game both teams are neck and neck only needing a few points to pass the other the final play commences and...
Notes:
Sorry if this is a little short but considering the many rewrites this has gone through and even then I'm still iffy on some things
I feel the wait will have been worth it by the time we're finally done with this part
