SUNNY
After Kel leaves Sunny with Aubrey in arms returns to their new apartment since as stated in the...previous chapters after the fiasco in part 3 the general public "knows" he's most likely the Black Sun vigilante and his past mainly what happened between his sister and his father thanks to police investigation, after Christmas Sunny and Aubrey had to go to a new apartment since people were being pricks during that time and Aubrey got a job what kind of job doesn't exactly matter so long as it pays well for a decent apartment. For a good while the first part of Sunny's story is just slice of life he helps out basil in his flower shop along with photography, practices with Mari to help her become a musician along with practicing for a stage play and somewhat bridge the gap between himself and his father, and Hero is about to become a doctor and well he's softened but still angry at Sunny.
Remember that gym membership Kel gave to Sunny as a present yeah always had a purpose that being Sunny is usually bored by himself when no one else needs help ("but the comic" well remember that continues as animations which take time and he works at his own pace and it's reliant on his own dream which aren't always good more on that l) so he calls everyone to their hangout spot which I've retconned into a bar (despite most of them not drinking) and says he can invite them all as guests to work out if they want and they all agree to join in, so the next day Sunny, Mari, Aubrey, Kim, Hero, Basil, and even Samson along with the ex-Hooligans all get what they need and head to the Gym and immediately regrets it as many start to take notice of the girls and others start to take notice of Hero and Basil leaving the other boys attentionless, Sunny of course doesn't care until some meat heads try hit on his sister and Aubrey and suddenly he's Furious along with Hero naturally Basil tries to calm them down and takes them to the sandbag. Sunny attacks to bag immediately and relentlessly surprising everyone with how it looks like blind strikes but to trained fighters the strikes are more than accurate soon Sunny hits the sandbag with his left hand and prepares a powerful strike with his right AND...he punches through the bag which wasn't the result he wanted
Sunny: Help Basil: I just how!? Hero: what were you trying to do?
Sunny: punch it hard enough to break the bag off the chain Everyone: WHAT!?
Sunny: Well, I've done it before! sure they were cheap but this one is too right?
Mari: (deadpan) just like that? Samson: (facepalm) and when did they break son?
Sunny: Uh e-every 3 to 4 sessions Aubrey: UGH!
She's rolling her eyes at this point and pulls him out, Aubrey knows why he is angry so he takes him with the others following to the ring and asks Sunny for an impromptu self-defense lesson, so she can become more reliant for herself leaving her "old style" behind (and some lingering fears in part 3). This of course catches Sunny by surprise, him teach?, but as his friends step up for the lesson which includes: Kim, Hero, and all the ex-hooligans (Mari staying out because of the stage play and Samson's "old") he tells them all to sit and starts as his teacher did...
Sunny: "Under my tutelage you will learn all 170+ martial arts that are known to man. You will know their strengths, weaknesses, history, and find out which ones are your favorites. By the end you will forget all that the movies have taught you and truly learn how to break bones, take blows, and look damn cool while doing it" this was the first thing old man bob taught me and I think it shows (tries to flex)
Aubrey (VERY deadpan) wow what a hunk Mari: yeah, strut your stuff little brother
Basil: weird flex but okay Hero: (muffled) rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh...
Kim: please Kel's better Samson: heh you did good old man
Vance, Charlene, Angel, and Mikhale (THE MAVERICK) yes finally remembered are enamored and bow down to their new sensei (yes, they do know he was black sun)

The gang turns to see a MASSIVE MAN in a Gi of some sort standing there menacingly staring at Sunny along with others in the same Gi also staring at him
Sunny: W-Well, I technically don't know all the martial arts I'm just adept and-
The man jumps into the ring in a backwards somersault reveling his name on the gi "Simon Spencer" with a serpent logo
Simon: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." if you cannot even grasp that then you have no right to call yourself a fighter, you're a disgrace to the craft! And you were taught under HIM!
Sunny's friends were starting to get angry yet the man himself didn't want things to escalate so said
Sunny: woah guys it's all right I don't have what you would call a fighter's sense of pride and I forgot to tell you all this, so Bob has been Blacklisted by the Martial arts community for speaking out against certain practices and ended up battling a whole lot of people and won ALL of them which didn't mean much since the damage was done and the Morals/Ethics of all of this I don't care for BUT I will say this "Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own." A quote from the same man and I practiced those 10,000 kicks 10,000 times
Basil: Well said Sunny now le-
Spencer punched Basil to silence him which was his first and final mistake as Sunny then breaks said arm before he speaks again, this obviously leads into one big fight with the sunshine gang (minus Mari and Basil for obvious reasons) and the Serpent dojo along with everyone in the gym in an all out rumble (can you tell I want to make a battle series) of course the sunshine gang win and escape by the skin of their teeth (if they have any) and try to sleep this off like a bad dream. Unfortunate for them the news picked this up and only slandered Sunny because F #k him right? this leads back to the phone conversation with Kel and afterward some more fluff happens with the only important part happening is...
Aubrey, Mari, and Samson are worried about Sunny's mental health since while he has been doing well, certain "events" that has happen recently like the Vigilante group The Black Suns which you know he unintentionally made, many nightmares he's been having, and certain tendencies they feel he should finally see a therapist. Sunny immediately says no since he went to one before and... things didn't go well due to implied sexual harassment on both him and his mother which gets Samson's attention, but Mari ensures everyone that this therapist is the one she has had for a while now named Eric Edwards and he's completely clean. Sunny and Aubrey go home and while Aubrey gets some quick Groceries Sunny gets a call and answers.
(REAL TALK if you or a loved one is suffering mental health issues, Depression, etc. I implore you please get help what I am writing is purely fiction and while there are real life accounts of people in these positions using it for their "selfish and disgusting desires" there are just as many people you genuinely want to help you get through whatever you are dealing with, Sunny is an EXTREMLY unique case that while not impossible is very improbable and to show this isn't just me feinting empathy here's a video link you'll be confused at first but I guarantee you'll laugh and cry for the right reasons with all that said thank you for reading and I want to tell you personally that you ARE worth SOMETHING to SOMEONE even if you don't see it)
Sunny goes to Edwards with Aubrey and Mari and when they see him Sunny thinks he looks nice enough, but it all comes down to the session, so the session commences and it's fairly good so far, he asks questions and Sunny answers honestly that is until Edwards mentions Black Sun. Apparently Edwards has been spying on Sunny for some time and has read up on the comic all to get a grasp on his character concluding that he is a sociopath and possibly a psychopath considered he has killed before yet seems fine. Sunny stays quiet leaving Edwards to reveal he is connected to some powerful people and those people are the ones dragging Sunny through the mud, so he is here to make a deal.
As Sunny gets up and turns away Edwards makes it very clear he wants to have the sex with Mari ever since he first met her along with Aubrey do that and he'll talk to the big men upstairs to lay off Sunny and maybe repair his family image Sunny turns around LAUGHING
Eric: w-what? Sunny: oh sorry I just wanted to test the noise insulation in this place
Eric: h-how? Sunny: you need that to hide all the moaning, thrashing, and yelling right And I know because *ringing* ah there they are
Eric: y-y-you I have your life by the balls if you don't- Sunny: (taking of his shirt, pants, and puts on some gloves) please tell me your recording ?: just keep him alive
Eric: wait you don't have to- Sunny: I bet they all said that...RIGHT!?
Eventually Sunny comes out fully clothed and says Eric will see him next weekend and tries to usher the girls out of the building, but Mari wants to talk to him and goes to the door only to find it's locked. She bangs on the door and yells his name to get his attention until the PA system says "Mari darling I'm busy go away" Mari pouts with Aubrey thinking what a dick looking at sunny to see him...livid they go to the elevator passing a rather strange man and going home. The next day after Aubrey is at work Sunny goes to the bar to meet up with someone.
Arlo: Well, if it isn't Sunny Obediah Suzuki(or Hidaka) the main man himself who doesn't want to be the main man
Sunny sees many new faces some who look chill while others stare with intent to kill and like Kel's team before I'm leaving the rest of the group up to the community and personally I want this to be just another job for them not some "THE JOB" stuff since there only going to be here for the this part and maybe part 6(also in the Omori community many have given the last name Suzuki or Hidaka to Sunny and his family this would mean he and Mari are Japanese on Samson's side since Suzuki is a common last name there and Hidaka is also Japanese with rough translations being Hi meaning day and daka meaning high, Obediah comes from Maria's father or Sunny and Mari's grandfather and given her red hear she may come from a variety of places but she herself was born in America which is where the game may take place in given the currency in the real world segments. Sunny was getting pissed until he got a call from Mari and was told to answer by Arlo.
Mari: Sunny are you free? Sunny: foooooorrr?
Mari: Okay so before the whole fiasco with our family and the "situation" with that Venom gang I was scouted by someone to help out in a play called Hamilton
Sunny: Like Alexander Hamilton? What role? And scouted by who?
Mari: calm down little bro I'll be playing the role of Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton and I was scouted by a man of the name of Wallace Walker a very famous actor and director whose helping out on this relatively small production...
Sunny looked at Arlo who had devious smile and realized that he was expecting this
Mari:…and basically, we needed some extra's and I want you to help
Sunny: Extra? I mean are you sure? Mari: well it would be weird if you were Hamilton *mumbles* but if Hero were Hamilton and you were Burr
Sunny: Mari I can still hear you Mari: OH, and don't worry about practice we have about a month to do so
Sunny: and why should I do this? Mari: Cause you need to get out of the apartment! Didn't Edwards say you need to get a hobby so you can figure things out?...Sunny?
Sunny: I'll do it Mari: Awesome don't worry you're going to love this

Sunny: I'm sure I will
From here things go how you think Sunny and Mari practice for the play while spending some time together which I imagine would get him the ire of any male members of this production (yes despite the fact Mari makes it clear she has a boyfriend and Sunny is her brother but of course the "tainted image" of Sunny is not something that goes away easily and sometimes men are just...so dumb speaking as one myself) nothing much happens save of course the news of Edwards brutal assault and later the exposure of all of his secrets including but not limited to: sexual assault, bribery, blackmailing, etc. The Sunshine gang of course react differently Mari couldn't believe that someone she trusted almost like family was secretly...all of THAT, Hero gets all pissed off with Samson again for not doing a background check on the guy, Samson...doesn't react strangely or at least visibly very Sunny-like, and Aubrey well she remembers the mysterious man who came in after them and he was caught at the scene of the crime yet supposedly escaped almost like...
one day about a week before the play Sunny was walking by himself at night and is kidnapped, he tries to fight them off yet somehow the kidnappers are restraining him without hurting him and he can't see them. He knows it's pointless to struggle so he lets them take him wherever and it's not good. At some secret Location the bag is pulled off him and a speech is starting...
Leader: We are the Black Suns, a vigilante group that has sworn itself to the mission of taking down evil wherever they may be in the shadows, while our methods may be brutal we believe to fight fire with fire the only way to get rid of evil is to make sure it never comes back.
Thus, you may be wondering why we have this man tied up, what has he done and why are we broadcasting this information (the leader side steps out of the camera's way to reveal Sunny)
Sunny: Hey city it's me again on the big screens or little screens for honestly idk why
Leader: Hello founder
Sunny: Uh you may have gotten the wrong person...
Leader: humph of course you must deny it after all with the life you've been leading you need too, this man once dawned what we wear to take down the scum known as the venom gang and successfully did so and "got away with it" is what the authorities would say, sometime afterwards we formed the Black suns and decided to let our founder live his life and pick up where he left off.
Sunny: sensing a but coming...
The leader turns around suddenly the restraints of Sunny are released and before he can react he's kicked so hard he flung back into...an arena? Sunny hits the floor hard and as he gets up he gets hit in the face, then in his stomach, and his back and basically, he's brutally beaten up and by the time it's done Sunny can barely stand up and looks so bloody it's not even funny, yet
Sunny: *spit* is...IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT!? *pant* oh shit that hurts
Leader: Don't worry I'll give you a dignified death unlike the other scum
Sunny: others?
The leader snaps his fingers revealing with many lights blaring showing the other victims of the Black Suns many tortured others still barely alive
The Leader: the reason your about to meet the same but less cruel fate is because of your misdeeds against Simon Spencer and Eric Edwards you've tarnished the name of Black Sun and now you must be punished
Sunny: you cannot tell me I was in the wrong for either of them one was an asshole who attacked my friend UNPROVOKED! and the other was a monster who's next victim was MY SISTER!
The Leader: Then reclaim your freedom the only way you know how
Before the 2 duke it out a giant police force (mainly SWAT) along with Hero and Samson surprisingly bust into the Black Suns secret hideout and a massive fight ensues a mainly non-lethal fight with tear gas, riot shields, and batons but still a bloody one. This doesn't stop the Leaders assault on Sunny and both combatants fight it out, this goes on until some BS members jump in to help the leader take down Sunny, of course to even the odds Hero and Samson jump into the arena to Help Sunny, Samson with some wrestling skills and Hero with Muay thai. Eventually by the end of battle most of the members of The Black Suns are either captured or incapacitated leaving only the Leader and very few members left who escaped. The trio try to take down the leader who after all the damage he's done is still up and literally kicking, as he escapes, he takes a young officer as a hostage...
Sunny: stop! if you kill him it won't matter what you do from here your done for do you understand!?
The Leader: but you did the same thing remember? Those who get in the way of justice will be punished
Sunny then remembered in one of the safe houses of the venom gang where they had pictures of Aubrey and Kim that pushed him past the boiling point of rage (I want to specify a silent rage), he grabbed a gun and took a hostage and he...
The leader let the officer go Sunny yelled for the officer to hit the ground but then *BANG* it was too late Sunny caught the lifeless man and before the leader could be pursued *BOOM*

A few days later a memorial service is held for the officers who lost their lives and the ones who survived were commemorated for their actions even Hero and Samson, but of course Sunny's name was once again dragged through the mud ruthlessly by a politician named Nolan and even demands Sunny turn himself in. Sunny in the house of his father hears all this and is told by his father and surprisingly Arlo that he needs to lay low revealing that Samson and the Confidence men are in this together trying to take down Nolan and Walter, turns out Walter may have had an "dubious" affair with an actor who was married and the only thing keeping that from the light of day is Nolan who is the true mastermind behind everything including making Sunny's life miserable. Yeah, we're going straight to political conspiracy but why go after Sunny? Well bear with me for truly the last time *INHALE* so back in that safe house Sunny burned down turns out that Nolan's son Nathan who was sick of his life a privilege and ran away to join the gang a big leap in logic I know but, Nolan allowed this since he did the same thing when he was young explaining all his shady connections so he let his son do the same thing with his people watching also explaining why the police did next to nothing about them...Until Black Sun that is. Safe to say Nolan was pissed when not only his son was burned to death but the Autopsy revealed he may have been alive for a few more hours before going into shock and dying later the only thing he had on him was a picture of him and his dad...shit man why am I writing this?
Thus, when Nolan heard that Sunny was the main suspect in the Black Sun he tried to make sure Sunny was found guilty and got the worst possible punishment (death sentence) and even funded the investigation into Sunny's family which only made Sunny look more of a victim and Samson more of a sociopath (huh like father like son also I'm unsure if Samson would be charged with anything what he did was messed up in so many ways but considering he wasn't the only one keeping this secret it probably be hard to build something I feel idk where my legal eagles at, also more of that in part 5 while being foreshadowed in parts 3 and 4). "So, wait so the main motivation for the Villain is just to...F $k over Sunny did you plan this out?" you are most likely asking and yes...to an extent I knew going into to part 4 I wanted there to be consequences for Sunny's short stint as a Vigilante not just physically, emotionally, and mentally but also socially one doesn't just take down a small local gang and expect people to just be okay with and forget it especially if they were taken down brutally cause when copycats enter the equation escalation happens like what Gordon said in Batman Begins.
This also fits into the Bargaining title because both Atlas and Nolan want something that while understandable (especially Nolan) it's ultimately petty and selfish. Kel and Sunny can be selfish too but what they want is simpler to spend their lives with the people they love, they want success as well but aren't blindly chasing it reiterating the lesson in part 3. Another thing is that in Asian cultures mainly in China and Japan 4 is an unlucky number since to pronounce it in both languages you say "shi" (may vary) meaning Death and while Sunny's race is never stated, and the last names are more of a community thing I think it's appropriate that part 4 is the one where we go full throttle on stupid crap to happen to Sunny cause once again this all started because he accidentally killed his sister and now we've gone to full blown conspiracy that's unbelievably petty. (Copy this into a document you may get 13 pages, really didn't mean that)
So to finally wrap this up That Hamilton play is canceled when Walter's affairs are exposed basically ruining his career, and it's explained that the original plan was to use the trap meant for Sunny on Walter but since the Black Suns became an unexpected wild card on both sides the confidence men used the commotion of Sunny's Kidnapping and "execution" to find evidence of Walters misdeeds under Nolan's notice so all that's left is Nolan, if your wondering about Sunny's friends mainly Aubrey and Basil don't worry all hate is squarely on Sunny seeing the other 2 as "victims" in his games which of course they get angry over that little statement but hold out until they get caught up to speed on...well pretty much everything
Once again in the hangout spot everyone who's on Sunny's gathers together too be told of the plan in the Nearby stadium 😊 where the final game of the compass tournament is going to happen all the pieces are in place and it's time...for action
