FINALE
LET'S START THE GAME. Things get intense both teams showing no signs of backing down going hard on every play, every pass, and every throw or dunk especially when it comes to Kel and Atlas who always look ready to throw down whenever they interact, but in the last minutes of the game both teams are neck and neck only needing a few points to pass the other the final play commences and... The lights turn off.
The power is out everyone is in a frenzy except Atlas who is trying to find the ball in the dark, soon the emergency power turns on some of the lights and Kel sees a familiar face
Sunny: Kel!
Kel: Sunny!
The 2 friends reunite after 4 long months not even caring about who's around them
Kel: You have no idea how good it is to see your face man after I saw that hideout explode, I tried to call you and when you didn't answer I called Kim, Hero, Basil, Mari, Aubrey and your dad but none of them would answer either
Sunny: Sorry about that but what about you I've technically seen your face on so many things it's kind of funny. Did they work you too hard?
Kel: Nah while me and the team were practicing, I would occasionally need to head out for a quick commercial or photoshoot. It was kind of boring honestly
As they were talking said team were around them wanting to introduce themselves to the man Kel would never shut up about explaining that while Kel did talk about his other friends like the "flower boy", "the angry girl", "the mischievous girlfriend", "the caring if cold older brother" and "the undead sister" at the center of it all was the man himself Sunny (to be clear Kel will have told the story from his perspective minus the black sun stuff).
Kel: oh that reminds me what about the others, is Kimberly here?
Sunny: So THAT's where Kim comes from, man I'm dumb...
Kel: oh shit uh...
Atlas: HEY!
Everyone turns to see Atlas holding the basketball
Atlas: are we going to finish this or what?!
Sunny: I'd go with "or what" personally
Kel: Sunny's right Atlas I'm not too smart myself but it's clear something has been wrong with this tournament from the beginning, everything that has been happening to us and the people in Nearby city like you know switching teams which shouldn't even be possible or legal without-
Atlas: Shut up! I was given one job by North himself to take you down in this match to ruin your image!
Kel: Sunny
Sunny: Yes Kel?
Kel: were we...supposed to hear that?
Sunny: not Like that obviously but Kimberly said "Atlas is like Kel if he was actually dumb and greedy" so she took a gamble and by some cosmic luck that wish I had, it worked
Kel: Hey what's that supposed to mea- wait a minute (Kel looked behind him to see Kim with a phone)
Kim: and send, hey babe you wouldn't believe the plan we had instead- woah
Before Kim could finish Kel was already embracing her which made her blush like no one's business, but the love will have to stop as Atlas and his team attack the group, yep another battle royal thankfully Kel's team is also there so the field is even and they are more than willing to fight because of everything they've been through with Kel. However, more people are coming into the stadium and look ready to fight Kel and Sunny since they are the other teams the Forward Frontiers beat earlier in the tournament, so things are looking grim as the teams enter the field until the speakers turn on.
?: Halt stop this fighting and come with us quietly Atlas...and uh the rest of you
Atlas: bullshit you don't have any evidence and Nolan will protect me!
?: A-are you serious Kim you uploaded the video right?
Kim(yells): told you dumb as a brick!
?: *sigh* and we had such a good plan ah well everyone Ri-se up
Suddenly people from the seats start to rise and charge into the field this is the rest of the members of the Confidence men along with Hero, Aubrey and the ex-hooligans Vance, Charlene, Angel, and Mikhale (THE MAVERICK).
Sunny and Kim: Auby!
Aubery: hey hon and 'KIMBERLY' (very smug yes)
Kel: Brother!
Hero: we'll catch up later for now let's finish this, also Kimber-?
Kim: CAN YOU GUYS STOP, IT'S A COMMON NAME
Vance: Well sis I think it's-
Atlas: SHUUUUUUUUUUUT UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!
Finally I gave a line to one of the hooligans and it's cut off, what can I say even if you don't like or mind Kel x Kim she's at least important to Aubrey so she's naturally a bit more involved.
Moving on we can go full Yakuza 7 by making Sunny's perspective go into rpg mode when fighting Atlas since unlike other foes Sunny has nothing against him at least not as intensely like with Albert or the BS leader so in a very twisted way Sunny is having fun beating the shit out of Atlas with his friends so much to the point, he sees it as a game add in the fact that Aubrey has the bat he bought her, Hero whips out a frying pan Mari bought him, and Kel uses a basketball as a weapon a certain idea takes root in his brain especially as he remembers the short game he made for the finale of his comic. Eh that won't go anywhere.
Anyway, Sunny and co win the fight thanks to the power of friendship and blunt force trauma as the rest are either knocked out, apprehended, or ran away the fight is over.
Kel: *pant* so you're saying that Sunny's dad was connected to con men
Hero: "Confidence" men (says with complete disinterest)
Kel: R-right and over the course of this 4-month long tournament, they along with Sunny's help have been taking this Nolan guy down by going after his accomplices
Aubrey: There's enough evidence against him but said accomplices are tight lipped so getting a confession out of them isn't easy thus we needed a fresh pawn that would give one without knowledge of who Nolan really was.
Kim: Nolan wanted to use Atlas at the last second and that was his mistake even if he didn't blab like earlier, when he was caught the Con men would have found other ways for him to "slip up" so hopefully we can take Nolan down for good since worst case scenario he gets out of this scott free and tries to ruin Sunny's life again.
Kel: wait he's after Sunny why?
Hero: maybe because actions have consequences Kel
The stadium is silent. Kel tries to figure out what Hero means...then it clicks Kel goes to Sunny trying to figure out some way of saying what he wants without explicitly saying it
Kel: Sunny...he doesn't mean...THAT...right?
Sunny: I don't regret what I did, but I did it out of Anger and this is the result
Hero: Yeah, cause every time this happens it's because YOU do what you selfishly want to do
Kel is shocked and confused until Kim tells him about Nolan's Son and Aubrey is about to snap at Hero not because he's wrong, he's honestly not (if some of you disagree tell me why), but because she wants him to stop his emo shtick.
?: as someone who affected the most by what your implying STOP IT NOW!
Kel: that voice from before Mari?
Kel turned to see he was right it was her and rushed over to hug her
Mari: I've missed you too I was in that announcement both and was just waiting to give the signal to come out after reinforcements arrived
Kel: so if you're here what about Basil
Mari: oh he's with Arlo
Kel: who?!
they forgot to mention him speaking of which
Basil: so why does he have a second office
Arlo: well he does like his sports so when he issued the construction of this stadium he wanted it to be his magnum opus you could say something he could treat like a second home.
Basil: ok so why am I here for?
Arlo: photography so we can take pictures of Nolan's angry face and maybe some other important things trust me we're in full control
Basil shrugs just wanting to get this over with but as they got to the door Basil had the urge to ask a question
Basil: Is Sunny a bad person
Arlo: huh...hmmm...are talking about the accident or black sun
Basil didn't answer
Arlo: hard to say for the accident with Mari it was clear that both her and Sunny weren't thinking straight due to stress it was only a matter of time when things got physical... too bad it was on the stairs
Basil clenches his camera
Arlo: as for Black Sun the only reason the Venom group was a problem at all was because of Nolan protecting his son so when the gang wronged Sunny he was more than willing to return the favor especially after being taught how to fight by a master. And as for... the killing well guess it's a "good thing" he did it once
Basil: that's not funny
Arlo: neither is keeping a secret that wasn't even true for 8 years
Basil flinches what could he say
Arlo: Basil I'm not going to tell you what you should have done. It's in the past and heck I've got a few secrets myself I plan to take to the grave, but let me say this sometimes it's best to just let things run their course cause as we've seen trying to "change fate" will do nothing but make things worse as you can attest
Basil: yeah, surprised I'm even here
Arlo: What Sunny did was wrong? Yes, should he be punished by law? Maybe, will it happen? No. The guy behind these doors tried to change that and look at him now (opens said doors)
Both men see Nolan's body Hanging...by a noose
Arlo: WHAT THE FUCK!?
Basil: no not again
Basil is on the floor whimpering while it's a different body the image of Something hanging is forever seared into Basil's mind causing him to have a panic attack
Arlo: Basil! Calm down buddy we just need to get out of-*THWACK*
Arlo is knocked out and a figure is behind him
Leader: finally you stopped talking, I need this
The BS leader gets the camera from Basil
Leader: don't worry I won't hurt you (snaps pictures of Nolan) that video your friend sent is really trending along with all that evidence but is that really a good Permanent solution?
The BS leader goes to Nolan's desk to upload the photo's
Basil: s-s-s-s-su-sun
Leader: what's that calling him? go on bring him here we still have a score to settle
Basil: s-SUNNY!
Faintly Sunny and Company heard that scream and called out in response eventually making their way to an open lobby area through a half open gate where they reunited with Basil
Sunny: BASIL WHAT'S WRONG!?
Basil: h-h-h-he's here
Sunny: Who?
Leader: ME
Everyone: YOU!?
Basil: he k-k-killed
Sunny: killed? Where is-?!
Leader: calm down I didn't kill Arlo or anyone, but I did see Nolan in his office HANGING
Everyone stopped at the mention of that word except Kim who got a message
Kim: g-guys he's not joking!
Leader: go ahead and check I'm not leaving
Everyone checked online to see an image of Nolan's hanging corpse except for Sunny h=who just stepped forward towards the BS Leader
Sunny: Aubrey, everyone get Basil and get out of here
Aubrey: what?
Leader: finally, are you ready to-
Sunny: I have conditions
Leader: let me guess when I win leave anyone who has ever been associated with you fine but if they veer off the past of truth well, I do have a reputation to uphold
Aubrey: NO NO NO! Sunny, you don't have to fight this guy, let's just leave and let the police handle him
She said dragging him by the arm to the exit and the group followed yet as they passed the gate they soon noticed that somehow Sunny wasn't with them, and the gate closed behind them.
Sunny: heh it actually locked, see ya on the flipside the only who must face the consequences is me
The group yelled for Sunny as he and the BS leader face each other and do that cool thing where they walk in a circle as the sky turns grey and starts raining (because yes there are windows why wouldn't there be)
Leader: Ah isn't this how it was your first time?
Sunny: that was a mistake, a mistake I won't make again
Leader: tch! You were just afraid to continue the work that needed to be done, all so you could live your life like some common trash!
Sunny: that shows how little you value your life or maybe it shows how little you value yourself and how much you want to hide that "weakness"
Leader: SHUT UP THIS IS WHO I AM! THIS IS WHO I'M MEANT TO BE!
Sunny: It's nothing more than a mask to hide from the pain that's why I made it all black to represent my pain, my fears, my rage, my sorrow, my love, and all of my regrets
(For those still confused or find this pretentious, It's SOMETHING that's what the point of the mask is...
Yes, I do hate myself or you don't get it, thank God)
Anyway, fight time since this just Yakuza at this point it's only appropriate to use a final boss theme for funnies so let me just pick out my favorites
Yakuza 3-Fly Yakuza 5-Battle for the Dream(heh) Yakuza 6-Bloodstained philosophy or The way of Life Yakuza 7-Light and Darkness Lost Judgement-Unwavering Belief or Viper but I don't think it fits
I would write something here for the fight but this is getting log and I'm getting tired, so to any that wants to due this fight justice through text, drawings, or animations you have my permission to go all out but not too over the top.
The result however is not what you would expect since at the end of the fight both Sunny and the BS Leader are too tired and beaten up to do anything meaning it's a draw. In part 3 Sunny was able to do what he did thanks to his father and was able to beat Albert thanks to Kel at the last possible second. Here no support just him and the thing he created on accident which he tries to correct in this fight but fails since both him and the BS leader fall to the ground exhausted...except the leader has some strength left and gets on top of Sunny attempting to choke him to death
Sunny thinks 'heh so SHE was predicting my death huh? It's kind of funny' but of course police come just in time and tackle the Leader off Sunny as they restrain the leader
Leader: HEAR ME YOU SPINLESS COWARD THERE IS STILL MORE OF US OUT THERE AND WHEN THEY ARE READY, THEY ARE GOING TO COME FOR YOU, NO MATTER WHERE YOU HIDE, THEY WILL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF EARTH YOU HEAR ME! GET OFF OF ME!
Sunny is taken to an ambulance and-
-Few Weeks Later-
November 20th a few days before thanksgiving and what was supposed to be the end of the tournament but after Nolan's death things have been hectic Kel and Kim had to move several times just to keep the press off them eventually settling down right next door to Sunny and Aubrey in their apartment complex
The former BS Leader whose name is never revealed to Sunny or the audience because symbolism confesses to be the original Black Sun vigilante kidnapping Sunny for "an extremely PERSONAL grudge" since there's no evidence that says otherwise and both men are built similar the police just take it announcing to the public they caught him and formally apologizing to Sunny and his family for the false accusation (think they can do more) and finally put the Black Sun case to rest.
Arlo is fine one of the members of the Confidence men got to him before the police showed up, he said his farewells to group but had to leave quick "Con work is never done" he said as he left for parts unknown
Sunny and Basil are both getting Therapy finally I know and while Sunny was hesitant at first he quickly opened up as the therapist gave him pretty sound advice (even if he can't tell her what really happened) oh and to those who think I forgot Polly Basil's caretaker...I did but she's going to be involved in the next part don't worry.
Who else ummm Hero? Eh he's still a prick but warming up thanks to Mari
Speaking of Mari she's seen in the Bathroom with a strange device that read's in her hand and a shocked look on her face, as a matter of fact there are many strange device's strewn about the bathroom and they all read...
