"Rebekah?" Daisy knocks on the front door of the Mikaelson mansion, not daring to use the doorbell, afraid to wake someone.
Daisy knew it was late, but the lights were still on and right now she didn't have anywhere else to go. She was extremely upset and her mother was on a night shift and didn't want to put her troubles above that of her mother's patients.
"Daisy-my love, what are you doing here at this hour?" Finn opens the door and looks surprised upon seeing his mate.
Finn's expression goes from surprise to concern when he notices the tears on Daisy's flushed cheeks. "You are disconcerted. Are you hurt?"
"Daisy?!" Kol's panicked shout comes from within the mansion and he speeds to the door, looking worriedly at his distressed mate, soon followed by Niklaus and Elijah. When they heard the knock, the brothers were engaged in a conversation about possible complications that the soulmate situation between them and Daisy could pose.
"I'm sorry, is Rebekah awake?" Daisy asks timidly, she liked the brothers, but she would rather talk to another girl now. She was sure that Rebekah would know how to deal with boy trouble. Daisy cranes her head hoping to catch sight of the blonde, in her efforts she almost trips.
Finn immediately grabs her arms, a second later he can feel Daisy gripping onto his arms to balance herself, a slight tingling sensation goes through him. Finn looks at his arms for a moment, before focussing back on his upset mate. "Daisy? I must know if you are injured." With one hand he grasps Daisy's chin, making her look up at him.
Daisy shakes her head while trying to blink the tears away, feeling shame bubble up at the idea that all the Mikaelsons had to see her as the mess she was right now.
"I'm sorry! I know you said I was always welcome, and I know you didn't mean that but I-" Daisy stammers, while letting go of Finn.
"Shh, it's alright Daisy. We meant it, you are always welcome here." Elijah assures, brushing a strand of hair out of her face.
Daisy looks up at Elijah, not able to suppress a shiver as his cool fingers touch her flushed cheek.
"We're happy you came to us." Niklaus adds, smiling softly at his mate.
"Where's Bekah?" Daisy asks meekly.
"She's upstairs, I'll get her." Kol offers before running off.
Daisy is suddenly very aware of her sloppy appearance. Her hair was a mess, her cheeks were bright red and covered in tears and streaked makeup, and she was still wearing her work shirt, which had been spilled on by a drunk customer. Self-consciously she crosses her arms in front of her chest as if protecting herself from their gazes.
Seeing his mate's anxious demeanor, Niklaus grabs a small box from the little table near the door and presents it to Daisy, in an effort to distract her.
"What's is it?" Daisy asks apprehensively, not taking the package from Niklaus's hands.
"A key." Niklaus offers, opening the little box for her to see. "This way you can always come here. No need to knock, you can barge in any time." Niklaus teases. Niklaus had resolved to sign the house to her name as soon as Daisy was informed of everything, this way their house could truly be a safe haven for her.
"Even when we're not here." Elijah adds, hoping that she would find safety and comfort in their home, knowing she always had somewhere to go.
"Thank you, that's very kind of you." Daisy sniffs, shyly taking the key out of the box Niklaus was still holding up for her.
Impulsively she leans in, snuggling herself into Niklaus's chest. She was in desperate need of some comfort and cuddles. She was sure that if he could provide her with a key to his home, he could also hug her. She wasn't sure about the boundaries of their friendship but didn't really care at that moment.
Niklaus exhales softly, barely containing his excitement at the closeness of his mate, before wrapping his arms around her. He was enthused with the knowledge that his mate trusted him enough to seek comfort with him, something that warmed his heart, although he'd rather not have her upset in the first place.
Elijah and Finn stand quietly near the door, mournful expressions on their faces, not sure how to proceed or how to comfort the girl when she was so insistent on speaking with their sister. It stung a little that she'd rather talk to Rebekah than them, but they also understood. Daisy needed her friend.
Daisy felt a calmness settling and melts herself in Niklaus's arms, not minding that they were cuddling on the threshold of his home.
"Daisy." Rebekah calls as she makes her way to the front door. She falters in her step for a moment when she sees her friend snuggled up with Niklaus. Smiling softly at the sight she approaches the group, softly tapping Daisy's shoulder.
Daisy untangles herself from Niklaus and looks up at Rebekah. "I'm sorry for the disturbance, I just really needed to talk to you." Daisy mumbles, not meeting Rebekah's eye. She was afraid Rebekah would lash out or that Daisy had misjudged Rebekah's kindness for friendship.
"Don't be silly, you're always welcome here. I had hoped my brothers had made that clear this afternoon." Rebekah replies, smiling at the girl who was still avoiding her eye, before glaring a little at her brothers who hadn't even asked the poor girl to come in. It was late October and surprisingly chilly, the last thing they needed was for Daisy to catch a cold.
"Let's go up to my room." Rebekah offers, grabbing Daisy's hand.

"I caught them, Jason and Sophie." Daisy mumbles as soon as Rebekah had settled her on the bed, wrapped in a fluffy blanket with a cup of tea in her hands. Finn had brought the drink up along with a plate of leftover cookies from the high tea. He had noted that humans liked to eat sweets in times of distress.
Rebekah frowns a little, she was anxious to hear what Daisy had seen exactly and how much retribution was needed. She apprehensively places an arm around Daisy, who immediately nestles up against Rebekah's side. Rebekah freezes for a moment before relaxing, not very familiar with the normal displays of affection between friends.
"I visited him after work, hoping to surprise him with burgers. He tried to send me away, claiming to be studying, and then Sophie came out of his bedroom in nothing but a bedsheet." Daisy lets out a sob and sniffs once before continuing. "She greeted me as if nothing was amiss. As if I were the intruder in their relationship instead of the other way around"
"I'm so sorry Daisy." Rebekah whispers, pulling the girl closer to her. Rebekah rests her chin upon Daisy's head, not sure how to comfort the girl besides listening and holding her.
Rebekah has had numerous suitors, but heartbreak because of infidelity on the male's behalf was unfamiliar territory. "Do you want me or my brothers to kill him?" Rebekah offers earnestly while rubbing circles over Daisy's arm.
Daisy giggles before engulfing Rebekah into a tight hug. "Could I... maybe stay here?"
"Of course! You can sleep here, it will be a real sleepover!" Rebekah replies enthusiastically. Rebekah jumps off the bed already making her way to the door.
"Stay here, I will get us some snacks and call your mother." Rebekah shouts already out of the door. Rebekah holds back a cry as she runs into her brothers, who were lurking near her bedroom door.
"Are you kidding me? Eavesdropping, really?!" Rebekah whispers harshly while glaring at her brothers, who all looked at her with guilty expressions.
Rebekah makes a few aggressive hand gestures, non verbally telling her brothers to go away.

"Are you sure this is a good idea Kol?" Finn asks carefully, following his youngest brother to the porch of the house.
"Of course it is!" Kol replies indignantly, receiving an elbow to the ribs from Niklaus. "Of course it is." Kol whispers. "She never said we couldn't kill him, besides that, we will be doing the world a service."
"Dysfunctional founder boy." Niklaus grumbles vindictively as he sees Jason dropping a glass on the floor through a window. Niklaus swiftly makes his way over to the front door. With great effort, Niklaus produces a smile at the boy who had upset his mate.
"Klaus?" Jason asks, raising his eyebrow skeptically.
"Jakey, my man." Niklaus greets cheerfully before leaning in. "You might want to invite us, you're buddies, in." Niklaus glares menacingly at Jason. His eyes flicker to a girl that was seated on the couch in nothing but an oversized shirt.
"Come in, guys." Jason mumbles, looking a little confused at the unexpected events of the evening. First Daisy bursts into the door, who only left after totally killing the mood between him and Sophie, and now these guys were at his doorstep. He wonders dazedly why he had even invited them in, he should have told them to get lost.
"How incredibly courteous of you." Niklaus smiles menacingly at Jason while stepping over the threshold, making Jason take a few steps back.
Kol steps into the house behind Niklaus, flashing towards the girl, compelling her to keep quiet.
"You're not going to run and you're not going to scream." Niklaus proceeds, slapping Jason on the shoulder in a friendly gesture. "Take a seat, Jason. It's going to be a long night."

"Where have your brothers gone off to?" Daisy asks, noticing the sound of a car starting a while ago.
"Probably going for a nighttime stroll, restless souls." Rebekah teases before increasing the volume on the television a little, hoping to get Daisy's attention back in the room. The last thing she needed was Daisy to ask tricky questions. The Mikaelson men hadn't informed Rebekah of their plans, but it wasn't hard to guess what they were up to. Rebekah knew they would feel the need to punish the culprits who hurt Daisy.
Rebekah thought that Daisy probably wouldn't want them dead, but Rebekah also knew that she couldn't stop her brothers, even if she wanted to. That's why she decided to stick to her role of comforting and distracting the girl.
"That sounds nice. My mother doesn't like me walking outside at night, but I can imagine that it can be very calming." Daisy hums before focusing back on the movie they were watching.

"I do like it when they beg." Niklaus muses, grinning broadly at the scene before him. Both Jason and Sophie's number of limbs have decreased by a significant amount. Jason had been pleading for the past twenty minutes and Niklaus was surprised the boy hadn't lost his voice yet. Sophie had been mumbling incoherently through the rag Kol had stuffed in her mouth, who had grown tired of her shrieking.
They had extracted some teeth, just for the fun of course. Kol had called it 'foreplay'. Which was disturbing yet appropriate in some way seeing as that was mild compared to the other things they had done to them.
Niklaus was quite keen on breaking each bone in their legs before extracting them and Kol was suddenly very eager to rediscover the location of the spleen in the human body.
Elijah and Finn had kept aloof from the spectacle and let their younger brothers have fun with the evildoers. They would be the ones to deliver the final blow. Elijah secretly enjoyed the sight of life slipping from the eyes of his victims, hearing the heartbeats slow and feel the bodies go limp under his hand. Finn was less interested in these matters, but he was more than eager to seek retribution. The heartbroken expression of his mate was enough stimulus for Finn to renounce his morals.
"It's not much begging now, is it? Sounds like a... how do you call it? A broken record?" Finn comments dryly, impatiently checking his watch.
"Don't worry, Finn. There is no need to make haste with our fun. We should make this last, savor it." Kol retorts, breaking another one of Sophie's fingers. He had contemplated feeding of her but decided against it, the thought of feeding on her was somehow repulsive to him.
"Isn't it nice, us working together, bringing death and destruction over those who oppose and harm our family and mate?" Niklaus smiles up at Finn and Elijah. "What do you think Jakey?" Niklaus asks in a tone as if talking to a baby before breaking the boy's jaw.
Niklaus steps back, gesturing theatrically at the boy while shooting Elijah a pointed look.
"You always did have a way with words, Niklaus." Elijah smiles menacingly at Jason while rolling his sleeves up, unhesitant to strike.

"Rebekah?" Daisy calls softly while touching the blonde's shoulder.
Rebekah hums, letting Daisy know she was listening. The blonde had already been sleeping for half an hour but would be ready to jump to action if something was amiss with Daisy.
"Thank you for being my friend." Daisy whispers before finally closing her eyes.
"Thank you for being mine." Rebekah whispers back, smiling softly at Daisy before closing her eyes again.
A/N:
Hello friends,
Here we have some psycho Mikaelsons, gotta get that retribution you know :). I have no idea what the weather is like in Mystic Falls/America, so I hope Octobers can indeed be chilly :).
I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter as much as I did writing it.
