"If my suspicions are correct you are a siphoner." Kol announces while carefully gauging his mate's reaction. He smiles softly as he sees her repeating the foreign word.

"A siphoner is a kind of witch, one who draws power from other magical sources. While grabbing onto Sage you siphoned magic from her, and while protecting your face you must have accidentally...snapped her neck." Kol continues slowly, making sure Daisy understood what he was saying.

Daisy winces slightly at Kol's wording. "You think I am a witch?" Daisy asks although it sounded more like a statement. She looks into Kol's eyes, looking for a trace of humor, something that would tell her that he was joking.

Daisy looks a little skeptical when she sees Kol nod. Perhaps the Mikaelsons were just like her in desperate need of sleep. "As in... broomsticks and kettles? Harry Potter?" Daisy asks.

"Yes, well no. Not the broomsticks and no Harry Potter." Rebekah replies, smiling a little. They hadn't planned on telling Daisy about the supernatural world so soon, but so far her response has been surprisingly good.

Rebekah had expected the girl to run away but Daisy had been listening attentively. She did feel a little anxious for them to breach the subject of vampires and soulmates. Nowadays it was quite trendy for teenage girls to play around with incense and crystals and call it witchcraft, but vampires were a whole different story.

"So I can do 'magic' if I... hold your hand?" Daisy looks around quizzically at the Mikaelsons. Her fear and nervousness had been replaced by mild enthusiasm and excitement. She does wonder if all humans had magic like Sage had, or perhaps Sage was also a witch., it would explain why she was so strong. Daisy looks down at Niklaus's hand which was still holding onto hers.

Niklaus smiles fondly at his mate, adoring the way she worded the concept of siphoners. "That's one way of putting it." Niklaus comments while softly squeezing her hand.

"Would you please demonstrate what you did earlier?" Elijah asks, curiosity taking over. He promptly kneels in front of Daisy, offering her his hand. He was very keen to learn more about his mate's supernatural ability and the way it would affect him as an Orignal. He had plenty of witch contacts but siphoners were new territory for him.

Daisy looks up at Elijah in horror while shaking her head. The last thing she wanted was to hurt Elijah. Killing one person had been more than enough for her.

"I'm sure I can manage, darling." Elijah assures Daisy, smiling kindly at her.

Daisy hesitantly slips her hand out of Niklaus's and into Elijah's. While doing so her eyes land on the petite ring he was wearing, she hadn't noticed it before. The ring was quite pretty, not something she would have expected him to wear. She shifts her gaze to Kol's hands, who are still wrapped around her, he was wearing the same sort of ring. 'Must be a family heirloom' Daisy thought before focussing back at the task at hand.

Daisy looks up at Elijah, asking him silently for a final sign of approval, if he showed any doubt she wouldn't do it. Elijah nods encouragingly, curiously eying his mate's hand which was pretty much being engulfed by his. Daisy squeezes his hand. Nothing happened for a moment which made both Daisy and Elijah frown.

The rest of the Mikaelsons were watching the scene in front of them with bated breath.

Daisy clears her sore throat a little before furrowing her brow in concentration. She had been quite emotional while doing this last time. She thought back to what it felt like to be almost killed, her panic and fear at that moment.

Rebekah lets out a gasp when she sees a red glow coming from Daisy and Elijah's hands.

Kol subconsciously tightens his hold around his mate, looking on in astonishment. He had met siphoners before, but seeing his mate siphoning was quite astonishing, it made his heart swell with pride.

Daisy's face relaxes as she takes in the warm feeling that was flowing within her. It was a kind of energy that took away all her drowsiness. The tingling sensation she had felt when touching the Mikaelsons before she knew that she was accidentally siphoning them in tiny amounts was nothing compared to this feeling. It was fascinating to Daisy, when being choked by Sage she hadn't seen what she was doing, so this was the first time that she saw the vague red glow and felt the pleasant sensation, the entirety of the action amazed her.

Elijah lets out a small groan but doesn't retract his hand, wanting to see how far Daisy could take this without making him pass out.

Noticing Elijah's discomfort, Daisy promptly loosens her grip which halts her siphoning. "Does it hurt badly? Sage seemed to be in pain." Concern evident in Daisy's voice.

"No, it is a bit uncomfortable but it doesn't hurt." Elijah assures her, pressing a kiss to the palm of her hand before carefully placing it back in her lap. Elijah swiftly takes an empty space on the couch, needing a second to collect himself.

"How are you feeling?" Kol asks, studying his mate, who looked quite replenished, a healthy blush covering her cheeks.

"Good, strange a little...euphoric?" Daisy utters, not sure how to explain the sense of energy she was experiencing. Now that she had siphoned magic she wasn't sure if she should do something with it. She looks at her hands for a moment, not sure if there would be flames bursting out at any second or something else crazy.

"So, I can take magic from all... humans?" Daisy looks around at the Mikaelsons, suddenly doubting if they were even humans, to begin with. If there was such a thing as witches, they too could be supernatural creatures of some sort.

Finn clears his throat awkwardly before deciding to speak up. They might as well tell the truth while they were at it. "Not exactly. Humans normally do not possess any magic. As Kol mentioned you can siphon from different magical sources, such as spelled items, but also supernatural creatures. We happen to be such creatures, hence the reason you could siphon from Elijah." Finn's voice waivers slightly before continuing.

"My siblings and I are...vampires." Finn managed to hold back a grimace, he had fought his nature for so long, and even now, with him being on better terms with his siblings and his improved self-image, it was still strange to admit his 'condition'. He just hoped that his mate wouldn't cower in fear.

"Speak for yourself." Niklaus comments softly after sniffing haughtily.

Daisy nods a little before narrowing her eyes. "I thought vampires were cold and sparkly." Daisy comments, not having heard Niklaus's comment.

"Where did you read that? No wait, let me guess... one of your dirty books?" Kol grins cheekily at his mate.

"They are fantasy novels." Daisy defends, narrowing her eyes at Kol. "It does make sense." She comments after a few seconds of silence. "You guys being vampires, I mean."

"How come?" Kol asks, looking curiously at Daisy, wishing he could have a peek at her thoughts. It astounded him that this was her reaction to the discovery of supernatural creatures in her world.

"Well, I did see your bloody kitchen and your fridge with blood bags." Daisy replies, frowning a little at Kol, had he really forgotten the whole ordeal like Elijah had ordered her to do. Perhaps vampires had a selective memory.

"Wait- You weren't compelled?!" Niklaus chokes out, only now realizing that as a witch Daisy couldn't be compelled.

"Witches can't be compelled." Elijah voices his brother's thoughts, looking quite disturbed at the fact that his mate had walked around with the mental image of him and his siblings covered in blood.

"What is that?" Daisy asks, gaze shifting between the two brothers who were silently communicating something Daisy couldn't decipher.

"Mind control. It's a vampire trick. We can make humans do things that we want, for example, letting them forget things." Rebekah replies.

"You tried to mind control me?" Daisy asks, looking more upset at this revelation than the fact that she was a witch who was surrounded by vampires.

"We only wanted for you to forget what you saw, we didn't want you frightened." Niklaus coaxes, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

Daisy promptly gets up from the couch, ripping herself free from Kol's hold, and backs away so she had a clear view of all the Mikaelsons. She knew she couldn't possibly fight any of them if they were to attack her, but it did give her a sense of security.

"Angel." Kol tries, looking disheartened by Daisy's frustrated expression.

"No, don't you 'Angel' me. I get to be upset about this. You tried to change my memories!" Daisy accuses waving her hands around in frustration, she didn't want to be angry or sad with the Mikaelsons, not after their kindness and friendship, but she didn't like the idea of them trying to alter her memories, her thought, or feelings.

A rather harsh hand movement makes the hearth lit aflame. Daisy jumps away, startled by the accidental action. She nervously clasps her hands together, hoping to restrain her siphoned magic as well as she could, becoming an arsonist wasn't exactly on her bucket list.

"We are very sorry, Daisy. It was wrong of us to attempt t deceive you. Please believe us that we only had good intentions, you were already quite upset with the break-up, we did not want to burden you with this knowledge on an already eventful evening." Elijah apologizes, looking earnestly at his mate, hoping dearly that their past transgression hadn't completely ruined their chances with their mate.

Rebekah sighs, fixing her brothers with an exasperated look before turning to face her friend. "They're idiots. Morons really. But they mean well, they would never have done that with ill intent. I will personally stab them if they try to. We all care too much for you to hurt you." Rebekah offers, internally rolling her eyes at the fact she was once again cleaning up after her brothers.

Daisy nods hesitantly before taking a seat beside Rebekah.

"I am curious to know why you didn't run or call the cops." Niklaus asks, breaking the tense silence.

"I don't know. I mean you have been very kind to me? I didn't think you would really hurt me?" Daisy cringes at her own naivety, any normal person would have run off, but then again, she wasn't exactly normal anymore. "So... Finn's girlfriend-"

"She's not my girlfriend." Finn interrupts hastily, wanting to make very clear that whatever transpired between him and the redhead was in the past. Technically speaking he had never ended the relationship, but there was no way he would let the redhead live after she had almost killed his Daisy.

"Alright, Finn's lady friend." Daisy tries.

"No-"

"Friend?"

"No."

"Alright. Sage. She isn't dead?" Daisy asks, decidedly ignoring the notion that the Mikaelsons and Sage had probably killed a lot of people. She wasn't exactly in the position to judge seeing as she had pretty much killed someone today.

"She's temporarily dead, but will wake soon." Elijah replies, looking mildly amused at his elder brother's grumpy expression.

Daisy processes these words and lets out a little sigh, at least she hadn't killed anyone, not really. "Like Kol did at the dance?"

Kol nods, smiling a little at his mate, who was clearly doing her best to fit the puzzle pieces together.

Daisy blinks, remembering how Damon had stood over Kol's body, looking boastful about his kill. "I think Damon tried to... mind control me in the Grill. Does that mean that Damon is also..."

"Yes. Along with Stefan and Caroline." Rebekah fills in the blanks, looking amused at Daisy's shocked expression.

"I have been going to school with two vampires." Daisy mutters.

"And a fellow witch, miss Bennett." Elijah adds. "Along with a hybrid."

"Hybrid?"

"Tyler Lockwood is a hybrid, half vampire half werewolf."

Niklaus scoffs, he was the Original hybrid, Tyler was nothing compared to him. "I am also a hybrid, love." Niklaus clarifies upon seeing his mate's questioning look.

"I am sure you still have an abundance of questions, my dear. Those questions can all be answered later, but first, we must take care of a more pressing matter. Your injuries." Elijah interjects. Now that his mate was provided with the truth about their nature, he wanted to take care of her wounds. Letting her suffer longer than necessary was unthinkable to Elijah.

Daisy carefully touches her bruised throat, whimpering softly at the contact "I can ice it." Daisy says softly, not wanting to burden them further, she had already cried into Rebekah's lap and clutched onto Kol for dear life while he carried her into the living room, even more care and affection from the Mikaelsons might make her die of shame.

"And what of your head injury?" Niklaus asks, looking unimpressed at his mate's attempts to refuse their help.

As soon as Niklaus mentions it Daisy remembers the dull ache she had been experiencing. Because of all the tension and adrenaline, she didn't feel it until now.

"Good thing our blood has healing properties." Kol remarks. In his lifetime he might have healed a total of three humans. He didn't exactly have high regard for human life, but he would heal Daisy without a moment's hesitation.

Daisy raises a skeptical brow, not willing to believe that drinking blood could do anything good for the human body. She remembers how her mother had told her of a patient who liked to pretend he was a vampire. He had gotten some severe health problems for consuming human blood.

"You had no problem with believing us to be vampires yet don't believe our blood can heal? Niklaus asks, amusement clear on his face.

Daisy isn't sure how to respond to that, so she shrugs.

Finn promptly rises from his seat and walks over to Daisy, settling himself on the spot beside her before biting his wrist and presenting it to his mate, giving her the option to refuse the blood if she really didn't want to. He'd rather not see her hurt, but forcing her wasn't exactly an option either.

Daisy looks up at Finn before looking down at the wound which already seemed to be closing. She had winced a little upon hearing the fangs cutting into the flesh, but she hadn't been repulsed by Finn's transformed face, it was quite remarkable. A little scary, yes, but also very interesting.

Finn quickly reopens his wound for his mate.

Without further thought, Daisy leans forward, gently wrapping her lips around the wound.

Finn lets out a low rumble. His inner vampire was beyond pleased that he was healing his mate, that she was feeding on him. Finn wraps his free arm around his mate, pulling her into his lap.

Daisy doesn't really react other than snuggling into his chest, enjoying the warm embrace. Like on the evening of her breakup, she was in need of cuddles which was only amplified by her increasing drowsiness.

When Daisy feels the throbbing of her head fading away she gently pushes Finn's arm away from her mouth. She rubs the skin of her throat, amazed at the fact that it felt all normal again. "Thank you." Daisy whispers, suddenly feeling bashful because she had drunk from Finn in front of his siblings.

"No need to thank me, my love." Finn assures, softly petting her hair. "I will always heal you." He promises.

"Come, dear." Elijah gets back to his feet, holding a hand out to his mate. "It is close to 4 am, you should sleep."

Daisy obediently takes Elijah's hand and with a last wave to the other siblings, she and Elijah make their way back to Rebekah's room.

"Please stay, 'Lijah." Daisy requests when Elijah is about to leave the room. Elijah had carefully tucked her in, making sure she was comfortable.

Elijah turns around, looking down at his mate, who didn't seem to show any fear or resentment towards him, even after revealing that he was a vampire. "Always." Elijah promises as he climbs onto the bed, wrapping his arms around his mate. It wasn't as if he could really deny his mate anything.

"If you're over a thousand years old, why do you want to be my friends?" Daisy asks, words were slightly slurred, tiredness taking over. She nestles her head against Elijah's chest, happily breathing in his pleasant scent.

Elijah swallows, not willing to answer that question without his siblings present. He is about to reply vaguely to her, but when he looks down, she had already fallen asleep. Smiling adoringly he presses a kiss to Daisy's forehead before also closing his eyes, enjoying the close proximity he had to his mate.

• • •

"My little mate is a witch." Kol states proudly, looking very pleased with this revelation, He knew Daisy was special because she was his mate, but now she was even more unique.

"Siphoner." Rebekah corrects. "I bet this does wonders to your egos, right?" Rebekah deadpans.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Niklaus sniffs haughtily before letting a grin break onto his face.

"The fact she needs someone to siphon from to access her magic, and us being Originals, we are like a neverending energy source." Rebekah comments dryly.

"Providing Daisy with magic would be my absolute pleasure," Finn admits quietly. He was feeling guilty for tonight's events and he would make sure to find a way to make up for all of it. But he was also relieved that he would no longer have to lie to his mate about his vampire nature.

"Oh, that. Yes, that is rather enjoyable." Niklaus grins broadly at his sister. "She did kill the strumpet you despise so very much, sister." Niklaus points out, which makes Rebekah grin as well. Sage's death might have been an accident, but Daisy had proved that she wasn't a weakling. She thought it would be a good thing for Daisy to have something to fight back with, her powers would surely contribute to her confidence.

"I would have paid a fortune just to see Sage's face upon discovering that she wasn't dealing with a useless little human as she thought." Rebekah laughs loudly, relishing in the prospect of getting to torture the vampire for hurting her friend. Although Finn was usually opposed to such activities, Rebekah was certain that he too was looking for some form of retaliation.

"We might have missed that lovely sight, but not to worry, we can definitely try to recreate it later on." Niklaus replies, already aware that the woman was the new inhabitant of their torture room. He and his siblings would have to make sure that his mate wouldn't snoop around too much.

Niklaus wasn't too sure about how his mate would react to discovering that part of the house. Although he was itching to make the woman in the cellar suffer, he would be patient, as soon as Daisy had gone home, he would satisfy his need for revenge. After all, all good things take time, which includes hurting those who harm their loved ones.

"When will we tell her that we're soulmates?" Kol asks, he was very eager to really start his relationship with his.

"Soon, Kol. She's already got quite a bit of new information to digest." Niklaus, promises, slapping Kol on his shoulder in a brotherly gesture.

A/N:

Yes, another update! I was so very invested in writing this and the previous chapter that I couldn't stop myself. Lol, Elijah mentions how it is 4 am and that Daisy should sleep, that was a message to me seeing as it is already 4.30 am here. Whoops.

I am not sure how soon the magic that is siphoned has to be used and if it is possible to 'save it up'. My apologies for any inaccuracies.

I hope you have enjoyed this second part of the whole Sage-siphoner event.

Lots of love,
