HELLO PEOPLE OF FANFICTION! I'M BACK!
It's been a long time since I last wrote for this story and I really apologize for the delay but I had lots of things that needed sorting out and finally I became free to write again!
ANYWAYS, It's party time! I hope you like this chapter.
"Woah.." Zuko said as he and Azula arrived at Toph's house.. Castle.. No, Mansion.. yeah, that's the word.
Azula smirked, "A bit much, don't you think?" Azula pointed out to her brother.
"Well, I know we came from royalty, but this is a whole new level, sis." Zuko said still gaping in awe at Toph's magnificent castle, The Beifong family traditionally lived in Gaoling, a town located within a mountain range in the southern Earth Kingdom, and was known for its immense influence and wealth.
As a financial powerhouse, nearly the entire Earth Kingdom was known to bank with the Beifong family, the whole world of finance is basically in the hands of the Beifong family and its head of the house, Lord Lao Beifong, Toph's daddy. As a result, the clan was one of the country's most important noble families for hundreds of years.
It was a walled country estate with a lovely garden and many ponds. Even though It was night. a crest with a flying boar emblazoned upon it could be seen on the mansion gate, it was magnificent, The party hadn't started yet so it was natural that the gates would be shut and the bodyguards would be stopping anyone from entering the estate, but Azula had been visiting Toph frequently, the guards have become more familiar with her than with Toph.
She came close to them with Zuko in toe, one of the guards initiated the talk with her which intrigued Zuko,
"Hello, Miss Azula. How's life?"
"It's going well, Mike. How's yours?"
"So-So." He said.
"He's lying." his fellow guard, whose name is Rose joined in the conversation.
"Shut up." Mike said back to her.
"It's okay, Rose. I lied too." Azula said and the two guards chuckled, "So, where's Toph?"
"Waiting for you in the guestroom." responded Rose.
"Well, I think we've kept her waiting long enough." Azula said and took her leave, with Zuko following her, he came closer to Rose who was eying him through the entire conversation.
"Hey, Handsome." She said seductively to him, making Zuko feel nervous.
"Uhm.. Hey.." He said, his face as red as a tomato.
"Knock it off, Rose. He's taken." Azula said as she stopped in her tracks when she heard Rose's greeting, disgusted with herself for lying but relieved that she got Zuko out of Rose's death grip.
"Such a shame." The female guard said, never taking her eyes off of Zuko, The youngman just followed Azula with no further talk.
"What was that?" Zuko asked.
"Don't feel special, Zuzu. Rose is a slut, she just loves hooking up with younger boys, younger girls too sometimes.." Azula said, as she remembered the first time she met Rose, how she kept eying her and sending her erotic hidden messages until Toph told her to stop.
Zuko didn't respond afterwards, dropping the entire topic, never been the one to discuss a situation head-on, typical Zuzu.
They arrived at the door, they found it cracked open so they just pushed the door and entered, Azula knew her way around it so she made her way to the guestroom, she told Zuko to wait there and then she made her way to Toph's room, she opened the door without knocking.
"Hey, girl, what's taking you so- Oh My God!" She shouted as soon as she saw a naked Toph in front of her, and turned to look the other way.
"I thought living with a male sibling teaches you to knock before entering a private room." Toph said calmly, never panicking from the awkward situation.
"Put some clothes on, Girl. Damn, I just saw your breasts!" Azula said.
"You like 'em?" Toph asked, making Azula even more embarrassed.
"Do you even know what shame is?"
"There's no shame in seeing your baby girl's boobs. c'mon, Princess, don't be a child." Toph said with a chuckle.
Azula felt a strange urge to turn around and look at Toph's naked body once more, but after some thinking, the urge to run out of the room and away from that awkward situation got the upper hand.
"Just put some clothes on and come out, I'll be waiting with Zuzu in the guestroom."
"You're such a child. anyways, I already put my dress on. now turn around and tell me what you think." Toph said, and Azula sighed in relief, then she turned around, what she saw set her mouth agape. Toph was wearing a Black and White, sleeveless Floral Vintage Dress, with a cleavage, it was so beautiful and it fit her really well, so simple, yet had a certain allure. her hair was in a bun, a half up half down bun, she looked amazing.
"a Dress befitting a host." Azula said.
"Do you think he'll like it?" Toph asked, making Azula frown.
"Could you please stop showing me how much you wanna bang my brother?" Azula asked.
Toph laughed, "Come on, We would look good together, just admit it."
Azula couldn't help but feel amused, but she just couldn't give in, "No." She said, "Now, I'ma go to the guestroom to entertain my brother, you have two minutes to get your ass outta that room." Azula said before heading to the door.
"Yes, M'am." Toph said before turning to apply her makeup.
Azula stopped at the door as she realized something rather intriguing, "Simple dress, Simple makeup. It's like someone told you that my brother likes them simple." Azula pointed out looking back at her.
"Yeah, you did." Toph responded with a smug smile.
"Well played, Bitch." Azula said with a faint smile on her.
"I knew you'd like it." Toph said keeping her smile.
Azula departed to make her way to the guestroom where her brother was staying, she entered to find Zuko sitting on the sofa playing with his phone as usual.
"I swear If I found you playing with your phone during the party, I'll cut it in half with a rusty chainsaw." Azula said with menacing eyes as she took her place beside him on the sofa.
Zuko took the hint and put away the phone rather lazily, "Now what?" He asked.
"Now we get ready to party, it's starting in half an hour, I can't wait to see Aang's performance." Azula said smiling widely as she couldn't contain excitement.
I hope Katara doesn't ruin my night. She thought internally.
"It sure is gonna be one hell of a night, yaay.." Zuko said unenthusiastically, he then stopped to look at the person that came into the room grabbing his attention,
"Well, don't you look lovely tonight?" Zuko pointed out to the person that just entered.
"Thank you." She said and couldn't contain her excitement that she put her hand on her mouth and giggled like a.. she giggled like a.. like a girl.
Wow, I can't believe I'm calling her that. Azula thought.
Toph made her way to the sofa and sat beside Zuko who was now situated between the two girls, Toph kept gawking at Zuko the whole time and Zuko sneaked a couple of glances at her from time to time, he seemed to be really intrigued by her looks, he rarely compliments anyone's looks, the fact that Toph is one of the few people he actually compliments makes her really special to him, or maybe he's just a pervert, either way, Azula groaned loudly the whole time until the party, even during the party she kept groaning as Zuko and Toph kept talking the whole time.
*Two Hours later*
Everyone arrived at the party, including the one Azula craved to see the most, Aang. The party was going really well, all the students were either sitting on tables having a good time with friends or dancing, the music was so loud, it was hard to make out what anybody was saying, but they were having a good time nonetheless, Azula was sitting on a table with Aang and Katara as Toph and Zuko were together somewhere, and Sokka and Suki were dancing, so Azula had to sit with Aang and Katara to watch them having a talk, barely including her in anything,
for Aang, it was like nobody was sitting at that table but Katara, whispering words in her ears and talking to her the whole time, making her laugh from time to time, it agitated Azula to no end, she tried to talk to Aang multiple times in the past hour but to no avail, Aang was too focused on Katara.
Azula was thankful for Sokka and Suki who finally left the dance floor and came to join their friends on the table,
"Has anybody seen Toph?" Suki asked as soon as she took a seat beside Azula.
"Having a good time with Zuko somewhere." Azula said, after gulping a sip of her drink.
Sokka's eyes widened, "No Way! Really?" He asked and Azula nodded, "Way to go, Toph!" Sokka said as he looked at Suki and lifted his hand for a high-five which Suki took gladly.
"Isn't he a little older than her?" Katara asked as she finally decided to notice somebody on the table other than Aang.
"Three years older than her, that's nothing. She's gonna be eighteen in a few months anyways." Azula said, not even wanting to answer Katara, but in the meantime felt obligated to defend her brother and her best friend.
"I suppose.." Katara said, clearly unconvinced but she decided to drop the subject and focus back on Aang, Azula wanted nothing more than to grab a bottle of liquor and bust her head open with it.
The tension lifted as Aang stood up from the table and said, "It's time for my performance. Wish me luck, guys."
"Good luck, Aang." They said as he was leaving,
but before he did, Katara grabbed his arm and said, "You're the best musician in town, don't forget that." She said with a mushy smile that made Azula wanna puke.
"I won't. Thank you, Katara." Aang said, clearly wanting to say more but he composed himself and left for the stage, the interaction sickened Azula so much that she stood up and went to the bar. She ordered a bottle of wine, she felt defeated, she felt useless, Why's he treating me like this? He's the only boy that made me feel butterflies in my stomach and yet he doesn't even see me, What does Aang see in this whore that I don't have? Azula kept musing as she kept drinking her bottle of wine, This was supposed to be a fun night, but Aang and Katara ruined it for her, she thought nothing would be worse than this. (But boy oh boy was she dead wrong)
Aang ascended the stage holding a Banjo for some reason, his band were already on stage waiting for the arrival of their guitarist.. sorry, Banjoist, and apparently, tonight's vocalist, for the first time in the band's history, Aang's gonna be the lead singer.
"Kyoshi High, are you ready?!" Aang shouted in the microphone, and the crowd were even louder than the microphone, Azula knew he was very nervous but he knew how to mask it very well,
"Alright! I've got some bad news and good news, the bad news is, Unfortunately, Our lead singer, Haru couldn't be here tonight, problems in his house and whatnot, we wish you the best, Haru and waiting eagerly for your return, you darn angel voice.." Aang started, making the crowd laugh and cheer,
He continued, "The good news is, our promise still stands and we're still gonna perform here tonight!" Aang said, making the crowd cheer louder, "As you might have heard, I'm gonna be the lead singer for tonight's show and.." Aang couldn't continue his speech as the crowd erupted in cheers as soon as he said that, he chuckled at them and played with his hair, they really flattered him with that last cheer,
"Thank you.. Thank you, I really appreciate it.." He said still chuckling a bit, he continued, "I have a little surprise at the end of the song that I hope could be of interest to any of you, you know, I know my life don't matter whatsoever, but I just wanted to say that to you since you're part of my family.." The crowd cheered again and some fangirls pouted and said, "You're not family, you're my love!" which made Aang chuckle and say, "Sorry, my bad.."
The youngman continued, "I hope you like our first performance with me as a lead singer, and I hope you have a good time.. Are you ready boys?" Aang said, looking at his band who gave him the okay to start.
Aang started singing one of the most beautiful songs that got ruined for Azula as soon as this night was over, not that he was a bad singer, Aang performed it spectacularly, he was an even better vocalist than Haru, but as soon as she connected the dots and what happened at the end of the performance made it the worst experience in Azula's life.

Aang finished the song, Azula finally came out of her daze, apparently the crowd kept singing along the whole time and cheering, but Azula only focused on one person, the angel that was on stage bowing the crowd right now, she wanted to rush to the stage and hug him, hell even kiss him and tell him that she loves him, but her pride was stronger than that so she stayed at the bar, the crowd kept cheering until Aang got the microphone once more and started talking,
"Thank you, Thank you so much.. You made my first performance as a lead vocalist the best ever, I can't express my gratitude enough.. but I can tell you the surprise now.." The crowd erupted in cheers again, Aang laughed and played with his hair again, even from that distance, Azula could tell that he was a nervous wreck.
"Well, Are you ready for the surprise?" The crowd cheered "Yes!"
Aang asked again, "I'm sorry I can't hear you, I SAID ARE YOU READY FOR THE SURPRISE?!" Aang asked loudly and the crowd cheered "Yes!" rather loudly this time.
"Well.. since you do wanna know.. The surprise is that I didn't just pick this song to be performed randomly, Strictly Speaking, I'm kinda not a fan of.. Keith Urban.. so to speak and.. Oh c'mon.." Aang said good-naturedly as some people in the crowd booed, he laughed and apologized to the Keith Urban fans in the crowd,
he continued, "The bottom line is, I picked this song because it perfectly described my feelings towards a certain someone.." Aang said.. looking at the crowd, Azula knew what was coming and her heart was pounding like a machine,
"This song describes my feelings towards.. You, Katara." Aang said pointing at the tanned girl in the crowd,
she had a huge smile on her face and her eyes glistened with tears, Katara could see the surprise on Sokka and Suki's face, even Zuko and Toph reappeared to witness the situation, Aang then looked at Katara and said,
"Come up here." The crowd cheered and some of them gently pushed Katara to the stage as a way of encouragement, Azula was shocked the whole time as every step Katara took towards Aang was like a stomp on her heart, Katara finally arrived beside Aang,
he held her hand and said, "When I first came to this town, I was nothing more than a weird kid eager to make friends, You became my friend and with your guidance, I became someone better than what I could have ever been without you, and for that, my feelings for you developed.." Aang said as he squeezed Katara's hand tighter,
"You're the most wonderful person I've ever met, You're the light of my day, when you put your arms around me, there's nothing in the world I can't do.. And I couldn't help but Love somebody like you." Aang said, touching her face with his thumb.
Katara giggled as tears flowed out of her eyes and then she said, "I love you too."
She then pushed her face to his and the couple kissed. The crowd erupted in cheers yet again, except for one person who said "Ew! Oogies!" Which Azula assumed Sokka.
Azula was very shocked by the moment that she couldn't move during the entire ordeal, she then broke the moment by shouting
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" loudly and for some time.
Everybody stopped what they were doing even the new couple and looked at Azula, she finally stopped screaming and noticed the looks of shock on the faces of everyone else. What was supposed to be a fun night, ended up being the worst night of her life, Not just did she lose the love of her life, she embarrassed herself in front of the entire school, She couldn't handle the pressure..
She felt her vision blacking out, and Fainted.
