It's been a long while since a posted a chapter for this story, I had some other stuff to attend to, but I'm finally free to write again.

It's been more than a week, nine days to be exact since Azula felt the pain of rejection, she's been out of the hospital for six days now, and her life has changed ever since. Or more like, the attitudes of the people around her, Let's start with the closest to her, her brother, Zuzu,

ever since their mother showed up at the hospital, he's been uncharacteristically upbeat, he no longer works for Lady June at her bar, as he decided to work at Uncle Iroh's Cafe, The Jasmine Dragon, Azula knew the story of Iroh and Fung as Zuko finally decided to fill her in on the shenanigans of her uncle, he finally told her the truth about her uncle's arrest, which made her sympathize with the tea loving guy, after all this time, he's still loyal to the family.

Zuko now makes more money than he's used to, and since the Cafe is now the source of income for Zuko and Azula, it gave Zuko some peace of mind, and it made him think about the missing things in his life that he's neglected, like education, Zuko left college to fend for the both of them, but now the Cafe is doing just that, so it might be time to get back to College for him, but Azula knew that he wouldn't think of something like that unless influenced.. Must be Mother's influence, she wouldn't know anyways because she's not contacting her mother like he does.

That's right, Azula never contacted her mother ever since her appearance at the hospital, Zuko asked her multiple times to talk to their mother but she refused, She's still furious with her over the fact that she now has another girl, Why's she so displeased with that? she'd never know.

at some point, she thought she'd forgotten about her mother, but then she realized how wrong she was when her mother reappeared at the hospital, it was a joy to see her at first, but then the memories came crashing back to her mind, and she remembered why she'd convinced herself to forget about her in the first place, anyways, it's nothing to think about at the moment as Azula had other matters to think about,

Today is Monday, two weeks after Azula's fight with Meng, which means Azula's suspension is finally over, she put on her school uniform, she waited for the bus outside for a while until it arrived, and she got in, only to find the people she hasn't seen ever since the incident, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Suki.

Azula's face couldn't have gotten any redder, when she glanced at Aang she found him having the same reaction as hers, as for Katara she didn't look so pleased about seeing her, as for Sokka and Suki, they were just happy to see her again,

"Looks like someone is looking a tad better today." Sokka said as soon as he saw her.

Azula kept silent for a while, still looking at the four of them in embarrassment, not even responding to Sokka's remark, until the bus driver decided to knock her out of her faze,

"Well, don't just stand there, pick a seat." He said with that dull employee look on his face.

Azula then nodded to the driver and looked at her friends, "Good to see you again, guys." She said looking at Aang and made her way past them to take the back seat.

"Wait, won't you sit with us?" Suki called to her.

Azula looked for any excuse to refuse her offer, "Oh.. Uhm.. I can't.. I still haven't.. done my homework, so.. I'm sitting back there to.. do it." She stuttered and Suki looked so suspicious with her but then Suki only nodded to her, after some time Azula knew that Suki wasn't just suspicious, she was sure that Azula's lying, as there was no homework to begin with, so Azula thanked her internally for letting this slide and not pick on her for it, but Azula knew that she was in for a lecture from Suki as soon as they are alone.

The bus finally arrived at the school, and Azula waited for all the student to make their way out of the bus, before getting out of it herself, when she got out, she found none other than her best friends waiting for her.

"Looks like someone is looking a tad better today." Toph said as soon as Azula departed the bus.

Azula had the most disgruntled look on her face, "You and Sokka deserve each other." She said as she made her way past Toph who followed close by with a confused look.

"What?" Toph asked.

"Sokka said the exact same thing when he saw me on the bus.. That reminds me, I'm not taking the bus again, you'll come pick me up every morning, this isn't a request, it's an order." Azula said with a sense of finality to her voice.

"Okay, but what for?" Toph only asked.

"Don't play dumb with me, You know why."

"Oh.." Toph realized.

The two of them finally arrived at the class, they entered to find their friends seated at their usual seats, with the exception of Aang and Katara who are now sitting next to each other, Can this relationship get any more gross? Azula thought as she entered the classroom, she took a seat at the back of the class to avoid any interaction with any student, who would definitely ask her for her well-being, a question she never wants to answer to anyone ever.

"Hey, Azula." a voice called from beside her, Azula turned to her right to find that she sat next to the person she hates the most, even more than Katara.

"Hello, Meng." Azula responded as she turned her face to look ahead instead of at Meng.

"I haven't seen you in a while, I wonder why." Meng teased with that smug voice of hers.

Azula decided to answer with the same manner, "I broke someone's nose so Principle Long Feng suspended me." Azula said not even looking at her.

"Oh.. So violent." Meng said as she chuckled, not even bothered by Azula's remark, or maybe she's pretending to be that way, after all she's the leading actress in the school theater.

Azula decided to make a remark about that matter, "So, I heard you've been out of theater for the past two weeks, Is it because someone broke your nose and the director doesn't have a role for people with broken noses?" Azula said looking at her this time, only to find Meng's facade finally breaking and she actually flashed a hurt expression on her face, Azula almost made the girl cry, which made her feel.. Fantastic.

Meng composed herself and responded to Azula, "You're so mean, Azula.. No wonder Aang never thought of you the way you wanted him to."

That Does It! Azula thought to herself and almost charged at Meng, if it wasn't for someone who sat next to her held her back, Azula knew it was Toph without even looking, after all nobody has a grip THAT firm but her.

Azula looked at Toph who kept shook her head in her direction and told her, "Don't give her what she wants."

Azula turned her head to find that Toph's right, Meng was smirking at her as if she was anticipating that punch, she wanted to get punched again, why does this girl wanna hurt her that much? she'd never know, Azula then decided not to give her the attention she craved and the class passed without a single word between them,

Azula then attended a couple more classes and then the period she always thought to be the best, but not anymore, since she's meeting her friends at, the girl went to the break room and took her lunch, she found her friends sitting at their usual table at the far side of the room, with Aang and Katara now sitting next to each other, and Sokka looking like he wants to separate them, you're not alone Sokka. Azula thought as she made her way to them.

"Hey, Guys." She only said and took a seat beside Toph.

Aang and Katara who had been talking before she arrived went silent, but apparently for different reasons, Aang looked like he was so embarrassed with that light blush on his cheeks, but Katara looked like she wanted to grab something and hit Azula with it, which Azula wanted to urge her to do since she herself wants to grab her hair and take it off lock by lock.

"Hey, Azula. How's it going?" Sokka decided to respond to Azula since nobody else responded.

"I'm doing fine. How are you?" Azula said as she focused on her lunch.

"I'm great. They say there are scouts from The Gaoling Badgermoles football team are coming to recruit some talents in the school, they are coming to our school to watch our match next Friday, I can't wait to show them how good I am!" Sokka said with a boost of confidence.

Azula thought this was a nice surprise, something to take her mind off the embarrassing situation,

"Really? That's good, Sokka. I'm sure you'll do great." Azula said.

Toph only snorted, "As if The Gaoling Badgermoles are this dumb. they are one of the best teams in all of the earth kingdom, and they have one of the best QBs in the world, Even if they chose you, you'll be sitting on the bench." Toph said.

"Toph, be nice." Suki said.

"blegh! You and your boyfriend." Toph said, looking disgusted.

"You got something to say, Zuko girl?" Sokka only responded with a smirk, and Toph's cheeks couldn't get any redder.

"Sokka, I'm this close to puking my lunch. Please, don't." Azula said looking at him with a disgusted expression.

Sokka only held his hand in surrender and kept on eating his lunch in silence, everybody went silent for the time being which gave Azula the time to inspect Aang, as much as she wanted to, she just couldn't take her eyes off of him, He still looked like the most handsome man in her eyes, even though he hasn't spoken a word to her ever since the incident, and she hated that so much, she missed him so much.

Unbeknown to her, Katara noticed every glance Azula had at Aang, and she was sitting there fuming in silence until she decided to make it interesting,

"Hey, Aang.. Guess whose birthday is in two weeks?" She asked. Aang only smiled in acknowledgement, how would he forget that date? It's the date of birth of the most important person in his life.

"The birthday of the person I love the most in the whole world." Aang said holding Katara's hand without a care in the world.

At first, Katara wanted to tease Azula, but looking at Aang's face and the happiness on his face as he said that it's Katara's birthday made Katara's heart melt, it made her care for the world around them even less than he does, her love for him was unconditional, even if Aang picked Azula over her, she wouldn't be able to love someone but him, which made her look back at him with the same warm eyes, they eyed each other's lips, each one of them wanting it more than the other.

Until Azula had had enough, she stood up and said, "I'm going to class." and without any further explanation, she stood up and went away with the eyes of all the people in attendance on her.

"Wait.. Azula!" Toph called after her and then she stood up and decided followed her but not without looking at the couple and saying,

"You two are disgusting."

Aang then had a confused look on his face, but then he flashed a hurt expression.

"Did you do this just to tease her?" Aang asked Katara beside him.

"What?" Katara only said, feeling caught, at first she did want to tease Azula with the display, but then she really got into it that she almost forgot her original motive.

The warm look on Aang's face turned to that of hurt, which made Katara fare the same, "I can't believe you." Aang only said, as he stood up too.

"I didn't mean.. Aang, Please.." Katara said to him as he held on to his hands, but then Aang took his hand away from hers and just left, Katara then took after him with teary eyes, trying to make him forgive her. All the while Sokka and Suki sitting there in silence feeling helpless, their friendship was getting torn apart, Sokka and Suki looked at each other mirroring each other's desperate expression.

"We have to do something about it, Suki." Sokka said.

Suki only nodded, "We'll think of something." Suki only said, hoping for the best.. But also preparing for the worst.
