The next day Chris walks into command, and the team is already there working
"Hey guys" she says
"You got the girl talking last night?" Luca asks "that's great"
"Yea" she says with a smirk "Isla said the place she was held was 5 minutes away from the gas station and in an elderly community"
"What made her talk?" Deacon asks
"She needed time" Chris says, lying "I think she just needed another women to talk to"
"Why didn't you talk to her yesterday?" Deacon asks, eyes narrowing
"Didn't occur to me" Chris replies sharply "Isla trusts us now, that's what counts"
"Well, good work Chris" Hondo says, sensing tension
"She trusts you Chris" Deacon argues "if we know the approach you used then she can open up more"
"It's complicated" Chris says
"Then explain it" Deacon says
"You wouldn't understand" Chris states, her phone rings, so she walks away
"Deac" Hondo says "what happened there?"
"She's just upset from yesterday" Deacon says "I expressed my views and she doesn't agree"
"Well you two better figure it out" Hondo says "talk to her Deac, you two are good at understanding"
"You're right, I'll go find her" Deacon says, leaving. He finds her by the motor pool still on the phone. Debating to himself, he decides to get closer
"Sarzo" she says "it's him! I know it is!"
"Chrissy, I'm sure you are" he says on the other end "but what can you do?"
"Nothing!" She says frustrated "it's not like the charge would stick anyways. If only I did something earlier. Why didn't I?"
"Don't be so hard on yourself" Sarzo says "you did what most people would do"
"You're only saying that because you know you should" she shoots back, she eyes Deacon "lo siento tío, I have to go"
"Está bien" he says "Chris, don't let it eat at you. I mean that chiquita"
"I won't" she says, ending the call. Chris looks at Deacon "how much did you hear?"
"Most of it" he says
"Don't tell anyone what you heard" She says
"What happened?" Deacon asks
"You won't understand" Chris says
"Help me too" he says
"I don't want to" she says "look, we don't see eye to eye, that's fine. But I won't ever understand your view, so you don't have to understand mine"
"If that's what you want to do, then ok" Deacon says "but we have a case and need to be a team"
"Then let's get working" she says, they go to command. When they get there the group starts researching places and end up finding a possible location. A small house in a elderly community and is exactly 5 minutes away from the gas station
"Hicks says we are good to go" Hondo says and they head into Black Betty. Once they arrive they search the whole place and find that no one is home
"Start searching for any clues" Hondo says and they spread out. Chris is in the basement with Luca, poking around
"Are you good Chris? You seem pretty tense today" Luca asks
"It's nothing" she says
"Come on" Luca replies "you think I believe that?"
"It's nothing" she repeats "nothing you can do anyway"
"Maybe I can" Luca says
"No you can't" Chris says then her eyes land on something. She goes to a table and sees naked pictures of girls "this is where Liv and Isla were" Luca comes over
"That means they moved" he thinks out loud "this is disgusting, what these guys do to women" Chris nods, eyeing the wall, she sees a bunch of photos of naked girls
"They weren't the only one who lived here" Chris says then her eyes land on a photo. She can tell who it is immediately, it's her. She reads Girl 1 on the picture. Tears well into her eyes as she tries to blink them away.
"What's wrong Chris?" Luca asks seeing his friend fighting back tears
"Just a long day" Chris says, thankful he won't recognize her. The team is allowed to go back to HQ where they are back at square one
"That was a bust" Hondo says "now what"
"I think I know where they are" Chris says "I have to go, be right back"
"Wait" Deacon says "what"
"Alonso" Hicks says coming over "come here for a second" Chris jogs over
"Sir, I think I know where" Chris says
"Got it" he answers "be back in an hour" Chris nods and walks away
"Commander" Hondo says "what was that?"
"Alonso was working on the case last night and has some sources" Hicks says "but apparently they won't talk here, so she is going to them"
"Should we not be concerned" Hondo asks
"Nope"
Chris goes to her Uncle's house and walks down the road before turning into the woods. She goes to a little shack in the woods and needs to pause
"Just open the door" she tells herself, entering. Inside is a bed with blood and a couple photos on the wall. Chris looks at the photo and sees prices, if you wanted her whole body you had to pay 350 and just a part of her was 175.
"I thought I recognized you" a voice says behind her
"What do you want?" She asks turning around
"What do you think?" He asks, pulling out a needle, he charges at Chris and she blocks
"You want me to arrest you then" she says, the two start to engage in a fight. Chris has an edge when she feels the needle enter her leg, she falls to the ground.
"I could tell you recognized me, I was hoping to remind you of our time together, to keep you quiet" he snarls moving in. Unable to move, Chris is helpless. She remembers what happens next, even if she doesn't want to.
