When the team enters to start their shift, they find Chris still working from last night.
"You look terrible" Tan says "how long have you been here?"
"Never left" she says, Chris looks better than yesterday, but her scars still haven't healed
"Why not?" Deacon asks, Chris won't say it, but it was the first time she didn't feel safe
"I got caught up in the case, time flew by" she answers "I needed something to do after yesterday"
"About that, what happened?" Luca asks
"Alright guys" Hicks says entering "Chris was able to find a salon that could have Liv and others, we have a warrant to search. There is a good chance more suspects and hostages are there"
"Got it" Hondo says "let's roll" the team goes to gear up in the locker room
"Chris what happened yesterday?" Luca asks again
"I don't want to talk about it" Chris says firmly
"Ok then, what did you after shift if you never left?" Street asks
"I worked on the case" She recounts "fell asleep and now I'm here"
"How are you not tired?" Hondo asks
"Not a clue" she says
In Black Betty, Chris phone rings. She looks at the number and hangs up
"Who was that?" Hondo asks
"Sarzo" Chris says, she silences it and puts it in her pocket. At the place they enter, two suspects see them and run. They chase them as the suspects split
"Deacon, Chris, get the one on the right" Hondo says "the rest of you, follow me" Chris and Deacon run after the suspect as he enters a secret room. There is another guy on top of a young girl.
"Hands up!" Deacon shouts tackling the first suspect. Chris goes to the one on top of the girl, running, she knocks the guy off her
"I know you" the man says, charging at her with a knife "where have I seen you?"
"Get out of here" Chris says to the girl, she nods and runs. Chris is able to deflect the knife and elbow the guy in the face. She shoves him to the ground, aiming her gun at his head
"I definitely know you" he says, Chris looks at him, and she knows he is right "were you 14?"
"What does he mean?" Deacon asks
"No idea" she lies, then Hondo enters
"You two good?"
"All good here" Deacon says, he handcuffs the suspect and look over at Chris, who is still has her gun aimed at her suspect "you can relax Chris"
"Chris?" The suspect says "I remember you now" Chris stares at him
"Chris" Hondo says again "we got it" she nods, stepping away. The team is able to collect evidence on the trafficking ring, but nothing for where Liv might be. Outside the salon her phone rings again
"What the hell?" She says, it's Sarzo again
"Chris just answer it" Luca says, seeing the number, she shakes her head
"He can wait" she answers
"What does he want?" Street asks
"I don't know, I don't want to know"
"What if it's something important?" Deacon says
"I'm not a child you need to lecture Deacon" Chris states, more to herself than Deacon
"That wasn't what I meant" he replies
"Then what did you mean?" She shoots back
"Just drop it" Deacon says, for the rest of day they work with the evidence from the salon. Chris puts her phone in her locker so it doesn't bother her. Even with few calls, the team does not make any progress. At the end of shift, they are back in the locker room and Chris' phone has a voice message
"Christina Jade Alonso" Sarzo says on the phone "I've been calling you all day. Thomas, Helena, and I have been worried since you didn't show up, so for God sakes answer your damn phone!" Chris reluctantly dials Sarzo
"Sarzo" Chris says "What's wrong?"
"I should be asking you that!" Sarzo says "you said you would come over last night. You didn't, and now you are ignoring us. What happened last night?"
"Tío!" Chris says sharply "I can't talk about that here" she leaves the room. A second later, the team hears her yelling angrily
"Man, I don't think I've heard Sarzo so angry" Street says "what happened yesterday?"
"Not sure, she's avoiding it" Luca says "ever since Chris went to that bar, she's been off"
"Nothing happened though right?" Deacon asks "she wasn't drinking"
"No the bar tender confirmed that" Luca says "what did you say to her?"
"I told her I don't get how Isla could just do nothing while her friend is stuck there" Deacon recites
"You seriously said that to her" Street says "now this is making sense"
"What is that supposed to mean?" Deacon asks
"You are the reason she's like this" he says sharply "she's a women, did you not think she would be offended?!"
"Are you off your chair Street?" Deacon asks, getting heated
"You basically insulted women" Street fires back "which if I last checked, Chris is a women"
"Guy settle down, that's probably part of it, but not all of it" Hondo reasons
"Why won't she just tell us?" Tan asks "she knows we aren't going to judge, right?"
"I think that's the problem" Luca says, a few more minutes go by before Chris walks back in
"Are you good" Luca asks
"I'm fine" she says "long shift"
"It's over now" Hondo says "you going to Sarzo's?"
"I don't know" Chris says "probably not"
"Chris what is going on?" Luca asks "what aren't you telling us?"
"Nothing, I want you all to drop it" she says sharply
"Why did that suspect say he knows you?" Deacon asks
"No idea" she says "I don't know him, so it's probably him trying to cause tension"
"We can't just drop it" Luca argues
"You can and you will" Chris states walking out
