*Hello guest reviewer, yeah you the one who said that the breeding stock idea made no sense and that Naruto accepted Amaya too fast. First, I didn't actually come up with the breeding stock idea, a friend gave it to me and he's a really good author so I took it and it makes sense to me.

Amaya has the ability to completely control the shadows, something that her clansmen can only do partially with hand seals. The elders saw this and thought, 'Wow, if she has children then there's a chance she can pass that on and our clan can gain power'. That's how I did that part, now moving onto the second bit.

I will admit that it was very fast paced at that point and that it all happened really fast but when I was writing the scene my thoughts were that Naruto had pretty much no one for the previous 8 years of his life and he's going to accept anything that he can that isn't fake.

Remember that Kurama is a living lie detector so he knew she wasn't lying to him. I hope I responded well enough to fill you in and I want to say that if you see anything else feel free to comment on it.

To the story*

The four Kiri nin walked through the misty roads until the adults stopped in front of a two story home. "This is it." Mei said, moving towards the door. Zabuza followed behind her and then the two genin.

After entering through the door, they saw stairs directly in front and an opening to their sides. "To the right is the living room, to your left is the kitchen and down that hall is the bathroom." Mei explained before bringing them up the stairs.

At the top of the stairs, there was a wall directly in front with a door and a hallway horizontal to them. "In front of us is our room, there's two more rooms on that wall, two on each side. The one to our right is the library and left is the bathroom."

She stepped into the hallway and turned around pointing at the wall nearest to the steps. "There's rooms to the left and to the right, they're pretty much identical so you two can pick. If you find any clothing in there just know it's probably from when a previous swordsman stayed over." With that, the adults left the kids and went downstairs.

"You got a preference?" Naruto asked, already moving towards the left room. "Not really," The girl answered, a lazy face on. "I'll take the left one then." Naruto said before moving to said room's door. Once turning the knob and looking in, a sigh left his mouth.

The room looked normal, it was rectangle shaped and all the furniture looked clean. In the back right of the room was a queen sized bed and in front of it was a dresser with a tv. To the left back of the room was a closet and the left front had a desk with a chair.

"This place is great." He said to himself, jumping onto the bed. He stayed on the bed for a while until he felt something move underneath the cover. Jumping up, he yanked the cover to the side, exposing a lizard. The lizard was a solid green.

It was a gecko if Naruto remembered correctly and it was huge. The thing was easily the size of Naruto's palm. A smirk came onto his face as he scooped the reptile up. "I don't know if you can understand me, little buddy but I want you to jump out of my hands when I show Amaya-chan." Naruto whispered while petting it with his finger.

Much to his surprise, it didn't bite him. He cupped his other hand over the lizard and walked to the other room. Mei walked up the stairs and saw him cupping his hands. "Did you catch Midori?" The woman asked.

"The lizard? Yeah, I found him in my bed. I wanna go scare Amaya-chan with him." Mei smirked at him. "You're lucky he's harmless. Go ahead, I wanna watch." The redhead male walked to the opposite door with Mei behind him.

"Hey Amaya-chan, come look at what I found." He shouted through the door. As a side thought, Mei was glad he knew not to burst into a girl's room. After a few moments, the door opened and Naruto went stupid.

Amaya stood there in a loose t-shirt with a pocky hanging out her mouth. "What is it? You catch a lizard or something?" She asked, before noticing the small blood drip. "Yeah, I found a lizard." Naruto said, opening his hand and allowing Midori to jump out.

The lizard flew into Amaya's hair before sitting down. Said girl didn't even react to it and just hit Naruto in the side of the head. "Stop being a pervert." She scolded as Naruto took notice of the orange lizard on her shoulder.

"Let me guess, that's Orenji." The boy said, looking at his fellow redhead. Said redhead nodded, "Yep, those two just stick around here so we named em. Now, dinner is ready if the two of you wanna come down." The woman headed for the steps.

"Oh and Naruto-chan, take off your armor and shoes in my house or I'll burn ya." Naruto gulped at the warning and quickly ran to his room. "That's rude. Showing your lizard before running away. I'm pretty sure that's a crime somewhere." Amaya said, earning noises from the two geckos.

Shoving away her pervy thoughts, she thanked the lizards and headed downstairs.

*After dinner, Naruto's room*

Naruto sat in front of Amaya with both of his swords in his lap. He placed his hand on her forehead and concentrated. After a few moments, he felt the slight waver in their chakra meaning they were pulled into Ashina's realm.

Naruto was the first to open his eyes and stand. They were in the throne room like normal. After helping Amaya up, he found Ashina. "Hey Ashina-jiji, this is Amaya-chan." Naruto said, introducing the girl.

The old man walked over and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you. So, why did you bring her in here?" He asked. "Well our new sensei is forcing us to learn kenjutsu and I gave her the fire sword because I don't trust another sword. I wanted to know if there's a seal on the sword that only lets Uzumaki's use. I also wanted to ask you if I could teach her the Nin-Ken-Uzu style."

Ashina chuckled at the boy and shook his head. "No, there's nothing like that on them and yes, I give you permission to teach her. You know it was actually quite common for the heirs and heiresses to give one sword to someone they were close with. Whenever I was still alive, I gave the water sword to my little brother."

Naruto smiled. "Thanks Ashina-jiji, I'm gonna start showing her the basics." The old man nodded and went back to his throne. "Remember not to teach her the Funsha. She has to be able to hold me off to earn that."

Naruto nodded and threw the fire sword at Amaya. "Let's get started then."

*Next morning*

The group walked into Yagura's office and stood in front of his desk. "We're here, Yagura." Zabuza said, irritation in his voice. "What's with the sour mood? The kids see your face?" The lack of response answered the Mizukage's question.

"It's surprising isn't it? I'm sure you thought he had a scar or something." The Mizukage said, obviously amused. "Just give us a mission before I heal Kubikiribocho." Zabuza said, gripping the sword on his back.

Yagura smirked at him. "Fine fine, 5 cattle have escaped from the farm north of the village. I need you to get them back before they walk into a ravine. Mei-chan, you're needed at the ANBU headquarters."

The redhead groaned and pouted. "I can't watch them struggle with the D-rank first?" Her question was answered with a look from her Kage. "Zabuza-kun, make sure to remember every detail for me." The woman said, hopping up and kissing the man's forehead.

Ignoring the man's growl, she turned to the kids. "See ya kiddies." After the woman was gone, Zabuza led the genin out. "This is going to be easy." Naruto said, getting a nod from Amaya. "What makes you two so confident?" Their sensei asked.

"The Kagemane no jutsu, the signature move of my clan, was created for catching deer so catching a cow won't be that difficult." The ravenette said. "It might not be that difficult to catch but finding them is a different story."

Amaya raised her hand and pointed a thumb at Naruto. "Sensor." Zabuza almost shouted in frustration. It was their first D-rank mission, they were supposed to suffer. After they walked down the street for a little longer, Naruto spoke.

"Hey Zabuza-sensei, why do we not have a team number?" The masked sensei looked down at the boy before looking back forward. "In Kiri, we don't use team numbers because in the last war, every new numbered genin team was killed. We don't use those numbers to honor them."

The genin understood that Zabuza was obviously hurt from it and didn't ask anymore. A little later, they exited the village and Zabuza began speaking again. "Before I start teaching you two, I should probably know everything about you such as affinities, Kekkei Genkai, and other things."

Naruto started first, "I've got a main affinity for Suiton and a smaller one for Katon. You already know about my Kenjutsu and smoke ability so the only other thing is my stealth. Whenever I was in Konoha, I could constantly outrun and hide from ANBU in a bright orange jumpsuit.

I also constantly broke into stores and stole equipment. Most of the stores I broke into had retired jounin asleep upstairs." Zabuza seemed pleased with the boy's stealth if his little facial movement meant anything.

Amaya began talking, "My main is Katon and secondary for Doton. My Kekkei Genkai is a mutated version of my clan's shadow control, they called it complete shadow control. I can manipulate shadows without hand seals and make them do anything I want to. I could make them solidify into weapons, stop someone with them, and travel through them."

Zabuza smirked. "So how does this shadow travel work?" He asked. "Well, I sink into the shadows and get into a kind of hallway with openings. The openings are kind of windows out of the shadows around me. I can go into any of the openings and rise out of the shadows they belong to."

Her sensei seemed intrigued, very very intrigued. "Is there a set distance?" The girl nodded. "15 meters in every direction. From what I can tell, it's slowly growing with my chakra pool. Oh, I also did multiple of those robberies with Naruto-kun."

Zabuza cackled and rubbed his hands together. "What are you? An evil villain?" Naruto asked, getting a slap to the back of the head from his eyebrow less sensei. "Shut up. I'm just glad that my genin aren't weak. Do you two know any jutsu other than your Kekkei Genkai?"

"Excluding the jutsu with my swords. I know two non-elemental jutsu, 3 Katon jutsu, and 3 Suiton." Naruto said, getting a look from his sensei. "Shouldn't you know three non-elemental? Can you not use one of the three academy jutsu?"

Naruto sighed. "My chakra pools are too big for the normal bunshin jutsu. It's like trying to get a drop of water from a lake." The boy said, kicking a rock on the road while looking down. "Ah that's alright." The man slapped the genin's shoulder. "You still know 6 elemental jutsu which is a hell of a lot better than none. What about you, shadow girl?"

The Nara grunted at the name before speaking. "The three academy jutsu, three Katon, and three Doton." By the end of it, Zabuza had stars in his eyes. He could already imagine the both of them in the field, it would be a slaughter.

"Hey sensor boy, can you sense the cattle?" Naruto turned on his sensory ability and increased his field. "Yeah, there's 5 of them to our 3 o'clock. About 20 meters away." Zabuza nodded. "I'll leave it to you two. I'll be watching."

Much to Zabuza's disappointment, nothing happened and the cattle were returned within a few minutes. Once they were in the newly made pin, the farmer thanked them with some fresh fruit.

Team Zabuza stood in front of Yagura eating mangoes. Naruto offered one to the Kage who took it. That was the scene that Mei walked into, all four of them casually eating mangoes while not speaking a word.

"You people are weird." The redhead woman said, getting completely ignored. After everyone finished eating, Zabuza gave the report. "The cattle are successfully back in the pin." Yagura nodded and reached into his desk.

He pulled out a check and wrote on it. "You know what to do with it. Remember to take the kids to the mission depot for their next mission and report." The Mizukage said, getting a nod from Zabuza who took it.

"Hey Mizukage-sama, could I ask you some questions?" Naruto asked. "Yeah sure, just don't take much time or your sensei will get impatient." Yagura said, ignoring the masked man. "How do you keep the other nations thinking Kiri is still in civil war and stuff?"

Yagura gave a proud smirk at the question. "I converted an entire unit of medical ninjas into genjutsu specialists who put a genjutsu on anyone who shows any signs of being a spy. Also, many of the spies from the other villages are actually mine and feed false information.

Add in a random distress call every few weeks from the so-called rebellion asking for help and no one suspects a thing." Naruto nodded and bowed. "Thanks, Mizukage-sama."

Just as they were beginning to leave, Yagura spoke again.

"Oh, the other swordsmen are at your training field if you want to introduce your new genin." The two jounin grew grins. "Oh this'll be fun. It's time for you kiddies to learn about our fellow swordsmen." Zabuza said, leading them all out.

When they reached the street, Naruto asked a question. "Can we learn about them before we get there?" Zabuza and Mei looked at each other and nodded. "Yeah sure, what do you want to learn?" Mei asked.

"Their names and descriptions. What they wield would also be nice." Amaya said. Mei shrugged and began. "First one to come to mind is Jinin, he's a short man with brown hair and a beard. You'll notice him immediately since he keeps his headband like a full head wrap. He wields the Kabutowari."

Zabuza spoke next. "There's Raiga, he's an ugly fuck with really thick eyebrows. He wields the Kiba." Naruto let out a chuckle at the insult. "Next up is Fishy-kun or Kisame, he's a blue skinned guy who looks like a shark. He wields Samehada." Mei said.

"After that there's Jinpachi and Kushimaru. Jinpachi is a pirate wannabe with an eye patch and braided beard. He has Shibuki. Kushimaru is a tall thin guy who always wears his ANBU mask. He wields Nuibari." Zabuza finished.

"Word of advice, they're all crazy in their own ways so just don't provoke em until you know you can beat em." Mei said, earning two nods. The rest of their trip was silent until they heard multiple explosions and clangs of metal.

Whenever they got into the opening, the mist cleared away showing 3 figures watching as 2 fought. The genin identified the two fighting as Kushimaru and Jinpachi. "Oh look who decided to show up. With some food as well." The fish man said, leaning on his sword.

"That isn't any way to talk to my nephew and his girlfriend, Fishy-kun." Mei said, earning three glares on her although only one was an adult. "Yeah yeah, so why'd you bring them here? Wanna show them what real swordsmen fight like?" Kisame asked.

Zabuza flipped him off which gained a grin. "No, it's tradition for a swordsman to show his apprentices to his fellow swordsmen. I also want to teach them the Kirigakure no jutsu and Sairento Kiringu."

The other swordsmen just nodded. It seemed Kushimaru and Jinpachi had stopped fighting as they were staring at the two. "Let's test reflexes." Kushimaru said, shooting forwards to Naruto. The redhead didn't even flinch as the thin sword pierced through his left lung.

"You owe me 12 ryo, Amaya-chan." The boy said, tilting his head. Kushimaru and the other swordsmen, besides the two who knew Naruto, looked with amused expressions. "If my aim is still good then you have a few seconds until you can't breathe." The lanky man said.

"That would be true if you actually hit me." Naruto gripped the blade just outside of his chest and pushed back. Kushiramu went back with his sword and everyone saw the smoky hole in Naruto's chest with a lack of blood.

The hole sealed back up and a laugh left Kushimaru. It was an eerie and shrill laugh, it sounded like a ghost who was being tortured. "So you're stab proof? That's convenient, how about I teach the brat Sairento Kiringu the fun way?" The man asked the two jounin behind him.

"No thanks, I don't want him full of holes." Mei said, resting her arm on Naruto's head. "Let's begin then."

*A week later, Konoha, Ichiraku's, morning time*

The recently graduated class sat at Ichiraku's, talking about different things. Most of it was about the two missing people from their party. "I don't know why they'd want to run off like that. What's so wrong with Konoha?" Chouji asked, barely touching his ramen.

"The better question is why did Naruto kill the Nara elders?" Sakura said. "Daddy said that the Nara elders were going to force Amaya-chan into being a breeding stock. He wouldn't tell me why though." Ino said, earning looks from all of them.

"That makes sense." Kiba said. "I wouldn't want to be made into a breeding stock either. I don't think I would kill those that forced me into it though." The other genin stared at him incredulously.

"Naruto-kun has always been very protective over those he cares about." Ayame said, placing some ramen down. "How would you know? He just ate here." Kiba said. The ramen girl chuckled at him.

"No, he didn't just eat here. He also slept here multiple nights whenever his apartment was broken into or whenever the orphanage kicked him out. Tou-san and I practically raised him. Whenever we were robbed a few months back, the money was returned to us with a beaten man. There was no note or anything pointing to him but I knew it was him."

The genin were shocked at the new information. "So you're telling me, that the happy go lucky Uzumaki Naruto slept in a ramen stall?" Ino asked. "And he was kicked out of the orphanage?" Sakura asked.

Ayame simply nodded. "He was kicked out of the orphanage when he was five or six, I can't remember really, and stayed on the streets for a while before Hokage-sama gave him an apartment."

Kiba huffed, "Shows how much we knew about him." His fellow genin nodded before they all returned to their meals. After they left, Ayame cleaned up the bowls and Teuchi walked in.

"I know that talk of Naruto-kun got you upset but just remember that he's not alone out there." The old man said, hugging his daughter.

*Kiri, Mei's house*

Naruto and Amaya were woken up by a giant clang in the kitchen. Both rushed down to see what the commotion was only to see Zabuza and Mei placing beach gear onto the kitchen table. "Ohayo kids, we're going to the beach today!" Mei cheered.
