Team Zabuza with the addition of Mei stood on the beach. The entire place was packed since it was the one day of the year that the mist lifted up. Surprisingly, Zabuza still had his mask on with his black swim trunks.
Mei was wearing a normal dark blue two piece swimsuit while Amaya was wearing a black one piece, much to Naruto's demise. Speaking of the redhead, he was wearing slate gray swimming trunks and nothing else.
"You two go have fun. Don't drown." Mei said, throwing down her towel and laying on it. Zabuza put down an umbrella and laid on his towel beside her. "Why do I have a feeling that one of them is going to mess up our relaxation?" The man asked.
"Because that's what they're best at. They're still children after all." The woman responded. With said children, they were both just swimming in the ocean. They were a few meters from shore and were surrounded by many different people.
"Do you think the underwater caves are real?" Naruto asked the girl floated beside him. "Probably, but there's only one way to find out." She dove underwater. Naruto quickly followed her and they swam down a good distance.
Once they were just above the sea floor, they stopped and looked around. Naruto was the first to notice something. After alerting Amaya to what seemed like a cave entrance, they swam towards it.
Whenever they went inside, they saw that it was a giant cave. Noticing an air bubble, Naruto swam up for air. The Uzumaki took a breath before noticing there was a ledge near the water he was in.
It seemed like there was an entire cave system. Amaya came out of the water right when he got onto the ledge. "What are you doing?" She asked, seeing the boy standing above her. "I'm exploring, duh."
Amaya jumped on the ledge and grabbed his ear. "We don't want to get stuck down here. It's best if we just leave." Naruto whined at her grip. "But look, there's a tunnel that I wanna go down."
The Nara's eyes followed Naruto's finger to a tunnel that seemed short. "Fine, but we're going back right after." She began pulling him by the ear to the tunnel. After Naruto's whining finally got to her, she let go of his ear.
So now a cursing Naruto was walking down the tunnel while holding his ear. The light in the tunnel cut out so Amaya used a low level Katon jutsu to light her finger like a lighter. Using the small bit of light, they found a bigger room type thing with two scrolls in the center on a circle stone platform.
The scrolls were enormous, at least the size of the Scroll of Seals. The two scrolls were different in design with the left one being white with blue rings and the right was white with brown stripes.
Before Amaya could tell Naruto to stay there, the boy walked forward and stepped down to the floor.
The ravenette cursed at him and stepped down there as well. As the two moved towards the center, they both felt something squishy move against their legs. Amaya moved the light down, showing multiple octopi.
Some were white with blue circles while others were white with brown stripes. They were tiny, some of them not even the size of their toes. They both jumped out of the octopi frenzy and onto the platform they were just on.
They took a few minutes to catch their breath and after Naruto caught his, he chuckled. "That was freaky eh Amaya-chan?" He turned his head to her and saw that she was laying flat on her back and not moving.
The boy scurried over and saw that her eyes were moving around a lot. "She's paralyzed." Kyuubi said. "Those octopi were venomous and I just got done purging it from your body." Naruto started to panic and looked at her legs.
He saw multiple different marks on them and moved back up to her face. "What do I do?!" Naruto shouted out loud. "You have to purge the venom from her system with my chakra but the seal is too restraining for that. We don't have the key for it so there's nothing we can do." Naruto screamed at that.
"Give me as much chakra as you can without the seal cancelling it." Naruto said, his voice in an order. The demonic fox shrugged and forced his chakra through the seal and into the boy. The redhead was covered in a cloak and placed his hands on Amaya's chest.
While beginning compressions, he flooded her system with a mix of his and Kyuubi's chakra. After a few moments, he stopped compressions and stuck his ear to her chest. A sigh of relief left him as he heard her lungs begin to work on their own.
Inside his seal, Kyuubi was shocked and amazed. "Good job, I didn't think you could do it." The ancient being said. A small dattebayo left Naruto as he leveled his breathing. He spouted out a Mizu bunshin.
"Grab the scrolls, I'm not leaving here empty handed." The water clone launched over to the platform and grabbed both scrolls under his arms before jumping back. The clone turned to a puddle and Naruto placed his hands on the scrolls.
After silently thanking himself for not taking his backpack, he made the scrolls smoke and put them in his front and back. "You better wait for her body to stabilize before trying anything." Kyuubi said.
"I know. Thanks Furball." The demon grunted at him as he leaned against the cave wall. He would stay on that wall for about 30 minutes while Amaya recovered. "She should be stable enough now. Try and wake her, her shadow travel is the only way you two are getting out of here." The Kyuubi said.
Naruto crawled over to the girl and shook her. It took a few moments but she woke up. A groan left her throat as she sat up. "Take it easy. You were paralyzed for a few minutes." The girl glared at him.
"This is your fault you idiot." The redhead dropped his head. A sigh came from the Nara, "You know I can't stay mad at you. I guess it's my fault too." Naruto's head popped back up and he hugged the girl.
She returned it and they held it for a bit. "The only way we're getting out of here is your shadow travel. There's no way in hell I'm letting you swim." Naruto said, earning a nod from the girl. Their shadow surrounded them and they sunk into it.
Naruto opened his eyes to the hallway just like Amaya described. The only bad thing was there were few openings. "I guess we were kind of deep underwater." The ravenette joked. A redhead's glare shut her up.
"Go find one that's on land or at least close to it." Amaya said, waving him off. The boy walked down the hallway, looking in each opening. The one at the very end was the shadow of a beach umbrella stuck right near the water.
"Perfect, can you walk Amaya-chan?" He asked while turning. The kunoichi stood and stumbled over to him. "Yeah, just support me." The Uzumaki followed her request and wrapped his arm around her back, supporting her.
They walked into the opening and rose out of the shadow on the beach. It seemed that they were in a deserted enough area as no one freaked out. The two shinobi began their trip back to their sensei and half way there Amaya was able to walk normally again.
"We must've been really far away." Naruto commented, seeing how far away everyone was. "We were walking in that tunnel for a while." Amaya said. After a little more walking, they ended up beside their sensei and his fiancee.
"What've you two been up to?" Mei asked, peeking at them. "We found one of the underwater caves, explored it, almost died, got what I think is two summoning contracts, and left." Naruto said.
"Sounds about right." Zabuza said, enjoying the sun. "Why don't you two just lay down and relax for a bit?" Mei asked. The tweens shrugged and did just that.
*The next day*
The four walked into Yagura's office with the two genin holding the giant scrolls. "Hey Yagura, the gakis found these in the underwater caves yesterday." Zabuza said while the kids set the scrolls down.
Yagura stared at the scrolls and then back at the kids. "You two have the luck of the devil. These scrolls haven't been used by shinobi for years. They're protected by very venomous octopi, their venom is enough to kill 10 men."
The Mizukage wanted to ask how they did it but he already knew, jinchuuriki were immune to venom or any toxin for that matter. "You can go ahead and open them. Beware of the blue ringed one, they're the most venomous so I suggest that Naruto uses that one."
Naruto looked at Yagura with a raised eyebrow. The Mizukage explained. "I know that you're a jinchuuriki. It's not that difficult considering your treatment in Konoha and your chakra pools." Naruto shrugged, he'd have to tell him eventually.
After opening the scrolls, they both signed their names in blood and left fingerprints. "Do you two need to know the summoning seals?" Yagura asked, receiving two nods.
"Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram, and slam your hand down on the floor. Also, bite your thumb before you do the seals, it requires a blood sacrifice. Whatever you summon is your personal summon unless you manage to summon the boss."
After the adults cleared away and the kids had ample space, they bit their thumbs and began the jutsu. Unconsciously, they shouted the name of the jutsu. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!" Two plumes of smoke about the size of a backpack appeared before clearing.
After the clouds cleared, two octopi were shown. Both were about 8 inches wide. The one in front of Naruto was white with black rings surrounding smaller blue rings. The one in front of Amaya was white with brown stripes and spots.
As expected, their voices were kind of high. "A new summoner?" They both said at the same time. The blue ringed one jumped up and landed on Naruto's shoulder. "I'm Aosen, who are you?" It asked.
"Uzumaki Naruto, are you a male or female?" The octopus giggled out it's answer. "I'm a guy." Naruto brought up his hand and a tentacle slapped into his hand. "We're gonna get along just fine."
Ignoring the two males, Amaya crouched down to meet her summon. "Nara Amaya, you are?" The octopus jumped onto Amaya's hand which was infront of her face. "Sutori, nice to meet you."
Off to the side, Mei pouted. "That was underwhelming, I thought they were gonna be wielding katana and constantly on fire or something." Even Zabuza stared at her for that one. "Lady, the only thing we can do is camouflage, inject venom, use small Suiton jutsu, and harden our tentacles with chakra." Sutori said.
"Well that's easier than asking." Naruto said. "Is your venom the same as Aosen?" The redhead asked. "No, his venom blocks the sodium channels of the body while mine blocks chakra from being used. Speaking of his venom, there's some of it in both of your systems. It's had all of it's venomous effects taken but it's there."
Naruto laughed and rubbed his neck. "There were a lot of his brethren surrounding the scrolls. We might have stepped on a few." Aosen gave a shrug motion. "We're durable enough to be stepped on."
Yagura decided to ask the obvious questions needing to be asked. "Can you sense venom? How long can you stay out of water? What happens now?" Soturi answered. "My clan and Aosen's have lived in the same domain for generations and they're deaths sometimes so we've developed the ability to sense each other's venom as well as our own.
We can breath out of water for half an hour tops. Considering how moist the air is in Kiri, I'd say about 40 minutes here. After this, we report to the boss and tell them about our new summoners. The boss will most likely set up some tests for them both."
The humans in the room nodded. "It's about time we go anyways but before we leave there is something we must do." Within a matter of seconds, both octopus had bitten both octopus summoners.
"If you survive then you pass the first stage." With that, they went back home. Within a few seconds, both genin dropped to the floor. "The venoms have mixed. They're shutting down my connection and…" Kyuubi's message never finished as his connection was cut with Naruto.
The adults in the room rushed to the downed kids. Yagura set his palm onto Naruto and felt that none of Kyuubi's chakra was active in his system. "Shit, Kyuubi is blocked off. ANBU, get the poison team over to the hospital. Tell them it's double code blue. Zabuza, grab Amaya and get to the hospital as fast as you can. Mei, take Naruto."
The two jounin picked up their genin and sped to the hospital.
*Octopus domain*
In the submerged village off the coast of Kiri, the octopus were going through their day. In the main building, two octopi sat beside each other. They were humongous compared to their smaller brethren. They were the size of an adult male.
They were both white while one had blue rings surrounded by black rings while the other had brown stripes. In front of them was Aosen and Soturi. "We met the new summoners. They both have already survived the blue ringed venom once before but I increased the toxicity of my venom while biting them." Aosen said.
"I also made sure to increase the time limit of my venom to the max. They should have their chakra taken from them for a few hours." Soturi added on. Both octopus bosses seemed pleased.
"Very good, if they don't die by the time the venom wears off then we will reverse summon them here. I hope your Futon skills haven't dulled, Aome." The striped boss said, it's voice deep. "Yeah yeah, just make sure you remember how to reverse summon, Sutora." Aome, the blue ringed boss, said.
*Kirigakure hospital*
The two genin of Team Zabuza laid in hospital beds beside each other. Standing in front of their beds were Mei, Zabuza, and Yagura. Beside the door, stood a doctor with a clipboard. "Their bodies are fighting with everything it can. The only thing we can do is pray." The doctor said,
"Thank you doctor, you may leave now." Yagura said. "Right away, Mizukage-sama." The doctor bowed and left. "It's been 15 minutes or so since they've been bitten. We're lucky they're even alive now." The young Kage said.
Mei seemed to be more focused on Amaya than Naruto. "Is there a reason you're staring at her?" Zabuza asked, earning a sigh. "I know Naruto-chan will pull through since the Uzumaki have never died of any type of venom, our life force is simply too strong. Amaya-chan on the other hand isn't an Uzumaki and I don't know how her clan fairs with venom."
The other adults nodded. "Then the only thing we can do is wait."
*A few hours later*
The two tweens woke up relatively the same time, with the Uzumaki waking first. Whenever they woke up, no one was in the room. "Amaya-chan, are you alright?" The ravenette in the bed across from him gave a grunt.
"I've been paralyzed for the second time in two days and I got my chakra shut down. Do I seem alright?" She asked in a strained voice. "If it helps, you look good in a hospital gown." Naruto said. His response was a shadow shuriken flying into his pillow.
"Thanks but stop being a pervert." It was around that time that they both vanished in plumes of smoke.
*Octopus domain*
Both previously comatose genin appeared in a dry part of the building with the two boss octopus sitting across from them. They both scrambled up fairly quickly with each forming a weapon.
"Calm yourselves, you've already physically proven yourselves worthy of our contracts. We will not harm you anymore." Aome said. "Yes, we just require you two to answer a question before we allow full access to our contract." Sotura added on.
The genin kept their weapons up and waited for the question. "A man spits in your mother's face, do you A: look and see if he's had a bad day before doing something or B: punch the man."
There was no hesitation in each of their answers. "B." Naruto even added onto his. "I might've not known my mom but I'd probably kill anyone who spit in her face." The two octopus looked happy at their answers.
"Very good, each of you step over here. We have to give you the mark of the summoner, it'll allow you to summon quickly without hand seals. Just put chakra into it and imagine the reason you need the summon for." Aome said.
The two stepped forward, each in front of their respective boss summon. "Extend both arms." The genin did as ordered and tentacles wrapped around each arm. After a slight sting, the tentacles returned to their owners.
On their arms were circles in a swirl pattern down their arms. The inside of the circles were blue and brown differing on each of them. "We make sure to do both arms in case one gets cut off. You'd be surprised about how many summoners had that happen to them." Sutora said.
"Do we have to go through a lecture or can we go back home?" Naruto asked, getting a weird giggle from the two bosses. "You two require lectures. Summoning is simple, pump chakra and think of the purpose you need the summon for." Aome said.
"We can inform you two of the different octopi in our clans tomorrow. Go back home." Sutora reversed his reverse summon and Aome soon followed. "Those kids are unique." Aome said, a laugh leaving him.
"Indeed they are."
