The first thing Flora had felt was that someone was shaking her awake before feeling the hard cave floor underneath her.
Flora rubbed at her eyes to get all the sleepiness out of them then saw that Tana was the one who had been gently shaking her shoulders while her brother Lok was doing the same to Katie and Greg.
"What's the matter?" Flora asked Tana with a yawn, once Katie and Greg were up, Lok motioned for the three modern kids to follow him and Tana outside of the cave to teach them about their home.
"Today, you three will be helping us gather food." Lok answered Flora, she looked a little worried about running into the dinosaurs. "We will show you where we gather our food." Tana told the trio calmly.
The three kids and two teenagers went to the forest then began doing as Lok and Tana did when it came to getting the food. "So, who does the hunting?" Greg asked Lok as he picked up some blue berries.
"My father and the other men do the hunting." Lok responded to Greg, Katie and Flora shared a queasy look. "Are you two, okay?" Tana asked them, both future girls took some deep breaths before sighing.
"Sorry, it's just that we don't hunt or forage for food." Katie answered Tana, this surprised her and Lok. "How do you get your food then?" Lok asked Katie, she told them about the stores they had in their town.
Both Lok and Tana continued to ask questions about their home to which Katie and Greg happily answered but Flora wasn't sure that they should be telling the siblings about those things as it may confuse them.
Flora only listened to the four as they talked while she grabbed some more of fruit that they had eaten the night before since Gara had told her that it was safe for them to eat it, also because Flora liked it a lot.
Once the five had gathered enough food they took it back to the others so it could be stored for lunch and dinner later on, then they went to have fun as they got to know more about each other and their homes.
Tana taught Flora and Greg how to play her favorite game as she was happy to play with two kids close to the same age as her while Lok and Katie watched them fondly as they talked about their hobbies and things.
"I know that we are from different places, but does this mean that we are different?" Tana asked Flora, she shook her head 'no'. "We're still sisi ni sawa." Flora said with a smile, Greg followed along to what Flora said.
Tana and Lok were confused by what Flora said so she and Greg decided to explain in a very fun way about what sisi ni sawa meant and that's when Katie started making the rhythm for them both as they began to sing.

At that last line, Flora looked at Tana and Lok, who now had a look of understanding on their faces. "Your world or your world, it does not matter for we are the same." Tana said with a smile, Flora nodded.
"That's right, just because our ways of life are different doesn't mean we can't learn from each other." Flora replied wisely, her new friends laughed in happiness before going back to what they were doing before then.
What the five didn't know was that Gorok, Gara, John and Kim were watching them all interact with one another. "Looks like the children are getting along." Kim commented, the other three adults smiled at the scene.
"I suppose that we had no reason to worry, then." Gorok said with a nod, he and Gara had worried about what the children would do without the adults watching over them but the five proved to him that they were fine.
"It is good to see that Tana is playing with a child her own age." Gara said calmly but happily, she had hoped that Tana and Flora could be best friends and now their friendship is just beginning to blossom in front of her.
They all watched the children laugh as Digger and Glump joined them as the dog and baby dinosaur wanted to play. "We should head back." John told them; the other three adults started following him back to the cave.
John and Kim still wanted to know why a ten-year-old was allowed to go on a summer trip to the Amazon rainforest without her parents but figured that they could ask her later so as not to spoil the kid's fun right now.
