The Butler's along with Gorok and his family were at the lagoon checking on the water which was even lower again.
A drought was making the water dry up at a slow rate but a steady one none the less and everyone in the valley was worried that they wouldn't have any water to drink or cook with for a while as the water drained.
"We must do something." Gorok said gruffly, he knew the village and animals depended on the water. "Perhaps if we make a water dam, we can preserve the water." John suggested to his friend in a helpful tone.
Gorok was skeptical but John explained that the water dam would help hold back the water in the lagoon so everyone could have enough until the rainy season starts up which hopefully was sooner rather than later.
"We saw a bird!" Tana shouted out, everyone turned to her and Flora. "A bird?" Greg asked in confusion, he didn't see what was so exciting about that. "We saw a metal bird." Tana responded again as she panted.
The word 'metal' got the Butler's attention. "We saw a plane flying over." Flora told them; Tana drew a picture in the dirt to show what Flora meant. "Where did you see it?" Kim asked the two girls in amazement.
Both families followed Flora and Tana to where they had been playing before they saw the plane. "Right here." Tana said as they walked into a clearing. "There's the plane." Flora added pointing up, right at the sky.
The Butler's were excited to see the plane as it meant that they could finally leave the valley, Flora on the other hand had been told by Lok that they needed to build a water dam to save all the water in the lagoon.
"We need to build a radio transmitter to send an S.O.S." John told his family, Flora knew that they'd get distracted by the plane. "What about building a water dam?" Flora asked him, John then remembered that plan.
"Can't we build both of them?" Katie asked her, Flora shook her head 'no'. "We should focus on one project at a time." Flora replied firmly, Gorok and his family smiled at the young girl since she wanted to help them.
John knew that Flora was right, so they all got together and began to build the water dam in the morning but in the afternoon John and the others would gather what they needed for the transmitter to build the radio.
Flora was upset that the Butler's had gotten sidetracked since they were working on the radio transmitter more than the water dam. "We still need their help." Lok told Gorok, both men looked at the Butler's and sighed.
"I do not think they will help." Gorok replied to Lok, Gara came over as she looked around. "Where is Flora?" Gara asked them, before either could answer her. "Watch out!" Flora called out as she rolled a boulder to them.
Gorok, Lok and Gara watched in fascination as Flora was on top of the boulder rolling it to where the dam was before it stopped, and she was sent flying. "Flora!" Gara cried out in worry, Lok managed to catch Flora safely.
"Thanks for the save Lok." Flora said with a smile, Gorok shook his head at her antics. "I am surprised that you are not helping the Butler people." Gorok spoke up as Lok put her down, Flora frowned at him in sadness.
"Helping you guys first is more important." Flora responded to him, Gorok and his family were surprised at that. "But what about you going home?" Tana asked gently, Flora huffed. "I don't have one." Flora answered her.
After hearing that, the group got back to work in silence while the Butler's continued to work on the radio transmitter and checked to make sure that the plane did continue to fly over them at the same time every day.
On the day that the water dam was supposed to be finished, John and his family had finished the transmitter and all they had to do was wait for some wind to help get the radio transmitter going so they'd get some help.
"Once the plane comes into view, that's when I'll send the S.O.S out." John explained, Flora frowned at the Butler's. "It will be lonely without you and the Butler people." Gorok told Flora sadly, her heart was hurting again.
Flora helped work on the water dam while she was thinking about either staying in the valley or going back to her classmates. "I can't decide on what to do!" Flora thought as fresh tears to started to gather in her eyes.
Just then, a crack of thunder was heard. "A storm?" Gara said in surprise, the rainy season was finally starting but the water dam wasn't finished. "We must hurry!" Lok shouted over the thunder, the group tired to hurry.
Before the five knew it, the Butler's rushed to their aid. "What about your transmitter?" Gorok asked John, he explained that that Flora was right. "We should've helped you instead of doing both." John admitted to Gorok.
By the time the storm was over, both families saw that the water dam was safe and the lagoon had more water, but the radio transmitter was beyond damaged leaving one family feeling discouraged more than ever.
Looking up, Flora could see the plane coming closer, so she decided to help her fellow modern humans out by projecting her voice into the sky to at least get the pilots attention so they could send out help next time.
[Play A Million Miles Away English version from Belle]
[Flora]
(Music)
Light glimmers in a flower
Like jewels in a dream
They sky breaths life, love to everything
At times I've thought "I'm not enough"
The chains that tie my heart
But there's still a path that lies ahead for you and I
Memories fade away, clouds of yesterday
With no one to love
Come back to me, and stay by my side
I feel my heart shake. Come, ease this ache
I'm standing over here, reaching for you
A million miles away, come back and stay
No matter how far the memories may be
When I close my eyes, you're all that I see
Come back to me
A million miles away, come back and stay

Sing, let your heart soar! Sing Forever!
Sad and so happy! Feelings flow over, now
Our world is full of all kinds of colors
Closing my eyes, I still can see the stars
Shine in the sky, sing their harmony
Flowers, they're blooming, oh it's beautiful
Sing! Sing! Sing!
Sing this song, I won't stop now
Sing it through, I love you!
The voice carries on!
(Music fades out)
Once the music finally faded out, everyone looked at Flora just as she opened her eyes. "I believe that song will pique their curiosity." Flora said with a smile, the Butler's now understood why she'd started to sing for them.
"Will they really send us some help?" Greg asked wonder, Flora wasn't sure, but she didn't want to crush their hope. "It is possible that my voice reached them." Flora answered vaguely, she hoped that it would work.
"Regardless, we should get some rest now before another storm happens." Gara told everyone, they all agreed with her and went back to the cave in order to get some sleep. "Thank you." Katie whispered to Flora softly.
"It was nothing." Flora whispered back, just as everyone fell asleep, another storm began to start, but thankfully the cave kept out the rainwater so Flora and both families could rest easy knowing that they were safe.
New chapter done! I don't own the song in this chapter, please review and no flames!
