AN; to the four people who are reading this book... Hi, I hope you are enjoying it! I was on a plane and just kinda wrote like 14k words, so I'm going through editing and probably will be posting the rest of part one. Yes I finished part one, which means I get to finally delve into aot world. Just btw this isn't a two part, my plan is for more... take that how you will *wink*. Okay enough chit chat here's the chapter:

GUYS I POSTED CHAPTER THREE TWICE ACCIDENTALLY, the second one was longer and full and I removed the first one. Please reread that if you didn't read it when I updated. Sorry about that.

Octavia woke up in the familiar medical room, jolting up from the strange encounter. Instead of Abby tending to her, Clarke was by her side, and noticing she was awake smiled.

"She's up," she called to someone Octavia couldn't see, only when Indra and Gaia walked through the door did she know. Octavia staggered out of bed, Clarke grabbing her arm to stabilize her. "You shouldn't be walking," she said, and Octavia made a point to pretend she didn't. She didn't have time for this, she needed to reach the valley.

Octavia turned to Indra, shaking off the worried look in her mentors eyes. "Mobilize the troops, we leave tommarow at first son for the valley," she hissed before staggering out the door.

"You can't be serious?" Gaia asked, rushing after her commander. "Forgive me for saying this but you're hardly in any shape and preparations must be made. We must know what route to take and-"

"We don't have time for preparations, the ship they had had missiles. The only reason they didn't use them was because they were somehow locked out, but who knows how long that will last. Clarke knows the way to the valley, she will come with me to meet with the delegates and you will do as I command you to," Octavia said angrily, not having time for this conversation.

"This is him isn't it, you wouldn't do something so rash," Gaia tried to say but Octavia cut her off.

"This is completely me," she said honestly. Shadheda wasn't here, this was fully her decision. "This isn't rash Gaia this is war, a war they started when they killed my people," Octavia hissed leaving the room with a worried Clarke behind her.

"Octavia maybe we should-" Clarke began only to be cut off.

"You want to get back to that valley more than anyone Clarke, so you will help me take back your home," she said, and after a pause Clarke followed her.

——-

The delegates were already assembled, they knew something was to happen and were discussing plans for war. However it surprised them to see their commander up, as it had been less than an hour since the incident. Still, they bowed as she staggered in and made room for her at the head of the table. On it was a map to the Valley and Octavia studied it carefully, eyeing the two routes.

"Clarke, which one will deliver us to the valley faster?" She asked, allowing Clarke to step forward. Clarke looked at the map and considered.

"You could go this way," she said, drawing a finger along a route, "but it's sandstorm season."

Octavia nodded. "Then I see that as a plus, they have an eye in the sky, they have nukes, the sand will cover our position," she said, receiving nods from the delegates.

"No it's not just sand," Clarke explained, "it crystallized in Praimfaya, the glass will tear our tents to pieces," she explained and pointed to the other highlighted route. "This ways a day longer, seven days but-"

"We only have rations for six Clarke," Octavia said before pausing. All eyes were looking at their commander for what to do next. Octavia closed her eyes, looking for even a scrap of wisdom to be found. Less than a minute passed and her eyelids became the screen for a vivid play of images projected. She saw wars play out through her own eyes, saw the losses and gains. When she opened her eyes again she knew what she had to do.

"Despite the risk we must take the shorter route, in war every second counts." She said, seeing Claire's appalled look and shaking her head. "The battle of Polis, if the ice queen had acted a day sooner instead of opting to bring more forces she could have taken over it yet she failed, all due to her fear of the great armies she had not being enough. We need to act now, before they can get the eye in the sky back up." She said finally, the delayers nodding.

"No there's no way you're actually going to do that. To think-"

"If Heda says we do it then we do it," the azgeda delegate hissed at Clarke who seemed to tilt her head ever so slightly. Before anything more could be said their attention was drawn to a commotion outside of the tent.

Octavia stepped outside to find her brother arguing with miller who stood between him and the tend. When Bellamy saw her his eyes relaxed ever so slightly before becoming angry.

"You're mobilizing the army!" He accused her angrily.

"Very observant Bellamy," Octavia said as she rolled her eyes.

"You plan to fight a war on the last survivable valley with all that's left of the human race?" He asked, more angry than confused. Because he knew his sister and how much she had changed, he knew what she was capable of.

"I plan to win before they take their missions and wipe out wonkru. I offered them a chance and they killed one of my own," she said angry that her brother didn't understand her.

"Our friends are still in that valley," he said angrily. "Who knows what will happen if you-"

"I couldn't care less Bellamy, it is my responsibility to protect wonkru and if that means marching into that damn valley that's exactly what I'll do. If that means killing 4 people to save 10 hundred I would do it without blinking!" She yelled and realizing she had been gesturing relaxed her arms. "We leave tomorrow at first light, either come or don't it's your choice," Octavia said before walking away.

Bellamy turned around watching the delegates follow his sister away. Perhaps he was petty for saying this, but he couldn't bite his tongue, "you're not a commander Octavia so stop acting like one."

Octavia turned back to her brother, the glare illuminating her eyes red. She frowned at him before turning away, and he felt a pang of guilt for what he had said.
