Edelgard, joined by Blake and Sun, face off against Roman, who now controls one of the prototype Paladins.

The Paladin started to shoot against the three, with Blake and Sun dodging while Edelgard blocked the bullets thanks to her hardened skin.

"One would think that the better technology of this world would give them a chance to fight, but it seems that your prototype is not going to help you on this one" -

Jumping high in the air, Edelgard avoided more attacks from the Paladin while with a kick, she sent it flying and crashing on a nearby building.

"Miss Edelgard!" - Blake yelled, surprised about the strength her teacher had.

"Come on, he's not down yet" - Sun said as he jumped in the direction of the Paladin, only to be immediately launched away by the armor.

"What an idiot" -

"Teacher, can you keep it busy?" -

"What do you intend Blake?" -

"Watch me, just please keep his attention" -

Like her student told her, Edelgard launched several punches against the Paladin while Roman inside of it shot her to no avail. While the bullets did nothing to Edelgard, it could match her in strength.

Keeping the Paladin busy, it allowed Blake to sneak up on it and damage it's legs, causing it to fall down.

"Teacher, now!" -

Filling her fist with magic from her two Crests, Edelgard punched the Paladin hard enough to shatter part of the armor, leaving the weapons unusable.

"Ah, you're so rough! Don't you know how hard it is to get one of these!?" - Roman yelled from inside the cockpit of the Paladin.

"You and your grunts might have power in the underworld, but the things you get are pitiful" -

"I'll show you what is pitiful" -

Using the rockets on the back of the Paladin, Roman launched herself against Edelgard and with a punch, she was thrown back into the warehouse where the meeting was taking place.

"Dammit..!" - Blake said as she tried to damage the Paladin with her attacks, but she couldn't do much, or at least that was the case until ice projectiles were launched against the armor, getting its attention.

"Who?" -

The rest of Team RWBY had arrived to fight against their enemy, with all of them joining with Blake while their Teacher got up from the ground after the hit and got together with her students.

"It seems like Roman got himself a new toy" - Yang said while preparing her gauntlets.

"Be careful, those punches hurt. Even Teacher has problems with those" - Blake warned her teammates.

"I am fine Blake, nothing but a minor inconvenience" -

"Teacher, what do we do here?" - Ruby asked.

"His exterior is tough, my hits may damage it but it will take some time for it to go down. Girls, swarm him, wear down his armor little by little until I can go for the finisher" -

"Understood. Team RWBY, go!" -

With that, everyone launched again against the Paladin.

Weiss used her weapon combined with Ice Dust to freeze the floor, causing the Paladin to fall down after it tried to run against them.

Yang started to fire rounds of shots from her gauntlets against the fallen Paladin before it managed to get up from the ground.

At high speeds, Ruby sliced the armor of the Paladin, but she didn't manage to do as much damage as she expected. The Paladin didn't seem damaged at all and with a single blow, Ruby was sent flying but Edelgard catched her in mid air.

"Teacher..." -

"Do not lose focus, stay behind me" -

Edelgard put Ruby at her back and jumped at the Paladin, landing with strength on top of it and trying to cut her way inside with her bare fists, but her punching was stopped as the Paladin shook her off.

Landing by Weiss' side, both of the girls had an idea. Augmented by the Semblance of Weiss, Ruby's shots were devastating against the Paladin, pushing it back little by little while Yang and Blake shot it from the back.

The Paladin showed severe damage now, with a lot of its front parts destroyed, burned or torn off. The rockets on the back were also damaged and didn't work, but even like that, the machine and its pilot were not going down without a fight.

Edelgard, already growing a bit tired from the insistence of their enemy, decided to end the fight on the spot.

"He's becoming a nuance, help me put him down for good girls" -

"Always ready for your orders Teacher" - Ruby said with a smile.

"Weiss, go for its legs, do not allow him to move" -

Obeying the orders given by her teacher, Weiss used her Ice Dust in order to freeze the legs of the Paladin and stop it from moving.

With the enemy unable to move, Edelgard signaled Ruby and Blake to attack the limbs of the armor with the intentions of cutting them off and.

The Paladin tried to stop them from doing so, but being the two most powerful physically, Edelgard and Yang restrained it while the girls cut the arms off.

After a few seconds of non stop slashing, the arms finally came off and now, the Paladin had no war of fighting back. With that, Edelgard climbed to the cockpit and ripped it with little effort thanks to the damage caused earlier. Inside, there was Roman with a mocking smile.

"So... How are you going to pay for destroying my toy?" - he asked with a playful tone before being knocked unconscious by Edelgard with a single punch.

"They were right, you're very annoying" -

Ruby called the police using her scroll and they arrived in no time, capturing Roman with no problem thanks to the help of Team RWBY and Edelgard.

"We appreciate your help, but this was pretty dangerous, I hope you had some supervision" - one of the policeman said to Ruby.

"Worry not, the girls had my help. I'm Edelgard, a new teacher at Beacon" -

"A new teacher? Interesting, that school hasn't have a new teacher in a while" -

"Ozpin has his reasons, and you can consult with him if you're interested, for now, my mission is to take them back to the Academy" -

"Very well then... Be safe" -

The policemen left the area with their new prisioner while Team RWBY was alone with their Teacher.

"I congratulate you girls. Even at this dangerous mission, you managed to keep your calm" -

"Thanks Teacher, and thanks for helping us" - Ruby said with her big smile.

"I'm wondering how Roman got his hands on a Paladin, will he have some contact in Atlas?" - Weiss started to ask herself.

"I'll inform this to Ironwood and tell him to up his security and start to question his troops" -

"His toy was tough, I can't believe we managed to win that one" - Yang said.

"Thanks to Teacher, we could" - Blake commented before looking at Edelgard - "Thank you for your help" -

"You're welcome girls. If you ever decide to try something dangerous, I'll be willing to go with you and help you" -

With that, all of them started to make their way towards Beacon Academy.
