After the events concerning Roman and the White Fang, Edelgard believes that they could have a quiet time, even for a few days with the upcoming dance, but she senses something stirring deep within Beacon and takes upon herself to investigate.

"Too slow!" - Edelgard yelled as she blocked a hit from Ruby's scythe with her arm before launching the girl against a rock.

Weiss used her weapon to launch fire against their teacher, but she as well blocked it.

Yang took advantage of Edelgard being distracted and managed to get a good punch in her back, but their teacher kicked her away before she could do something else.

Blakes tried to make use of her Semblance to get a hit on Edelgard, but she was found out and stopped.

Finally, Jaune and Weiss both attacked at the same time, yet Edelgard dodged them and countered, leaving them on the ground with no chance to fight.

"This is the third victory for me today and the tenth in total. Your training is not paying off the way I expected it to" - Edelgard bluntly said as they all got back up on their feet - "However, I have to admit that you're doing better each time" -

"Teacher, one more time! I feel like we can do better" - Ruby still had a bit of energy, but...

"No, this is it for the day. Go home and rest. Blake, stay behind please" -

While the rest of Team RWBY and Jaune left to rest, Blake stayed behind, thinking about what Edelgard would say to her.

"I've seen that for the past few days you look tired, have you been getting enough sleep?" -

"No, but I'm fine, don't worry about me" -

"I'm your teacher Blake, it would be impossible for me not to care. Why are you like this? Is it about the White Fang?" -

"Yes. We took down Roman and he's on police custody, but they're still active and they're going to continue robing and..." -

"Blake Belladonna, listen to me" - Edelgard grabbed Blake by the head - "We'll take them down, but right now you need to take your head off of that matter, you're hurting your own body. Take a rest and prepare for the dance with your team" -

"Teacher, with all due respect, I refuse. The White Fang is something that needs to be addressed immediately. They're not going to wait, and I won't as well" -

With that, Blake retired. The small conversation gave Edelgard something to think. If that girl continued, she was going to push herself too far

"Belladonna, you can't carry that weight all by yourself. I'll see if I can do something for her later" -

After that, Edellgard planned to make her way back to Beacon, but was stopped by the sudden arrival of Pyrrah, Ren and Nora from Team JNPR.

"Good afternoon, can I help you all with something?" -

"Yes, it's about those training that you have with Jaune and Team RWBY" - Pyrrah took the word - "I've seen him coming back with marks of hits and one time his clothes came burned" -

"Yes, what about it?" -

"What are you making them do?" -

"What it takes for them to become good Hunters. Mostly they fight against me, but they haven't been able to defeat me" -

"So that's why they have punch marks in their faces" - Nora whispers to Ren.

"If that is all, I need to get back to Beacon, there's something important I need to do" -

"Wait, teacher. I'd like to join your training too" - Pyrrah said without a single bit of hesitation.

"Oh? Interesting" -

"Pyrrah, what are you doing?" - Ren asked.

"I need to make sure she doesn't go overboard with Jaune" - it was all she said.

"Why is that? Do you feel something for him, Nikos?" -

"He's our team leader, I can't allow you to hurt him during your trainings" -

"... Alright then, you may join us during the trainings, but I'll require that your friends come with you as well" -

"What?" -

"I feel like your performance as a team would improve if I trained all of you at once and not just miss Nikos and mister Arc" -

Ren and Nora froze in place. They only agreed to come to help Pyrrah in case things got tough, but getting dragged into the training with her...

"Very well then, Team JNPR will be in your care from now on" - the redhead said without flinching.

"Pyrrah!?" - Nora screamed as she was getting ready to run.

"Very well then, tomorrow at 5 pm after classes are over, I expect all of you here. Now, if you excuse me" -

And with that, Edelgard returned to Beacon. There was something important she had to do.

After returning to the Academy, she went around the school, searching for Blake until she stumbled across the girl reading a book in the library.

"Good afternoon Blake" - Edelgard said as she approached the girl - "Can I sit here as well?" -

"Yes, of course" - the girl answered, not taking her eyes off from the book she was reading.

Edelgard caught a glimpse of the title, it talked about Faunus' life and their story. With that, the teacher started to remember a talk she had with Ozpin after they apprehended Roman.

/Ozpin's office, a few days ago/

"While the matter with Roman was careless, I must congratulate you and Team RWBY for your victory against him" -

"I was simply doing what needed to be done, someone like him cannot be allowed to roam free" -

"I agree, Edelgard..." -

"However, one thing is confusing me, why was Blake so obsessed with capturing them? Did the White Fang do something to her?" -

"It's... Complicated. It's not something one can share with everyone" -

"I am not 'everyone' Ozpin, I'm their teacher, and if something like this happens again, I need to know" -

Ozpin took a deep breath and mumbled something to himself under his breath before finally speaking.

"Blake is a Faunus and from a talk I had with her, she has connections, or had, with the White Fang. She uses that headband to cover her animal features. I tried to learn more about it, but she shuts down all my attempts at asking more questions'' -

Edelgard and Ozpin shared a look for a moment before she smiled.

"So it's like that... Thanks Ozpin, I think I can do something with this information" -

/Back at the present/

Blake looked at Edelgard, who was reading a book about the ancient fairy tales of Remnant, and she got a bit curious. As she looked at the page, Blake noticed her teacher was reading about 'The Two Brothers'.

"Do you like stories about the gods?" -

"On the contrary, I think gods are unnecessary to humanity" -

"Why?" -

"It's a secret, but I think we can make a deal. I'll tell you, but in exchange, you'll have to remove your headband" -

"Teacher?" -

"A secret... In exchange for another" -

"In that case, I refuse" -

Edelgard looked at Blake, mildly surprised at her reaction, but she wasn't going to let it slide.

"Pity, I thought you'd be interested. I certainly am, after all…" - Edelgard got close and whispered to Blake - "Cats are one of my favorite animals" -
