Cornered by her teacher, Blake has to reveal her past and her intentions with the White Fang.

As Blake held Edelgard's hand, she took her to an empty classroom before locking the door with a chair.

"What is that supposed to mean!?" - she said, panicked as to why her teacher mentioned cats particularly when talking to her.

"Oh my, is there something wrong with what I said miss Blake?" -

"You... Wait, did you already...?" -

"If you're going to say 'know about your state as a Faunus', the answer is yes. Ozpin told me a few days ago after we got back from our mission" -

"He did!? Ok Blake, calm down, calm down, she's only your teacher" -

"You're right, I am ONLY your teacher, and it's my duty to help my students with their problems. Now, Blake Belladona, I want you to tell me everything" -

Blake stayed silent for a few seconds, as the intimidating figure of Edelgard stood in front of the girl. The black parts of her Hegemon form still covering part of her face and her bright red eyes only made things worse for the cat Faunus, but she tried to stay in control.

"Miss Edelgard... I..." -

"It will only be a small talk Blake, after which you can leave and return to your regular activities" -

Edelgard kept the pressure over Blake but the girl managed to keep herself composed and didn't say a word, though her teacher could tell she was visibly scared and nervous. To get her to open up, she decided to change her approach.

"Let me tell you a story Blake, a story about me and my past" -

"Miss Edelgard?" -

Edelgard sat on the professor's seat before lifting her right sleeve, showing Blake the blackness of the Hegemon form going all the way up her arm.

"You see, I don't belong in this world, I wasn't born here, but rather arrived after my demise in my original world. I tried to change it by force, rid it of a system that kept weighing it down and as such, entered a war with several of my old friends and my teacher. At the end, in the brink of my defeat, I resorted to my last trick, what you see here and now" -

With curiosity gaining over her, Blake got up from her seat and approached her professor, touching the blackness covering her arm.

"It's rough, like armor..." -

"It was born from my two Crest, I called it the Hegemon Husk, and it was my last ditch attempt at victory. With all my allies either dead or in hiding, I made a last stand in my Palace, but it was for naught. The enemy forces, led by a dear friend of my childhood, managed to overpower what little remained of my army and I ended up dying at his hands. After that, I expected to find myself in the afterlife, but instead I ended up here" -

After hearing the story, Blake stood there in silence, not knowing what to say.

"You know why I am telling this to you Blake?" -

"N-No miss Edelgard" -

"It's a warning for you to not end up like me. Trying to fight a whole organization by yourself will get you nowhere, you'll simply spiral down into desperation, watching how all your efforts crumble before your very eyes and... Your ambitions are destroyed alongside your life" -

Blake had nothing to say. Seeing her teacher like this, listening to her past, her dreams destroyed... Was this the path she would walk if she tried to fight the White Fang all on her own?

"But... The White Fang, I was a part of them..." -

"Oh? I see, you're finally ready to speak Blake. Come, let it all out, I'm here to help you" -

Finally, the Faunus girl decided to speak. She told Edelgard about her life, how she was 'born' into the White Fang, how she started by simply attending the protests they organized before escalating things from simple protests to guerrilla warfare. She told Edelgard how she was trained as a fighter and infiltrator by one of the most experienced members, Adam Taurus. However, before she could continue...

"Hold it for a second Blake, there's something I'm curious about. This Adam that you speak off, you're talking about him in a different manner, like he is, or was, someone important" -

"Well... He and I were close. He taught me many of the things I know and..." -

"You had feelings for him, didn't you? I can't say I blame you. After all, spending so much time with one person can birth affection" -

"Yes, I did have feelings for him, but after one of our missions and seeing him not care for the lives of innocents, I couldn't take it anymore. I deserted from the White Fang and joined Beacon in the hopes of becoming a Huntress" -

"I see... I am going to say Blake, I'm glad you decided to tell me this, must have been hard for you to muster the courage to do so" -

"Well miss Edelgard, this is why I need to take down the White Fang. I need to make up for the mistakes I made in the past" -

"I understand that, but like I told you before, you're letting your goal consume you, which will lead to nothing but suffering. Moreover, you're refusing help of others, and you alone will not be able to take all of them" -

"But who else am I supposed to ask for help? My team is..." -

"I would be more than glad to help you Blake. As your professor, it's my duty to aid my students in their necessities, and I think you need more help than you care to admit" -

Blake said nothing, she simply looked at Edelgard, smiled genuinely before hugging her and saying a simple "Thank you" before leaving the classroom. With Edelgard alone, she sat down and started to remember times in the Academy, with one person in particular.

"I wonder what would Byleth say if he could hear me now..." -
