Chris was in the Pahkitew Ski Resort lodge common area by himself at the moment, having to do the decorating of the place all on his own since the show wasn't really filled to the brim with interns willing to work for Chris. Only a few had signed up, and they were only there because they were fans of the show, not actual hard workers. "Could this get any worse? Those interns should be handling all of this!" Chris complained as he set a snow globe down above the fireplace.

His answer would soon come, as a man in a business suit and sunglasses walked through the entrance, holding a briefcase. He was as generic agent-looking as possible, seemingly unaffected by the cold. "McLean. A word from the network." the man greeted Chris, in a completely neutral tone.

Chris walked over to the bar of the lodge, which was right by the entrance, and took a seat there. "What is it? Another budget cut?" Chris asked, his voice full of dread.

The man shook his head, then set the briefcase down on the bar. "The network hand picked the cast for you this time, all of their files with their personal information are in here, do with it what you will." the man told Chris, bringing a frown to the host's face.

Chris opened up the briefcase and skimmed over the names and labels the network gave to the teens, amused by a few of them. "This is that Keith right?" Chris asked the man, who promptly nodded.

Chris grinned and rubbed his hands together. "Perfect, so you guys didn't completely screw me over with this cast. This, this is workable." Chris felt a bit more confident now, his grin growing more sinister.

The man put on Chris's hands as he rubbed them together, shaking his head disapprovingly. "Another thing, the network wants you to drop the whole crazy schtick. Focus groups hated it and our target demographic online seems to hate it too." the man instructed, confusing Chris a little.

"So what am I supposed to do then? That's always been my style." Chris asked, not realizing how much he had changed.

The man shook his head again. "No it hasn't. The network wants to bring things back to the good days of season 1 and season 2, where you seemed to care for the cast. The network specifically cited when you talked to Trent in Phobia Factor of when you talked to Beth in the finale of Action. Moments of humanity will make you more 'relatable' and 'likeable' to the audience." the man stated, then stepped away from Chris.

Chris crossed his arms, just a bit offended. "You guys said to play up the craziness for ratings, and to make the cast miserable! But fine, I'll go back to my normal hosting gig style. Takes less effort anyway." Chris agreed to tone himself down, and the man nodded in approval.

The man walked to the entrance of the lodge and opened the door, looking back at Chris one more time. "Another thing, the network is depending on this, it better work. If this flops, you'll be on the Hollywood blacklist, your career will be over. Good luck and have fun McLean." the man warned Chris, then walked outisde.

Chris's eyes widened at this news, realizing how much was on the line now. "That won't be an issue..." Chris assured himself. "I'm Chris McLean, the greatest host around! As if I could flop! They'll be thanking me once this all over! I just have to babysit these kids for a few weeks, easy as that!" Chris tried to muster up more confidence, although his stress only built as he began to flip through the files of the contestants to try and piece together his approach.

Hello everyone, surprised to see an update so fast? I wasn't aware of how quickly so many high quality OCs would come in, so it took me by surprise when I got everyone on this cast. If you didn't get selected, it's nothing personal. This is just a cast I believe works well together and I was able to form a plot with. Thank you to everyone who sent someone in, I know it can be tough to send someone to a new creator, so it means a lot that I got all of these so fast from some of the writers I look up to. The first episode I will try to get out before the year's end, but I won't be rushing it, so that is subject to change.
