-Episode 1: Introduction to the Snow: Part 1-

Somewhere in Northern Canada, Chris was standing in front of a ski lift, with the Pahkitew Ski Lodge far off in the distance. He was in his white winter coat, grinning at the camera. There wasn't any snowfall at the moment, but the mountains in the distance and the one Chris was standing on were covered in sheets of a snow. "Yo! Welcome viewers, to this new season of Total Drama! Missed me? I know you did! I am your host as always, Chris McLean, do I really need introduction?" Chris greeted the audience, pointing at himself pridefully.

Chris lifted both arms for extra emphasis, hoping to get the people watching more hyped up. "We've brought in 20 teens, all of them ready to climb to the top and knock everyone else on their way to the prize money! A million buckaroos, none of which will be used well, but I guess it can't be helped." Chris chuckled, already knowing that the winner would probably not use the money well in the slightest.

A helicopter could be seen flying towards Chris in the distance, currently going over one of the mountains on Chris's side of the ski lift. "Our cast will be arriving here shortly, although they'll be in for quite the surprise when they get here! In fact, they'll get a taste of the cold wilderness much earlier than they expect!" Chris informed the audience, looking to the helicopter.

Chef walked up next to Chris from off-camera, snickering as he was holding a button. He pushed it, and the engine of the helicopter carrying the contestants promptly exploded, sending it careening down to one of the plateaus on the mountain-side. "Don't worry, legal already said that the padding inside would be enough for them to avoid harm. We're keeping a close eye on these kids! But who are they? And what exactly will happen to them? Don't touch that remote, because you're about to find out right here, on Total Drama Snowscapes!" Chris pointed to the camera with one hand, then winked.

Intro:

Dear Mom and Dad I'm doing fine

The title sequence began with cameras popping out of random places covered in snow, one of them popping out of a tree and facing toward the ground, completely useless. Chris was standing in front of the snow lodge, one hand raised towards it and the other on his hip. As the camera zoomed past him and into the lodge, Chris dove out of the way.

You guys are on my mind

Katelyn was filing her nails at the lodge bar, having a disinterested look on her face while Preston sat next to her and watched, holding all of the beauty supplies on his lap. Sienna was waiting for her turn to use them, and when she opened her mouth to say something, Katelyn glared at her to shut her up.

You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is plain to see

Further into the common area, Mathias was counting each of the breaks that made up the fireplace out loud while Roxanne was chilling on one of the chairs just listening to her music, with Foxtrot sitting near her to listen in. His counting was getting annoying, so Roxanne turned up her volume, which then annoyed Mathias.

I wanna be famous~

Chef was walking out of the kitchen towards the common area where the others were sitting, with a tray of cookies in his hands. He heard the loud music and frowned, although Sharon zipped by him and snatched a cookie off the tray while he was standing still. Mario tries to take one as well, although Chef moves the tray away from him.

I wanna live close the sun

Going into the dining hall that Chef had just come from, Ralph was showing a card trick to an unamused Grecia, then pulled a card out of her ear seemingly out of nowhere. Miriam was watching the trick, and smirked as she pointed at the card in his sleeve and ruined the trick.

So pack your bags 'cuz I've already won

Outside of the lodge, Hedrick was sitting behind a bush and watching a trap he set up in the snow to catch something. Lucas was unfortunate enough to walk into it, which snatched him up with a rope net and held him from a tree. Hedrick rolled his eyes while Lucas began to yell at him.

Everything to prove nothing in my way, I'll get there one day

Raphael and Keith arrived at the lodge after a long run, with both of the boys fairly tired. They both gave each other a fist bump out of respect, although Raphael quickly noticed Lucas in the trap and rushed to help him.

'Cuz I wanna be famous~

Destiny was sitting by herself at the top of a hill making a snowman, although it nearly got knocked over by Van's snowboard as she and Lola ran by to ride down the hill.

Nanananana, nanananana nananana

Lola and Van rode side by side down the snowy hill, soon catching up to Cynthia, who gave the two of them a polite wave. Lola waved back, which made her lose her balance and begin tumbling down the hill.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

Biff was skiing further down the hill, and he was soon crashed into from behind by Lola, and the two of them now snowballed all the way down to the bottom two rocks of the hill, which made the snowball they had built from tumbling down burst, throwing both snow and dollar bills from Biff at the screen.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

The snowball burst on the screen melted away and transitioned to a bonfire outside the lodge in the Elimination Peak, where Chef was handing out hot chocolate to everyone. As the cast whistled the final bits of the song, everyone including Chris raised their cups with a smile, while the shot zoomed out a little bit to show the name of the season on a wooden sign.

Returning to the episode... we cut to a few minutes before Chris blew up the helicopter, and everyone was hanging out in the main cabin, sitting on seats lined up in a square, with each side having 5 people on them. It was somewhat cramped, although everyone was able to fit onto the seats. "Soooooo, now that we're almost here, are you all excited? I used to come to places like these on my vlogs all the time!" Sienna started a group conversation, since the teens had mostly been engaging in small talk.

Sienna was a fairly tall girl at 5'8" with blonde hair and blue eyes. She quite large though, weighing at 315 pounds and taking up more space than anyone else in the helicopter. She, like all of the other contestants, was currently wearing a dark gray snow jacket, thermal trousers, and a pair of walking boots. The production crew had gotten everyone matching outfits for the cold environment, just so no one was unprepared or overprepared. Unfortunately for Sienna, the largest size they had barely fit her, so it was a bit tight-fitting.

"I guess I am..." Destiny replied to Sienna's question, in a rather soft tone. She was looking at the floor, swinging her legs back and forth while sitting with her hands on her lap. She was an ivory pale girl of average height with long straight black hair and green eyes. Nothing else stood out about her appearance wise, although she seemed just carry a mysterious air with her.

"You guess? You're about to have a chance at a million dollars, stay at a ski resort, and meet Chris McLean, I'd call that exciting!" Lucas quipped, although it was in more of an insulting manner than excited one. He was a pasty white boy standing at 5'4", with matching long straight black hair. He had light red lipstick and black eyeliner on, as well as having several piercings on his nose and lip. He was on the skinny side as well.

Lucas had unfortunately caught the attention of Biff, who was sitting opposite to Lucas in the helicopter. He gave a wink and alternating finger wave to Lucas, making the femboy gag. Biff was a tanned guy with amber eyes and a clean shaven head kept covered by a yellow beanie. He stood at 5'10", and had a slightly muscular build. "Heyyyyyy girl, what's your name again? Didn't notice such a cute thing was sitting right across from me~" he tried to flirt, not realizing Lucas was a guy.

"Just call me Lucy." Lucas answered, playing into what he thought, although he didn't use a nice tone to respond.

Biff rubbed his hands together, half to keep himself warm and half to scheme. "Lucy huh? Looking forward to hanging out with you by the fireplace tonight~" Biff continued to flirt, before receiving a sharp elbow from the person sitting next to him.

This was Mario, one of the more muscular teens on the helicopter. He was average height, had short brown hair kept under a red baseball cap, and blue eyes. "It's not cool to talk to someone like that when you barely know them." Mario told Biff, keeping a neutral tone, not kind or threatening.

Roxanne was sitting next to Mario, and she gave a nod of approval to his words, with Lucas mouthing the words 'thank you' to Mario. Roxanne was Asian, and had black hair tied in a ponytail with grey streaks in her hair and the ponytail being dyed green. She had yellow eyes, although they couldn't be seen underneath the Daft Punk helmet she was wearing. She was 5'7, with a fairly athletic build. She had her blue headphones around her neck at the moment, with techno music faintly playing out of them to add to the atmosphere.

Completely tuning out the conversation, Ralph was sitting on his own currently shuffling a deck of cards. He was a bit skinny, standing at 5'9", and had short brunette hair with green eyes. He had a pocket belt on with a box for his deck of cards as well. He drew a card once he finished shuffling, being an 8, then silently nodded at what he grabbed before putting it back in the deck.

"What was that? Some kind of party trick?" Miriam asked, having been watching Ralph's activity out of curiosity. She had moderately brown skin, black wavy hair in a high ponytail, and dark brown eyes. She stood at 5'5", and had a slim build.

"Just guessing how I'll act today. Got an 8, so I'll just go down the middle. Name's Ralph Rodriguez Javier Gonzales the Third by the way." Ralph introduced himself politely, holding a hand out to shake.

Miriam raised an eyebrow, already weirded out by Ralph. "So you just let a card choose your personality? Are you some kind of magician, because maaaan, that's wack. Sounds tiring too." Miriam questioned, not believing him slightly.

Ralph nodded, putting his deck of cards back on his belt. "It's just the way to go, it works for me. Makes life more... fun, you know?" Ralph replied very casually, like this was a normal thing people did.

"Still don't see it, but it floats your boat I guess." Miriam didn't poke any further at it, since Ralph was being polite at least through his weirdness.

Mathias was sitting in one of the corners, mumbling to himself as he scanned the room repeatedly, using his finger to guide where he was looking. He stood at 5'6", had light beige skin, and was pretty scrawny with a lanky posture. He had brown hair with a bit of an orange tint in the light that was pushed back and held in place with hair spray.

His mumblings seemed non-stop, and they were getting on the nerves of Grecia, who was sitting next to him and trying to read The Odyssey. She was the shortest member of the cast, standing at 3'11". She had apricot colored skin, short shaggy brown hair and large glasses, which she had one hand on as she read. The outfit production had gotten for her was just a little big, so everything drooped down a little. "Care to tell what you're mumbling about?" Grecia asked, some spit coming out of her mouth as she spoke thanks her lateral lisp.

"Just counting right now..." Mathias aimlessly answered, not even looking her way.

"Counting what?" Grecia further questioned.

"Counting everything. Right now I'm on the outfits. There are 20 of us here, so that means 40 identical individual boots, and 20 identical jackets, and 20 identical trousers. Gonna count the seats next." Mathias answered, pointing to Grecia's outfit as he spoke.

Grecia lowered her book and wagged a finger with the hand that was on her glasses. "Ackthually, they're not all identical. Our bodies are varying ranges of sizes, thus the clothes producthon gave us are different sizes as well." Grecia corrected Mathias, then went back to reading her book.

Katelyn watched the two nerds chat while she filed her nails, rolling her eyes in disgust as she saw spit fly from Grecia's mouth. She was a natural beauty with ivory skin, blue eyes, and a blonde pony tail tied with a pink ribbon. She stood at 5'8", and had a perfect hourglass figure. "Ugh, can't believe they let textbook freaks like them onto the show. Thought they'd just stay shoved in lockers. Right Preston?" Katelyn asked her brother, who was sitting right next to her.

Preston had a similar look as his sister obviously, having ivory skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair that was medium length and messy. He was lean and fairly fit, with freckles all over his cheeks. "Yes Katelyn. I don't see why they even consider them to be on the same show as you." Preston agreed immediately.

Katelyn lowered her file, having a satisfied smile from being agreed with yet again. "Of course, they should just hand over the money to me anyway, I don't see how they could beat me." Katelyn added confidently, crossing her arms.

Sharon was sitting on the other side of Katelyn, laughing to herself as she heard all of this from her. She was a tan girl with dirty blonde hair kept underneath a blue skating helmet, and she had an average athletic build while being fairly tall. "You really think you can take on everyone here? Now THAT'S daring! Gotta ask though, you know how to ski? Or snowboard? Gotta know a thing or two if you're gonna win the challenges here probably!" Sharon asked, nudging Katelyn's shoulder.

Katelyn scooted a little away from Sharon, nearly offended by even being touched by Sharon. "Excuse me? What makes you think that all of the challenges are gonna be for junkies like you?" Katelyn asked back, not too keen on every challenge being athletic.

"It just makes sense for those to be challenges, what else are we gonna do at a ski resort? Dress up a model?" Sharon gave her reasoning, letting out another laugh afterwards.

Katelyn stuck her tongue out at Sharon for a moment, then turned to Preston. "We're making sure she doesn't make merge, got it?" she whispered to him, to which he immediately nodded.

Keith was looking around the helicopter, getting just a little bit antsy, tapping his foot repeatedly. He was a pretty muscular guy, being white and standing at 6'0". He had white eyes, and blonde hair tied in a ponytail, as well having a red bandana on.

Cynthia was sitting next to Keith, and she quickly noticed that he was a bit stressed. "Is everything okay, are you afraid of flying?" Cynthia asked him, putting one hand on his knee. She was 6'1", with pale skin and a well-endowed hourglass figure. She had knee length silver hair that was both wavy and messy, with a long side fringe that covered her left eye. She had baby blue eyes, with a bit of silver in the bottom.

Keith nodded, not minding the touch. "Yeah, I'm all good. Just thinking about the last season when Chris blew up the blimp the cast was riding in. You don't think he'd do it again right? Would not be cool at all." Keith answered, stopping his foot tapping.

Cynthia shook her head, patting his knee a couple of times before taking her hand off. "I like to hope that he wouldn't do something like that. Even if he does, we'll all be okay, he wouldn't risk hurting us badly." Cynthia assured Keith, using a soft and almost motherly tone.

Keith chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, my ex told me about it like as soon as she got back, so it's just been floating in my head this whole ride." Keith leaned back a little, trying to get more comfortable.

Foxtrot was looking around the helicopter as well, although he seemed significantly more stressed than Keith had barely been. He was 5'3", being a skinny light tanned guy blue eyes and dyed blonde hair in a combover. He had a blue scarf covering part of his mouth, as well as having dark blue headphones on. He also had a stud piercing on his left eyebrow. "D-Did he just say blow up the helicopter?" he mumbled to himself worriedly.

Raphael was sitting next to Foxtrot, and he shook his head at Foxtrot's mumblings. "Don't worry, he was just talking about last season soldier. Nothing to worry about, it'd be pretty dishonorable for Chris to blow us out of the sky in this environment." Raphael assured Foxtrot, putting a hand on his shoulder. Raphael was the bulkiest member of the cast, standing at 6'5" and having a very muscular build. He was African-Canadian, had a black buzzcut, brown eyes, and a little bit of stubble on his face.

Foxtrot didn't respond to Raphael's words, just getting a blush on his face from having such a big hand on his shoulder. Seeing as how he wasn't talking back, Raphael eventually took his hand back off and considered what he said to be good enough.

Lola was sitting on the other side of Raphael, swinging her legs back and forth aimless as she waited with an excited smile on her face. She was 4'10, had apricot colored skin, and had a slim build with large thighs. She had brown eyes and long blonde hair in a ponytail kept in place by a purple hairband, going through the back of the yellow tennis visor she was wearing. Turning to the Van, who sitting on the other side of her, she right away struck up conversation. "Hiii! So what do you think of this whole thing? I mean, so far that is, we obviously haven't gotten there yet or done anything. I just can't wait!" Lola asked her, full of energy.

Van wasn't expecting to be hit with all that energy at once, but she just looked Lola's way and nodded to her question. She was 5'5", with a slim and petite build. She had chestnut brown skin, hazel eyes, and black hair twisted into dreadlocks that went down to her shoulders. The tips of the locks were bleached blonde as well. She had a septum ring in her nose, and the number 23 tattooed on her wrist. She also had a blue bandana on her head worn like a hairband. "Aight, slow your roll a little. I'm lookin' forward to this, but I gotta see just how Chris is gonna be treating us before I give my take." Van replied, giving a friendly smile back to Lola since she seemed alright.

Lola was fidgeting with her hands, thinking about what Van said. "So off of what Chris does? That's fair, he could have some mean challenges prepared for us after all. He said in the casting call we'd be taken care of well, but who knows if he found a loophole or something to get around that. I'm mostly just here for a vacation, make some friends along the way, that kind of thing you know? What about you?" Lola explained why she was here, talking rather quickly.

Van was able to keep up with what she said though, and held out a fist to bump. "I can vibe with that. I'm mostly here to plug my merch. Ever head of Like Mike before?" Van asked Lola.

Lola shook her head right away while she bumped Van's fist, not recognizing the name in the slightest.

"Ah yeah, you're probs Canadian. Anyway, started the brand down in Mississippi, pretty cool streetwear, pick some up when you can. Getting it on a show like this is a dope way to promote it, plus I can get some money on the side." Van elaborated casually, then put her hands in the pockets of the snow jacket.

Hedrick was sitting at the end of their bench, having an eye on the door that led to the cockpit. Chef had been flying the helicopter this whole time, although it looked like he wasn't there anymore. Hedrick himself stood at 6'5" with an average build, and had long black hair in a ponytail as well as dull blue eyes. He had a black scarf around his mouth as well, completely obscuring it. "Something isn't right..." he said to himself quietly, not wanting to alarm the others like Keith's idea almost did.

Just as he said that though, a loud boom was heard outside of the helicopter. The engine had exploded, and that alarmed most of the teens. "Wait, I know this is supposed to be exciting, but I don't think that's normal!" Sienna shouted, looking out the window to see what was going on.

Mario looked out the window closest to him and saw the smoking engine, as well as seeing how quickly they were descending. "The engine is out! Brace for impact everyone!" Mario yelled, then put his hands on his head and tucked it in.

"You mean there's not parachutes in here!? Oh I am so suing Chris for that! Someone as valuable as me can't be put at risk like that!" Biff cried out, frantically looking around the cabin for a parachute.

Biff got up from his seat and ran to the cockpit, flinging open the door to alert Chef. "Chef! The engine is out! I need a parachute, NOW! I've got all the money you could want, just give me one and I'll slip you some!" Biff right away tried to bribe Chef as soon as he entered.

Chef had his back turned and was still calmly controlling the helicopter as if nothing happened. Van shoved past Biff and poked Chef, although her finger went right through him. As soon as this happened, Chef turned around and began laughing. "Gotcha! I'm the hologram this time! You kids better get comfy in your cabin, 'cuz you sure ain't surviving impact in here!" Chef warned them, then his hologram vanished.

Van ran back to her seat and buckled herself in, and Biff soon did the same. Van was stressed by their rapidly increasing descent toward the mountain plateau, although Biff was actively tearing up in fear. "We're all gonna die!" Biff cried, bringing his knees close to himself.

Raphael buckled himself up and glared at Biff. "Get a hold of yourself soldier! You can't give up hope!" Raphael yelled at Biff, then tucked his head in.

As they got closer to the ground, the angle of the helicopter began to dip, so everyone started to lean over in their seats, but still stayed in place because of their seatbelts. Katelyn handed her nail file to Preston as she tucked her head in, looking up at him for a moment. "Make sure my hair doesn't get messed up by the crash okay?" Katelyn requested. Preston nodded right away, putting a hand on her ponytail to hold it in place during the fall.

There were a couple more panicked screams as the helicopter sped up it's fall, then came the crash. As Chris had said, the padding inside of the cabin was enough to stabilize the cabin and stop serious injury from those that were dislodged from their seats. Sienna couldn't get her seatbelt on, and Grecia was too small for hers, so both of them flew out of their seats and hit the padding on the walls. Preston hit his head on the padding since he didn't brace, and Biff ended up falling out of his seat since he had curled up on it.

After a few moments, Sharon got up from her seat, having a huge smile on her face. "Woooo! Now that was a daredevil moment if I've ever seen one!" Sharon exclaimed, doing a few stretches.

"That was terrifying! I thought we were goners!" Lucas completely disagreed, getting out of his seat slowly.

Mario unbuckled himself and hopped up from his seat, then looked around to make sure everyone was okay. "None of us are goners, what's important is that we're all okay." Mario told Lucas, trying to keep the mood positive.

Ralph nodded in agreement with him. "Of course. It was in the heart of the cards that we made it through that safely." he added.

"I've got a thing or two to say to Chris once we find him, because this is seriously unsafe for the conditions we signed under. It's like he thinks killing us is entertaining." Miriam commented, then swore a little under her breath afterward.

Before they could complain about what just happened any further, the intercom in their cabin turned on and the door to the cabin that led outside opened up. "Welcome to the Pahkitew Mountain Range! You've landed about 3 miles away from the ski resort, just as planned. None of you were in any real danger in here, as this was rigged from the start." Chris informed everyone, which did take some of the worries some had away, while others like Miriam grew more mad at Chris for scaring them like that.

"That clears that up I guess, still a dick move." Van said, still miffed about the scare.

Chris waited a few seconds before talking again. "So, your first challenge begins right now! You'll race to the ski lift that takes you to the ski resort! If you step outside, I'm sure you'll be able to see one of the only buildings for miles here, so you just gotta follow the trail there! I'll see you all when you arrive, have fun!" Chris stated what their first challenge was, then the intercom turned off.

"J-Just like that? We're already going?" Foxtrot said nervously, stepping outside of the helicopter to see just how far away the ski resort was.

Everyone stepped outside to see just how far they would be going, and the less athletic players soon felt a pang of dread for the upcoming trek. "Well troops, we best get a move on then! Onward!" Raphael told everyone, then began to jog down the mountain.

The path to the ski resort was fairly simple, just jog down the hill they were currently on, head through the valley between the hill they were currently on and the hill the ski lift was on, then head up that hill. "You heard the general, let's get going!" Sharon played along with Raphael's military mantra, then jogged after him.

Nearly everyone began to jog as well, taking it seriously since Chris did call it a challenge. "Can anyone carry me there? I'm really not a runner, I'll pay you hundreds if you do!" Biff tried to bargain, although he went mostly ignored as everyone passed him.

Roxanne just shook her head disapprovingly at Biff as she passed by him, while Lucas purposefully bumped into him as he passed by. "Stupid Chris, making us run 3 miles before we've even packed. Who does he think he is?" Miriam complained, obviously hating this.

"That's the fifth complaint so far. I've been counting." Mathias replied, not answering the question at all as he jogged past Miriam.

Grecia watched everyone take off, then turned around to look at the ruined helicopter. "Hmm, perhapth thumthing is thalvagable here..." Grecia pondered, then walked back inside of the cabin instead of joining the others for the run to the ski lift.

Chris was sitting on one of the benches near the ski lift, currently on his phone as he waited. Chef was sitting next to him, reading a magazine. It had been about 10 minutes since the helicopter crashed and the teens started their run, although Chris didn't have any view on the contestants like he did last season. The budget to have a ton of TVs and surveillance on the go like that was gone. "Soooo, how do you think the kids are doing right now?" Chris asked Chef, getting bored of whatever was on his phone.

Chef shrugged, turning the page of his magazine. "They sure got spooked when they found out I was a hologram, but they'll be fine. Not like you care about them." Chef responded, half-calling out Chris.

Chris put his phone in his pocket, growing just a little bit worried. "I do care about them! Just not in the way you think. If there's no cast or something happens, the show flops, and I lose my job. So do you! Not like I actually care about how they feel." Chris defended himself with an annoyed tone.

There was a moment of awkward silence, then Chris spoke again. "So can you just check on the camera in the helicopter again? Really gotta make sure before we end up in another lawsuit." Chris asked quickly, wanting to suppress his worries.

Chef pulled out his own phone that he had been using to transmit the hologram earlier and pulled up the camera, although his eyes widened when he only received static. "Hey uh, Chris, the power supply is gone. I ain't getting a feed." Chef informed Chris, then showed him his phone.

Chris looked at the static and began to panic, putting his hands in his hair. "Oh no... did they even hear my announcement?" a million thoughts ran through his head, all of them leading to horrible outcomes.

"The crash probably crushed the battery, and if that happened, they probably didn't hear ya." Chef stated, just making things worse in Chris's head.

Chris nervously laughed, since there really wasn't anything he could do about this. "This is the only resort around, and this is the only ski lift that leads there. They'll have to find it eventually. We gave them winter gear this time, they'll be fine. Yeah, they'll be fine..." Chris assured himself, trying to calm down.

In the valley of the mountain range, Raphael was far ahead of the other contestants by now, keeping a consistent fast pace as he ran. He was already used to harsh environments, so this challenge was a pretty easy task for him. He looked behind himself for a moment to see if anyone was near him, and he could only faintly see two people far behind him still just barely entering the valley. "Alright, you're leading the pack, keep it up soldier!" Raphael encouraged himself, then looked forward again and made a slight turn to avoid running into a rock.

Those two people behind Raphael were Van and Sharon, keeping a pretty close pace with Sharon just slightly ahead of Van. "3 miles, shouldn't take more than an hour if we're snappy with it." Van commented, not anywhere close to tired yet. They had already ran about half a mile coming down the hill and into the valley, but them being more athletic helped with that.

"Shame there isn't a ton of obstacles on the way there. Chris said this was a challenge, but I'm not seeing the hard part. Booooring! The helicopter crash was more fun than this!" Sharon complained, getting an eyebrow raise from Van.

"You really want more crap thrown at us right now? Girl you're crazy." Van replied, not even beginning to understand wanting more after the crash.

Sharon shrugged, giggling afterward. "Maybe I am, or maybe I just like to have some fun y'know? Life's too short to not throw in some cool actiony moments!" Sharon disagreed, then jumped over a two foot tall rock along the path just for fun.

Way further behind them, Hedrick was jogging by himself, taking in the frigid scenery. His mouth was still covered though, so it was hard to tell what he really thought of it. Lola ran up to him from behind, having been keeping a similar pace as him. "Hiiiii! How are you holding up? What do you think of this so far? I mean, wow, we're all the way in these pretty mountains! Like look over there, that one looks like a pretty big hill! And that one too! Wait, they're all pretty big actually." Lola began to talk his ears off, annoying him.

"I'm fine. Back off." Hedrick told her bluntly, then sped up a bit to get away from her.

Lola was left a bit confused, although Mario soon caught up to her and made her completely lose her train of thought. "Oh hi! What kind of music do you like to listen to?" she asked out of the blue.

Mario wasn't sure what brought this on, but he still answered. "Stuff from the 80s, it gets me pumped. Why do you ask?" Mario asked back, curious what prompted this.

"Shoot... I know this one... uhh... hey do you like spaghetti? My dad doesn't make it often, but I like it when he does. There's this great restaurant near our club that serves it too. Speaking of that restaurant, their breadsticks are to die for, you HAVE to try them!" Lola replied, just leaving Mario with more questions than answers.

"I don't know where that-" he began, but was cut off by Lola once more.

"Hey the clouds look kinda funky today! Don't you think? Like that one looks like a pool noodle. I never really got pool noodles. Like why use them over a floatie? Maybe to whack someone at a pool? But then, why would you do that there?" Lola asked, which got a small groan to come from Mario.

Destiny was jogging by herself not too far behind the two of them, and further behind her was Katelyn and Preston. "Hey Preston, anyone close by us? Really don't feel like falling behind right now." Katelyn asked, starting to get a little tired.

Preston looked back and saw that Lucas was about 20 feet behind them, so he then looked at his sister. "It's just Lucy, I believe that's her name. The emo one." Preston answered, going with the name Lucas told them to use.

"Slow her down then." Katelyn ordered, to which Preston quickly nodded in obedience.

Preston reached down and scooped up some of the snow from the ground, then packed it into a small snowball as they ran. He then quickly turned around and threw it straight at Lucas's face, hitting him and making him fall over. "What the hell was that for!?" Lucas yelled as he sat up from the fall, but didn't get a response as the siblings left him behind.

Cynthia wasn't too far behind Lucas, so she stopped to help him up. "I am sorry that happened, I'll see if I can get them to apologize later." Cynthia told Lucas as she held out a hand for him to take.

Lucas didn't take it though, standing up on his own. "No need for that, I'll talk to them myself. Don't need help like that." Lucas told Cynthia, then began to jog again.

The fall did still hurt his leg a little, so he didn't jog as fast, and thus, Cynthia was able to pass him up. "I'll respect your word, let me know if they keep bothering you." Cynthia told Lucas as she soon began to put distance between the two of them.

Roxanne passed by Lucas soon after, tuning out her surroundings and listen to her techno music at a much louder volume. Ralph was soon catching up to Lucas as well, offering a polite wave as he passed by. "You mustn't slow your pace like this. Or did you play your stamina hand too early?" Ralph advised, slowing his pace to match Lucas's.

"No, some jerk long gone hit me with a snowball, that's what happened. Really not in the mood for fancy talk." Lucas responded, then tried to go back to the pace he was running at before.

"Get used to it!" Miriam called out to Lucas from a bit behind, seeing that Ralph was talking to him.

Now way further behind them, Sienna was already getting plenty tired from this jogging and was starting to walk to try and catch her breath. "I really... need to... do fitness vlogs again..." Sienna panted, with one hand on her back as she walked.

Mathias was walking as well, although he didn't seem tired at all as he caught up to Sienna while fast-walking. "Hmm... there are 17 cracks that lead to the boulder." Mathias observed, having one hand on his chin.

"...what?" Sienna asked, not getting what he was talking about.

"That boulder over there." Mathias pointed to the boulder in question, which was just a bit off the path from where they were, near a couple of trees. "I've been counting the cracks that lead to it, since it falling there probably made all of them. Just felt like counting." Mathias stated, double-counting the cracks now that he was closer.

Sienna blinked a couple of times, not quite getting the point. "Umm... okay? That's cool I guess." Sienna replied awkwardly, watching Mathias now walk off the path and towards the boulder to count up each crack up close.

Back at the ski lift, Chris was growing more antsy with each minute that passed. It had been half an hour now, and he hadn't received word from any of the interns flying over the area in Chris's personal helicopter. In truth, none of the interns felt like doing scouting, so they had merely told Chris they were looking and were using this time to relax. "Chef, maybe we should head down there and start looking for the kids." Chris suggested, running out of things to do on his phone to keep himself from thinking about the trouble they could be in.

"They'll be fine." Chef assured Chris, for what felt like the fiftieth time so far.

More nervous thoughts ran through Chris's head, although they all soon vanished as Raphael reached the top of the hill. "Oh, you're okay!" Chris exclaimed, jumping up from the bench.

Chris realized how relieved he looked though and cleared his throat, going back to his usual hosting smile. "Congrats on making it to the ski lift first! Raphael, you'll be the captain of Team A. Take a seat on the lift while we wait for the next person." Chris congratulated Raphael, then pointed to the bench currently ready to be ridden, which was obviously empty.

Raphael saluted, then jogged right over there. "Yes sir Chris sir!" Raphael replied loudly. He wasn't the slightest bit tired from the three mile run.

5 minutes passed by, and Chris checked his phone to see if it had really been that long or he if he was just getting bored. "Hey Raphael, were the others also coming?" Chris asked the cadet.

Raphael nodded, then put his hands on his hips proudly. "Yes sir! I took it upon myself to take this challenge with the utmost seriousness, so that's why I arrived so far ahead." Raphael answered, then saluted again.

Van was the next person to arrive though, running up the hill and stopping at the top once she saw Chris and Chef. "Chris... you're a rat bastard for pullin' a stunt like that on our first day, you know that?" Van insulted Chris, then put her hands on her knees and crouched a little to catch her breath.

Chris laughed, then pointed to a sign 10 feet away from the one Raphael was standing in front of, marked B. "Yeah, I was expecting that. Van, you're the captain of Team B, so go take a seat with Raphael on the lift so we can get you guys to the resort." Chris ordered, sitting back down on the bench now.

Van walked over to the second seat on the lift bench and sat down, her heavy breaths easily visible due to how cold it was. "No surprise you're here first. I was just playin' for second place there to be honest. Gotta respect someone who can hustle." Van complimented Raphael, now having caught her breath fairly quickly.

Chef started up the lift, and the two of them now began to ascend up the lift track, heading towards the lodge at the top. The next person showed up much quicker than the gap between Raphael and Van, being Sharon. "Hey Chris! Gotta say, wicked stunt you did with that helicopter. You should have seen everyone's faces! It was so exciting!" Sharon greeted Chris excitedly as she now walked over to him.

Chris scratched his head, not expecting a positive reaction from one of the frontrunners. "We caught all the footage from the fall, so we'll get to see soon enough. Sharon, you're on Team A, take a seat on the lift once the next person gets here." Chris told Sharon, who nodded and skipped over to the lift and watched Raphael and Van's bench while she waited for her seat partner.

Hedrick showed up soon enough, just walking now since he was at the end. "Heyyyy Hedrick! What's up dude?" Chris greeted Hedrick, waving at him.

Hedrick sent a glare at Chris, his mouth hiding his angry face. "Gonna take that look and smoldering silence things not being up. Kinda like the helicopter. Anyway, you're on Team B, go join Sharon on the next lift bench that comes by." Chris told Hedrick, gesturing to Sharon standing right by where the benches looped.

"You suck." Hedrick said bluntly, then walked past Chris and sat down next to Sharon on the next bench.

Mario arrived at the top of the hill next, his hands on his ears as Lola was right behind him. "So yeah, that's why I still don't have my driver's license yet. Maybe when I get back I can retake the test! That'd be cool huh? Ooh, then I could go the mall all on my own!" Lola continued to ramble, annoying Mario to no end.

"Hate to cut off the story, but welcome to the ski lift!" Chris greeted them, then pointed to the lift. "Mario, you're on Team A! Lola, Team B! Take a seat on the next ski lift bench so you can head to the lodge." Chris told the two of them.

Mario sighed with relief, lowering his ears. "Grazi, did not want to be on the same team here." Mario thanked Chris as he and Lola walked to the ski lift.

"Aww, we'll be on different teams. We had a really good talk on our run, oh well, we can still be friends!" Lola wasn't at all dismayed, then hugged Mario as they sat down. Mario couldn't do much since he was stuck on the bench with her for now, so he just tried to ignore as they ascended on the track.

Next to arrive at the top of the hill was Katelyn, who had a smirk on her face as she walked up to the lift waiting area. "Other than those lame fitness junkies, I beat everyone here! As usual, I'm simply the best!" Katelyn boasted, putting one palm on her chest.

Chris stifled a laugh at the narcissism, then pointed to the ski lift. "Sure, you did it. Left your brother behind? I thought you'd arrive together. But anyway, just wait for your seat partner that'll probably just be Preston. You're on Team A." Chris kept on eye on the hill, waiting to see who was next.

Katelyn strutted over to where the benches looped around, then leaned against the railing. "As if I left him behind, he just couldn't keep up with me. His fault, not mine." Katelyn replied, even though she still did leave him behind.

Suddenly, the roaring sounds of an engine could be heard from above, prompting the three of them to look up. Grecia was descending to the ground, wearing a jetpack. "How did you-" Chris began ask, but ended up coughing on the smoke that came from the bottom of the jetpack.

Grecia took off the jetpack and handed it to Chef while the other three coughed, having an amused smirk on her face. "Greetings Chris McLean. I must thank you for providing the nethescary parts for the jetpack." Grecia greeted Chris, putting both hands behind her back.

Chris took his hand off his mouth now that the smoke was gone, a little shocked to see her here still. "You weren't lying on your application when you called yourself a prodigy were you? I thought the network was crazy for bringing in a middle schooler." Chris commented, while Preston soon arrived on the hill.

"I thought this show was for teens! What's this pipsqueak doing here then?" Katelyn complained, pointing a finger straight at Grecia.

Grecia held one finger up, now looking at Katelyn. "Technically speaking, a teenager is anyone from the age of 13 to the age of 19. The application didn't phpecify an age range, and being 13, I took the opportunity laid in front of me. Bethides, I am already making progreth on my college credits, I am more than capable of partithipating in this show." Grecia explained, using a very matter-of-factly tone.

Katelyn grumbled to herself and looked to Preston, who looked tired from his run. "So how did you get that jetpack put together then?" Preston asked as he walked up to the group.

"Ith quite simple." Grecia began, turning to face him. "Chris only destroyed the engine on the helicopter, and it crashed headfirst into the ground, thus all the components in the rear were perfectly thalvageable. While something like a fiberglass corthet was not possible to recreate, that was a negligible issue due to the short term use. I took the battery from the helicopter and used it as the primary power source for the jetpack and-" Grecia began to explain what she did, but Chris put a handle on her shoulder.

"Twenty-two minute show, save it for How It's Made. Grecia, you're on Team B! Preston, you're on Team A! Preston, you wait here, Grecia, you and Katelyn can go now." Chris told them, which just bothered Katelyn even more now that she had to sit next to this twerp instead of Preston on the way to the lodge.

Preston wouldn't have to wait for long though, as Destiny reached the top of the hill next. "Hello..." she greeted Chris and Chef, giving one slow wave.

"Destiny! Caught us by surprise after all... that. Anyway, you're on Team B, join Preston on the ski lift to the lodge!" Chris pointed to the lift benches, where Grecia and Katelyn had just begun to ascend on.

Preston gave a slow wave back to the Destiny, and the two of them sat down together on the next available bench and began to ascend right behind the last two. "Nice to meet you, I'm Preston." Preston introduced himself to Destiny, holding his hand out to shake.

"I'm Destiny... nice to meet you too..." Destiny shook his hand, introducing herself as well.

Lucas arrived next at the top of the hill, right before Cynthia. He was frustrated when he looked around and saw that Preston wasn't anywhere in sight. "Where did everyone go? I thought this was where we were meeting!" Lucas asked, stomping the ground.

"I think they're riding the ski lift already." Cynthia answered, pointing to the occupied benches.

Chris nodded to confirm what Cynthia said. "And you would be correct! Lucy, you're on Team A, Cynthia, Team B. Take a seat together, and you'll be on your way!" Chris exclaimed, prompting Lucas to hurriedly walk over to the benches.

"That guy is gonna be in for an earful when I see him..." Lucas grumbled, clenching his fists as he and Cynthia sat down.

Keith arrived at the top of the hill just after they left, carrying Biff over his shoulder. "Crap! Did we miss the ride there?" Keith asked as he set Biff down.

Biff saw the other players riding the lift and made a pouty expression. "That's just not fair. We'll get a seat too right? I have money, I know you sure need it. Slip me a seat and you'll be glad you did." Biff right away tried to bribe without knowing all the details.

Chris sighed, shaking his head at Biff. "No, you didn't miss your ride. I don't do bribes either. You're on Team B, and you're on Team A Keith. Just take a seat on the next lift bench when it comes." Chris told them, resting his head on his palm.

"Oh nice! Had me worried for a sec there! Well then, let's hop on bro!" Keith dragged Biff along with him to the lift, and the two of them soon took a seat and began their ride up.

Miriam soon reached the top of the hill, and her gaze was right on Chris as she arrived. "Chris! You've got a lot of defending you're gonna have to do for the crap you just pulled!" Miriam yelled at Chris as she marched towards him.

Roxanne walked up to the waiting area right behind her, although she just kept her distance and watched Miriam storm up to Chris. Chef stopped Miriam before she reach Chris though, holding a hand to her head and holding her back. "Now now Miriam, nothing bad happened did it? Everything was planned from the start, you just got a little spooked is all. Nothing to get this worked up over!" Chris taunted Miriam from behind Chef, having a smirk on his face.

"You'll be spooked if I get past Chef, that's for sure!" Miriam shouted, although she soon gave up trying to get past Chef and stood up normally.

Roxanne walked up to the group once things started to die down, giving a two finger wave while staying silent. "At least one of you has some class. Miriam, Team A, Roxanne, Team B. Take a seat on the lift, try not to beat anyone up once you get there." Chris told them, getting a scowl from Miriam.

"Try not to make anyone else miserable while wait, k'?" Miriam quipped as she walked past Chris, crossing her arms as she sat down with Roxanne.

Ralph walked up to the ski lift next, not tired in the slightest since he had given up on going fast about halfway through. "Ralph, prince of cards! About time you made it here! You're on Team A, so just wait for the next person to arrive." Chris greeted Ralph, seemingly already having a fondness for him.

"I'm here actually." Foxtrot spoke up, standing right behind Ralph, somehow going unnoticed this whole time.

Chris jumped a little when Foxtrot spoke, also missing him completely. "Woah, now you're a slippery one! Foxtrot, you'll be on Team B. You two can make your way to the ski lift so you can go." Chris told them both.

Foxtrot meekly nodded and did as told, while Ralph brought out his deck of cards and pulled one out. "Hmm... Chris, you got a 10 of spades. This will be an interesting season." Ralph stated vaguely, then followed Foxtrot to the lift bench and sat down with him.

Chris was left wondering what Ralph meant, although Sienna soon arrived before he could think about it more. She was exhausted, collapsing to her knees when she reached the waiting area for the lift. "Made it... not last..." Sienna panted, very out of shape.

Despite Sienna not being the last one to arrive, that last person in question arrived right after. "Hmm... we walked 3 miles to get here. I was counting my steps, and they totaled to 2256. I would have loved to count the other steps, but they all were way too fast. Maybe I'll ask them if they counted." Mathias stated, furrowing his brow as he tried to recount the count of the count of the steps those in front of him had taken before they left him behind.

Chris slow clapped for the two of them, with him and Chef now walking to the ski lift. "At least you two made it here. For a while, I thought none of you would! Sienna, you're on Team A, Mathias, you're on Team B! You can ride on the ski lift together to the lodge, and we'll be right behind you." Chris told the two, letting Mathias and Sienna walk past him and Chef.

Sienna slumped onto the lift bench, getting a creak out of it as she did so, while Mathias tried to fit himself onto the bench. Once the two of them began to ascend, Chris and Chef sat down on the next bench and rode the lift to the resort.

As their lift went along the track, Chris turned to face the camera, smiling right at it. "So that was our cast! Now that they've been thrown into the elements, what lies for them at the lodge? And just how will they handle it? Find out in part 2 of our premiere, on Total Drama Snowscapes!" Chris concluded the episode, raising his arms for emphasis as he stated the name of the show.

Team A: Raphael, Sharon, Mario, Katelyn, Preston, Lucas, Keith, Miriam, Ralph, Sienna

Team B: Van, Hedrick, Lola, Grecia, Destiny, Cynthia, Biff, Roxanne, Foxtrot, Mathias

Hello readers! I don't have a ton to say here, as this is only part one of two, and this was just the introduction episode, but let me know what you think of the cast in the reviews! I tried my best to get everyone right based on the forms, once again a big thanks to everyone who sent in an OC! And to address some of the concerns I saw, Biff will not be winning the season, although I'm sure some of you already assumed that going in. I'll try to have part two out soon!
