Hello everyone, I didn't expect this chapter would come in sooner than the other but I'm happy that I is here and I hope you enjoy…
Disclaimer: I don't own boys over flowers characters
Ji Hoo went to the living room to give Jan Di time to settle in. He offered her a new towel and one of his nightshirts to use. He offered her his bathroom, now that they were married, they were bound to share everything.
He took a look at the paper bag containing Jun Pyo's gift. You are the only one who can think of such a gift.
Ji Hoo smiled at the pink plush doll that resembled Gu Jun Pyo. He decided to call Jun Pyo and ask him to receive his gift at his house. He went to inform Jan Di that she should stay in the room to avoid any confrontations with Jun Pyo since he was on his way when she was done with showering.
Minutes later, Jun Pyo entered the living room and sat on the couch in silence, as if he was nearby. Ji Hoo made tea and offered it to his friend who took a long sip.
…
"I came here because your house is the closest and you called. I can't hang out with Yi Jeong because of our fight in Macau, and Woo Bin's always packed with loud girls."
"What about the punch you threw at me? What are your plans to address this?"
"Uh...all right, then hit me. If I let you hit me, it will be fixed."
'He'll never change,' Ji Hoo lamented. Other matters aside, he was still his friend, even if it didn't take away the pain he felt inside because he had feelings for Jan Di.
"What will become of the marriage?" Ji Hoo inquired as he held his ring on his finger.
"I'm not sure. How can I know or comprehend the old witch's schemes? Engagement my ass! Why did she choose her out of all the girls in the world? Jun Pyo sighed. His tone shifted. "Did you, umm...Did everyone make it back safely?"
"If you're worried about Jan Di, she arrived safely."
"Did I mention I was concerned about her?" It's my birthday, and you haven't given me a present. "Please hurry up and hand it over to me."
Ji Hoo sighed and gave him the gift Jan Di was supposed to give him before heading to the kitchen to make some pancakes for himself and Jan Di in case she felt like eating. He couldn't help but wonder how Jan Di would feel sleeping next to her as he prepared.
Jun Pyo yelled when he saw the ring. "Ji Hoo-yah?" he asks. Did you get married or what? Why do you have that ring on your finger?
Ji Hoo only looked at his friend while frying pancakes. Jun Pyo was about to leave when he thought he saw someone in Ji Hoo's bedroom and decided to check it out, but no one was there, so he left.
Ji Hoo went to the bedroom after Jun Pyo had left and found Jan Di sitting there in his office, he was reading a book and didn't notice that he was standing next to her. He knelt beside her, took his hand to her hair, and began stroking it. It was only then that she realized he was there. "Jun Pyo, he's gone," he was afraid to say his name.
Jan Di averted her gaze and inquired, "What was he saying?"
"I just called him over to take the gift you had prepared for him," he grinned, recalling the plush toy "Ohhh" Jan Di seemed unimpressed "Are you hungry or should we go to bed?"
"I am not hungry, but I am tired." Ji Hoo led Jan Di to his room and told him he needed to rest would accept the couch. Jan Di refused and asked to share the bed, despite the fact that it was large enough.
Ji Hoo entered the bed but left a space between them. They looked up at the ceiling, slightly uneasy, but didn't say anything. This was her first time sharing a bed with a man.
After a few minutes, Ji Hoo gently rubbed Jan Di's shoulder to make her feel more at ease. The surprising thing was that she didn't pull away like she usually did. When he tried to touch her when Jun Pyo wasn't around, she would lean in and then pull away, but after returning from Macao, everything seemed to be different. Now here he was caressing her and turned to his side to face her, she also turned and moved closer to her.
He started to draw circles in her back.
Ji Hoo felt pleased and raised another hand to her head. She came closer and he put her head to his chest. She shivered as he continued caressing her. "Sunbae…"
"Jan Di-ah, you're safe with me" he cut her off "you don't have be scared. In this world, I desire to see you happy. just relax and rest well." Ji Hoo didn't know why the words came out freely but couldn't help it. He felt Jan Di nod and slowly put her hands around his waist. Ji Hoo continued to stroke her back and stroke her hair until she was at ease.
Minutes later, Jan Di began to doze off because she was relaxed; she raised her head to look at Ji Hoo, who was also nodding off; "Gomawo Ji Hoo Sunbae," she said; Ji Hoo smiled and placed a burning kiss on her brow and asked her to sleep. Ji Hoo slept with a smile on his face, wishing for time to stop and stay there forever.
Next morning…
He awoke alone in his bed the next morning. He wasn't sure if Jan Di had left, but the pleasant aroma compelled him to get out of bed. Jan Di was not to be found. He sighed and went to the restroom to do his morning business. He came out fully clothed to find his breakfast prepared and covered with a note from Jan Di that said. "Sunbae, I didn't have my uniform and I had school, so I made breakfast and left. Many thanks for last night "Ji Hoo lifted the cloth to see what Jan Di had prepared for him, which included his favorite pancakes, fried eggs, and sausages with fruit salads. It brought a smile to his face. He also found coffee and orange juice with Ginger syrup in it.
Ji Hoo set his face with a wide grin and shoved his food into his mouth. He was fortunate that his lectures were not in the morning, but rather in the afternoon.
Jan Di had skipped class in order to see Harabeoji and assist him at the clinic. She thought she saw Jun Pyo as she passed by the pool's entrance, but why would he want to talk to a stain, as he had referred to her in Macau? She kept walking, but her heart was telling her to turn around.
Jun Pyo stalked Jan Di like a lost puppy. When Jan Di came to a halt, he also came to a halt. Jan Di's curiosity got the better of her, and she turned around. "What is it? Do you want to say something?" Jan Di's voice was even colder than it had been.
He flinched, but ignored the chill and summoned the courage to speak up. "Hey, commoner, why aren't you swimming?"
"That's none of your business," Jan Di said sharply. "Did you follow me to ask that or do you have something else to say?" he asks.
"I don't like being misunderstood, so I'd like to clarify the situation."
"Exactly what situation?" She was losing patience with him and wanted to get away from him.
"The engagement, or whatever you want to call it...that has nothing to do with me."
"Or with me," she chuckled. "Goo Jun Pyo, when did you become so generous as to offer an explanation for a stain you wish to remove from your life?" She said it in the iciest tone she could muster and turned around to see his fiancée, to whom she waved.
"Oh, look who we've got here. Your bridesmaid "she said sarcastically, turning around and walking away. However, it did not end there. Gu Jun Pyo was following her as if he had something to say, and she happened to run into her Sunbae.
"Sunbae! "Could you please give me a ride?"
Ji Hoo was well aware that Jan Di required his assistance. He hadn't seen her since the previous night. As Jun Pyo gave him a dirty look, he nodded and handed her the helmet that was now hers.
Ha Jae Kyung ran towards them, a wide smile on his face.
"Seeing you two together, it appears to be fate. Jan Di and Jun Pyo appear to be close." Jae Kyung's grin broadened. and all of a sudden her attention was drawn to someone she didn't recognize.
"Oh, this person...?"
"His name is Ji Hoo Sunbae," Jan Di explained.
"Why are you introducing my friend, Laundry girl?" Jun Pyo remarked arrogantly before continuing. "Hey monkey, this is Yoon Ji Hoo, my friend," she smiled and bowed to him, and he did the same, but Ha Jae Kyung kept staring at him.
" Do you like him?" "At the very least, you have good taste."
"Jan Di-yah, is this the man you like? I saw him with you at the party, and you two seem to like each other."
What? Jan Di was flushed.
This busy body drew the attention of the three of them.
"Since the Four of Us are friends with Gu Jun Pyo, we can go on a double date"
"No," they all yelled in response to her request. "Why not?" she asked, pouting.
"Jae Kyung Unnie, I have a lot of things to do so I can't go with you but I'm sure Jun Pyo would love to go, right Sunbae?" said Jan Di this time.
Ji Hoo nodded and turned to Jan Di, saying, "It's getting late, I'll take you home." Jan Di climbed onto his back, wrapped her arms around him, and walked away, leaving Jun Pyo staring at how Jan Di had wrapped her arms around his stomach and held him tightly. What enraged Jun Pyo, even more, was his monkey's remark.
"What a lovely couple they make!" she exclaimed, dreamily...
Ji Hoo and Jan Di picked up where left off. He asked if she wanted to go home, but she declined and requested to be taken to a clinic. He parked outside the small building, which appeared to be more for people without money seeking special needs.
"So you're employed here?
"Sunbae, don't tease me," Ji Hoo said, raising one of his brows with a smirk on his face. I'm a volunteer here, doing some cleaning and assisting the doctor with patients. Actually, I feel at ease when I'm here," she said as she handed him the helmet. "In any case, thanks for the ride." She bowed and turned to leave, but before she could...
"I'm also a good cleaner." Ji Hoo smiled, and Jan Di smiled back, inviting him in.
The atmosphere was lively, with elderly and children mingling. Ji Hoo observed who was attending to patients and came into contact with an elderly man who resembled his grandfather.
The old man also noticed Ji Hoo staring at him and then.
"Are you Ji Hoo-ah?"
'Harabeoji?'
"Ji Hoo!" he exclaimed again, but he had already left.
Jan Di emerged from the tea room during the commotion to find her sunbae running out of the clinic and the doctor calling him with pain in his eyes and voice.
"What is it, Harabeoji?" she rushed to his side. "Do you happen to know Ji Hoo sunbae?"
"He's...that boy...my grandson."
"What?!"
Jan Di had heard about his parents' deaths but had never heard that his grandfather was still alive. Why would he not be? Of course, if he died, the entire country would have been informed. Jan Di assisted Harabeoji in returning to his chair from the floor. "You're officially my granddaughter now," he said as he looked at her. It surprised her that the old man knew she was his grandson's wife.
"How did you know?" she inquired. "Look after him...but for the time being, please leave me alone." She offered him tea and left the office as he had requested.
She asked the patients to leave their names saying that the doctor was not feeling well and they should return the next day.
Next day…
Jan Di couldn't get Harabeoji and, more importantly, Ji Hoo out of her head. She had gone to his house last night to see if he was there, but the maid informed her that he was not. She'd told him about his trip to see his parents.
Jan Di had learned from her master that the grumpy old man was the grandfather of President Yoon Seok Young and Ji Hoo. "It's no surprise..."
"What exactly are you saying, Jan Di-ah?" Is there anything else you'd like to tell me?" Ga Eul inquired. She was about to open her mouth to reveal that she was now married to none other than Yoon Ji Hoo. It hurt to lie to her friend, but Ga Eul could also gossip and open her mouth to tell So Yi Jeong.
"Jan Di-ah, you must assist them," master said. He appeared to have known she was already married to Ji Hoo based on the way he looked at Ga Eul and at her.
Because her grandfather was now a member of her family, she needed to assist them in making things right, but the problem was that she didn't know the entire story, to begin with.
Maybe I'll ask Harabeoji...
"Ga Eul, I have to go," Jan Di rushed out of the porridge shop, hoping to find him there.
Jan Di sat on her bed, contemplating what her grandfather had said to her. It was unfortunate, but they needed to clear this up. When her best friend Ga Eul called, she was still thinking.
"I have a date with Yi Jeong Sunbae," Ga Eul exclaimed excitedly.
"Are you crazy?" Jan Di inquired, her voice trembling. She was concerned that Ga Eul would become a victim.
"No! Yi Jeong sunbae promised to pick me up early in the morning. I need to get ready. "Jan Di-ah, sleep well," she said as she hung up the phone.
Jan Di dialed Ji Hoo's number, but it went unanswered. He hadn't contacted her in two days, despite the fact that he had left.
Sunbae, are you hurt!? She was curious about touching her chest.
Ji Hoo sat on his parents' graves. He hasn't been able to sleep, and the nightmares return every time he closes his eyes. While he sat on the pavements watching his parents die, the car burst into flames. This was the most painful memory he could recall.
"Abeoji, Omma...
"What should I do?" he wondered. Tears streamed from his eyes on a regular basis. He was lonely and desperate.
"Wait a minute. Grandfather...doesn't he despise me? "The people I care about have abandoned me one by one," he sniffled, wiping away his tears. "I have never asked for anything... "However, Jan Di-ah, I adore her with all my heart."
Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo had formed an alliance to spy on Yi Jeong. She disguised herself from her friend by wearing glasses and a hut. But it was obvious that they had already noticed her, but they pretended not to notice.
They followed the couple for a while as Jun Pyo made stupid remarks that she couldn't stand. "Oh...Geum Jan Di, I have something for you," he said to her during a break.
"What is it?" she inquired, unconcerned.
"Your necklace..." he tried to hold her hand, but she pushed him away, ruining the moment. She didn't realize she'd gotten everyone's attention.
"I thought I told you I didn't want it," she screamed at him as she tossed the necklace away to God knows where. "You think that because we're working together, you'd hand it over again and pretend nothing happened..."
"That's yours, Jan Di-ah..." Yi Jeong said this, but it drew a glare from her.
"I should have known you were acting," she said to her best friend, a look of guilt on her face. She opened her mouth to say sorry, but... "You're the worst," she said as she walked away.
"Everything was fine before, but now it's pointless," Yi Jeong explained. "Gu Jun Pyo..." he sighed and walked away, leaving him speechless.
Jan Di exited the restaurant. She wandered aimlessly and ended up on a small river she had never seen before. She longed to swim and wondered if she would ever be able to do so again. She walked back into town after what seemed like hours to avoid any dangers.
When she walked into the dark clinic, it appeared that Grandfather had not arrived for work. She needed to clean, but the sound of her ringtone kept her from starting. It had to be her sunbae.
After two days, he made the decision to call "Sunbae...You finally called?" she asked.
"I'm sorry, Jan Di-ah, may I speak with you?" He appeared desperate. "Where have you gone?"
"Oh...I'm at home," she lied,
Something in her voice told him she wasn't being sincere. He drove to the location where he knew he could find her, and she was cleaning. He stood at the door for a few moments, watching her clean but saying nothing.
Her movement told him everything he needed to know. She was in pain, and he was nowhere to be found when she needed him. "Sunbae," she murmured as he entered and stood in front of her.
"Has this place become your home, Yoon Jan Di?" When he looked into her eyes, he saw that she was in pain, and he wondered why
Did she run into Gu Jun Pyo or Madam Kang?
"I…I couldn't concentrate and thought coming here would help me relax," her voice was shaky and her gaze was fixed on the floor. Ji Hoo was well-versed in her demeanor by this point. He had come to observe her, and she had gotten to the point where he could tell when she was hurt or lying without saying anything.
She resumed mopping, but Ji Hoo blocked her path once more. They did this three times until he couldn't take it any longer. She pretended to be strong, but her husband didn't want her to act that way; he wanted her to be herself and share her problems with him. Ji Hoo took the mop from her after the fourth attempt. Jan Di finally looked at him, for a split second before crying. He let go of the mop and opened his arm. Jan Di let herself be held in her husband's arms without hesitation. Ji Hoo buried her in his chest and she burst into tears. He had no idea what was causing her to cry, but he knew it had something to do with Gu Jun Pyo.
"Whoever hurt you will pay for it," he muttered as he pressed his lips against her ear. He kissed her head several times as he stroked her back. Her sobs subsided, but she wasn't ready to leave his chest.
Ji Hoo brought her at arm's length and examined her stained face. He took her hands in his and wiped the tears away from her cheeks.
Ji Hoo's lips were suddenly on her brow. He couldn't help but feel sad when he saw his beautiful wife in pain because of someone. He wanted to relieve her pain but didn't know how if she didn't tell him. "Let's get you home," he said as he drew back.
She gave a nod.
"Jan Di-ah, let me be your home"
What?
That was it…
I never imagined this would be interesting to write.
