When an badly-injured American spy drifts into the lagoon on a Russian boat, the castaways are intrigued, and hopeful that this mysterious stranger may be the key to their rescue. Unfortunately, there's a catch: he can only arrange their rescue after completing his last mission, and he's going to need help to do that.

Feeling disillusioned from being on the island too long combined with a news report heard on the radio, the castaways decide to turn the island into a more city-like environment, each getting a position solely based on the city of New York and what they are qualified to do. To Gilligan, this may be easier said than done, especially when it's revealed whom he'll be bunking with.

The Professor wants to track down an elusive species of cicada. Ginger is the only one who shows an interest in his entomological expedition, so the two set off for the other side of the island together. (He's totally only excited because of the scientific implications of observing such a species, and she's certainly only along because she's just such a good friend.)

With the intent to set sail on the professor's latest invention to get them off the island, they decide to throw a party. Along the way, Gilligan and Mr. Howell cross paths only for the millionaire to get the short end of the stick! Will they make it home after all?

Set in Episode about mind reading Sunflower Seeds. Gilligan burns them in hopes to save his friends but they punish him by going to look for more. But when a storm hits, they all begin to feel bad. The Professor and Mary Ann struggle to come up with the perfect gifts to celebrate their first Christmas as a couple.

(Set around The Castaways) A couple of years after her failed wedding to Herbert, Mary Ann feels pressured into a visit home. Thinking the trip might be easier with an escort, she asks the Professor to accompany her.

The Professor and Mary Ann mutually agree that they have some sort of feelings towards each other, yet they've never confirmed it verbally. Now, a close friend of the Professor's, Rose Henderson, may be in the way of their unfolding love story.
