This story is based on the book "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S. Beagle. It is not about "the" unicorn. I was just wondering, how the other unicorns had been caught, and this is my version.

A short prose poem, or flash fiction piece. Focusing on Lir and his thoughts and how lost he is within them. And how he's a hero. Or at least he thinks he was. Or maybe he still is?

Inside her, Amalthea festers.

Molly finds herself stripped of the benefit of benign magic, stuck with a strange man, in a stranger house. Yeah... life is many things, and fair isn't one of them, especially when dealing with immortals.

It was a time that happened only because the magician turned her into a human, into a mortal. Yet,now, he still could not forget her. But what was the point? An immortal couldn't love, and Lir could remember all he wanted, but nothing would change.

Amalthea and Lir only had one night together in Hagard's castle. But one night was enough. After she was transformed back into a Unicorn, Amalthea went back to her kind, the only Unicorn to have known regret and love...Kinda a cross between movie and book

Just a random thought of a 17yr old girl scribbled onto page. Not exactly poetry, but I did try pouring my soul onto paper.Wrote it in approx 7mins, so please do correct any visible mistakes, would so appreciate it.
