Set immediately following the end of 'The Picts and the Martyrs'. Continuing that book's farcical tone, the characters are all thrown together and the scene is set for a showdown. This story was first published in Arthur Ransome Club journal '1929' vol 29, 22 November 1997 and is republished here with minor changes, mostly correcting Prof Callum's name to Louis (after Leakey).

A would-be jouralist interviews the fanfictional Swallows and Amazons in a fanfictional version of the "BookWorld" from the Thursday Next books by Jasper Fforde. Doesn't exactly contain characters by Jasper Fforde, although Mrs Tiggywinkle does appear as a Jurisfiction agent and therefore mostly as the Jasper Fforde version of herself. Posted for April Fools' Day.

Set in September 1944. At a small, quiet wartime wedding, somewhere in the south-east of England, Susan is concerned. A Peggy-centric story in which Peggy doesn't say that much.

This is a reply to Trade Wind, by Strange Brew. I just wondered what Peggy was thinking about it all. This fic assumes that PD happened; see it as AU if you prefer. Given the fic it's based on you won't be surprised to hear there are hints of same-sex attraction. Strange Brew, I know this doesn't match up to your one but I hope you (and others) enjoy it anyway.

Set immediately after Swallowdale. The Swallows and Amazons enjoy the rest of their holidays without interferernce from the Great Aunt. Bridget Walker makes a friend and a war is planned.

Set during the 'alternate reality' of 'Peter Duck'. Susan is rather enjoying being non-Susan-ish for once. Some slight implied same-sex attraction. If that don't float your boat, don't read.

A couple of letters and little more. Set in the term after Pigeon Post. Nancy's in trouble. John is getting rather het up.

Starts just after Secret Water. The first two chapters are mainly letters but after that normal narrative resumes. Most of the action takes place just after Christmas in the fictious hamlet of Kirby Green, not too far from Shotley where the Walkers are renting a house, and the Blacketts come to stay with them for a week.

In wartime Britain two young people are getting married.

After the discovery of the danger the Able Seamen had been with their exploration into the Old Level, Nancy and John reflect.

How might our favourite characters appear to other visitors to the lake? Set immediately after "Picts and Martyrs". This would have been crossover with Diary of a Provincial Lady, but there is no category for it. The characters were created by E.M. Delafield and Arthur Ransome. I think it is obvious which character was created by whom. Just a little piece of friviolity.

A festive drabble to bring tidings of comfort, joy and romance between two brave captains one wintery afternoon. Rated T, because can you imagine a kiss from Nancy being any less steamy?

On a clear cool night in the Hebrides, Nancy watches over a sleeping Sea Bear.

These events take place in spring and summer 1938. This is a Swallows and Amazons adventure, so although Lord Peter Wimsey has a brief cameo in one of the final chapters not posted as a cross-over. Rated T for peril, some violence, sadness, scariness, Nazi Germany impeding war and romance and deaths of characters you have never met.

The Swallows and Amazons - and some others - look back on what they've done, and look forward to the future.
