Chapter 3
Arrival in Pallet Town
Three days had passed since the group started to make the trek back to Pallet Town.
Ash, in that time learned play rough from Ursaring and Psyshock from Mewtwo, the move is basically just using psychic but in bursts.
Mewtwo had also gained an interest in becoming a trainer, he liked the idea of Gym Battles and the Pokémon League, but he would have to wait until he and the rest of the group arrive in Pallet Town to register.
But right now Ash is trying to use transform again, with some success as he was able to glow for a moment before the light disappeared again.
"Aww, so close." Ash said after another failed attempt.
"Just keep at it, you'll get it eventually." Ursaring reassured the Mew.
{A Few Hours Later}
"We're almost in Pallet, not to far now." Ursaring said as he went up the crest of a hill.
"Thank Arceus, I can sleep in a bed again."
'I don't know what a bed is, but it sounds, comfortable.'
{Pallet Town}
Delia made her way to Oak's lab for the third time this week, still feeling depressed that her son went missing and that the police haven't found any trace of him anywhere.
She walked up the stairs leading up to the lab, rang the doorbell and waited.
After a few moments Professor Oak opened the door.
"Ah hello Delia, come in, come in." Oak greeted Delia.
"Any new news Samuel?"
"The police found tire marks on Route 1, but are unsure if they are tied to Ash's disappearance or not."
Delia sighed and said "Still, that's better than nothing. Thanks Samuel."
"Anytime Delia."
Delia made her way back to her house, when she reached it she sighed and opened the door.
She walked over to the kitchen and made a cup of tea for herself, sat down on the couch in the living room and slowly drank the tea.
{Outside Ash's House}
Ash was nervous, very nervous. He'd been nervous ever since they arrived at the outskirts of Pallet Town, but he still had to do it, he had to tell his mom.
Ash knocked on the door to his house and waited for an answer.
"Yes. Who is it?" Ash heard his mom say from inside the house.
The door then opened.
Delia was shocked at what she saw, one of the rarest Pokémon in the entire world was standing right in front of her.
"Hey mom. Sorry for making you worry, but I'm back." The Mew talked, talked! In Ash's voice no less!
She blinked and rubbed her eyes, checking to see if this was some kind of hallucinations, when it wasn't she dropped to her knees and cried.
Ash was worried, did he do something wrong.
His answer came when Delia brought him in for a hug.
"Ash you came back. I-I was so worried about you." Delia said still crying.
They then separated and Delia asked Ash what exactly happened during his 3 day disappearance.
Ash suggested they call the professor and inform him as well.
Delia agreed and dialed Oak's number into the telephone.
Oak wasn't expecting Delia to call, but she did say she had some good news, so Oak made his way to Delia's house.
When he arrived he knocked on the door and a Pokémon he's never seen before opened said door. The Pokémon was human sized, had cat like features, and was floating.
"Oh Samuel, you came." Oak heard Delia call from the kitchen.
Delia then walked over wiping her hands with a towel.
"Delia, who's this?"
"Oh him, he's Mewtwo."
"Mewtwo? Nevermind. What was it you wanted to talk about?"
"Ash is back."
Oak blinked, not immediately understanding what Delia said. "Can you repeat?"
"I said, Ash is back."
Oak's jaw dropped. "What?! H-How, But..." He stopped himself from continuing seeing that he could barely get a sentence out.
"So where is he now?"
Delia pointed to the kitchen and giggled as Oak made his way to it.
Oak made a passing glance at the outdoor garden before continuing his way into the kitchen, observing a rather big Ursaring conversing with Mewtwo. He decided to ask questions later.
When he finally made it to the kitchen, he was surprised instead of Ash there was a Mew sitting in a chair way too big for its size.
When the Mew's eyes locked with Oak's the Pokémon floated up to the Professor and did the most unbelievable thing he'd ever witness a Pokémon do, speak English.
"Hey Professor, you should've seen the look on your face when you saw me." The Mew said in Ash's voice.
"What in the name of Arceus happened to you?!" Samuel screamed, causing Ash to cover, or attempt to cover his ears.
"That's what me and mom wanted you for, so I could explain and not have to repeat myself."
Ash explained the kidnapping and the people who did to, the experiment that turned him into a Mew, and the trek back to Pallet Town.
Oak and Delia were shocked, Team Rocket was involved in this? They had to notify the authorities immediately and Oak did grabbing a flip phone from his lab coat pocket and dialing in a number, he made his way to the outside as the flip phone rang.
After the call was done Oak went back inside and walked up to Ash and asked him what he was going to do now he was a Pokémon.
"I still want to be a trainer, I want to see the world and meet tons of Pokémon, and become a Pokémon master." Ash's answer was straight to the point, Oak liked that in Ash.
"Ash, then how are you going to go about traveling, you're currently a very rare Pokémon. Maybe someone would try and capture." Ash immediately flinched back and Oak laughed seeing that his teasing worked somewhat.
"I have a Ditto that could help you with transforming, it may not all that useful seeing as you're an entirety different species, but it should give you a basic idea of how it works." Ash nodded, seeing the logic behind Oak's words
Oak quickly made his way back to his lab, Ash in tow. And Delia and the other Pokémon he'd seen following closely behind.
They soon made it to the lab in record time, Oak was barely even tired, which was kind off strange, but he chalked it up to adrenaline.
When they entered the lab Oak noticed that Gary was up, yawning as he came downstairs.
"Morning Gramps."
"Gary, it's nearly lunch."
That didn't seem to change anything, as Gary went into the kitchen area of the lab and grabbed some cereal from the cupboard and moomoo milk from the fridge.
Gary yawned again, not noticing Ursaring, Delia, and Mewtwo enter the lab.
Ursaring stared at the pre teen and asked Ash. "Is he always like this?"
"Sometimes." Ash answered.
Gary, with his bowl of cereal. Went over to Oak to ask for something.
"Hey gramps, where's the keys. I need to go grocery shopping."
It was then Gary noticed Mewtwo.
"What in the name of Sinnoh is that?!"
"It's Mewtwo, Gary." Ash said, causing the pre teen to drop his bowl, thankfully it made of plastic instead of glass.
"Ash? What the heck happened to you? You're a Mew."
"Yeah I know, long story short I got kidnapped by Team Rocket and experimented on, the result you see here." As Ash said that last part he pointed to himself.
Gary stormed of to his room, swearing to Arceus that once he's a officially a trainer he's going to absolutely destroy the organization.
Everyone sweat dropped at some of the stuff Gary had said.
"That was certainly... something." Oak said after a few minutes of silence.
"Well Ash my boy." Oak said as he grabbed a Poké Ball from his desk. "Here's my Ditto." The opened revealing, a Vulpix?
"Huh, I was certain I grabbed the right Poké Ball?" The Vulpix then snickered and transformed into a Ditto.
"Got you again Sammy." The Ditto said, snickering.
The Ditto then noticed the Mew looking at them. It grabbed Oak and pointed at Ash.
"Uh, Professor? Why is your Ditto doing that?" Ash asked.
"I should be the one asking you my boy. I have no idea."
Ditto just stood there in shock, did a Mew just speak straight English, how? They weren't even using telepathy, and why did the voice sound so familiar.
"Well Ditto, this here is Ash. You probably remember him, right?" Oak pointed at Mew.
'Ash? Wasn't he a human before?' Ditto thought to itself, but then tried something.
"Hey, Mew can you understand me." Ash nodded in response.
"Great, so... are you really the same kid from the summer camp four years ago?" Another nod.
Ditto then looked at Oak and asked. "So, Sammy why did you bring me here anyway?"
Oak blinked and looked at Ash, who realized he had to be the translator.
"Ditto's asking why did you bring them here." He translated.
"Well Ditto, I want you to help Ash with transform. So he won't be taken the second he's spotted."
"Yeah sure, I don't know how much I can actually teach you but I'll give it a shot."
