Victini: So... am I officially in on this?
v0rt3x: Only because you found out and we can't get Uxie to erase your memories due to "consequences" just behave and don't tell anyone else, okay?
Victini: I will do my best, La-*muffles*
v0rt3x: Nope!

Ho-oh and Marshadow.
"Why did it have to rain." Grumbled Charmander as he ate a very late lunch.
"It's not to bad, I mean we have shelter." Pikachu points around to the tent that keeps the rain out of their fur, feathers, or scales.
"Still, it's been hours, and it hasn't stopped."
"Yeah, it's a bit weird. But moves like rain dance and sunny day can sometimes cause strange weather to pop up wherever." Ash chimes in from the outside of the tent, taking the form of a Mew as he walks in as to not take up the entirety of the tent.
"Okay, you have a point. But it's still annoying." Charmander said in a huff.
"Actually, Ash. Do you have sunny day?" Pikachu asks getting a few hopeful glances from the other Pokémon present in the tent.
"Nope I don't, sorry."
The hopeful Pokémon then slumped, and went back to talking among themselves.
Another hour passes and the storm only got worse. The winds picked up, fast, carrying with them a few unlucky Caterpie and Ratata.
"It's been hours, it still hasn't stopped." Charmander said, looking out of the clear part of the tent.
"It could last an entire night, maybe more. It kinda just depends." Ash says from the far corner of the tent, still a Mew, playing with a glowing bone in his hands.
"Huh, when did you figure out bone rush?" Pikachu asks from his side of the tent.
"Read about the move in the Professor's lab, he even had a few books on Aura, Rota's history, and..." he pulls out his Pokédex and scrolls down the known Pokémon list, stopping at Riolu's entry. "He even has a complete entry on the Lucario line."
"Huh? Cool. Hey here's an idea, maybe you could learn how to use Aura, like really use it. It would be a neat skill, plus if I recall correctly, detect and aura sphere are loosely tied to it." Charmander provides. "And you've already got bone rush, that's a very good starting point."
Ash contemplates this for a moment, before smiling and nodding in agreement.
The storm then ends shortly after the conversation, a rainbow forming in the blue sky. Ash holds up the Pokédex to take a picture, but a silhouette appears in the picture.
He tries to get a better look at the unidentified Pokémon, only to see it burst into flames and be surrounded by a brilliant golden light.
A feather drops from the Pokémon, still glowing. Ash runs toward the fallen feather. Charmander and Pikachu follow closely behind.
Once the three mons reach the feather, it's no longer golden, instead it's a mix of colors changing colors when the wind blows it up into the air.
Ash grabs the feather, which glowed even brighter in Ash's paws.
The golden Pokémon then turned to meet them, landing gracefully on dirt path in front of Ash, Pikachu, and Charmander.
They slowly approached the Pokémon, it's golden glow slowly fading as they get closer.
Once the three mons are only a few feet away from the Pokémon the glow completely vanishes, revealing Ho-oh.
"Hello there." Ho-oh says greeting the, still, stunned, Pokémon in front of her. "Can you tell me your names?"
"I'm Ash Ketchum, ma'am."
"I'm Pikachu."
"I'm Charmander."
"Nice to meet you all. Now, Ash. What you hold in your paws now is one of my feathers, it marks you as my chosen. Take this feather to Mt. Tensei, there you will fight for the right to capture me and if you succeed I can accompany you on your future travels." She informs Ash, who is still very shocked at the fact he has seen a legendary Pokémon on the first day of his journey.
"Oh, and Marshadow."
A small human-like ghost rises from Ho-oh shadow looks at her waiting for her to continue.
"Don't do anything stupid."
Ho-oh then leaves, flying in the direction of Johto.
Marshadow does a semi-circle wave gaining the attention of Ash, Pikachu, and Charmander.
"Hello, I'm Marshadow. Nice to meet you, I'll be your guide to Mt. Tensei." Marshadow said it like he'd given this introduction hundreds of times.
"Great to have you." Ash floated down for a hand shake. Marshadow happily shook the Mew's hand.
"We should probably go wake up the other." Pikachu said once he recovered from today's event.
"Wow, so you guys actually met Ho-oh? That's so cool!" Elaine said, as the group continued down Route 1.
"Yeah. She looked so majestic and powerful, it was awesome..." Charmander said to the Eevee.
'Did you take a picture, Ash?' Mewtwo asked.
Ash pulled out his Pokédex from his bag and showed the picture he took of Ho-oh with the rainbow behind her.
He then looked at the picture himself and said. "You think the Professor will be happy if we sent him this?"
He got a nod from Mewtwo.
A few more minutes later, the group of mons finally reach the outskirts of Viridian City.
Marshadow was hiding in Ash's shadow, a skill that Ash really wanted to learn. Mewtwo was in his Riolu disguise, though this was true for most of their trip through Route 1.
The group continued on making it to a police checkpoint just outside the main road of Viridian City.
"Hey, kid! Stop!" Called officer Jenny from behind the police checkpoint.
"Oh, Ash, Didn't realize it was you." Jenny said getting a better look at Ash. "So finally starting, eh?"
Ash nodded happily.
"Great, now I just need identification. I may know you, but it's just standard procedure." Ash handed Jenny his trainer card.
Jenny then scanned it with a mini card reader that was attached to her belt.
"Alright everything checks out." Jenny says handing Ash his trainer card back.
She stops, suddenly noticing a Riolu also hand a trainer card to her. She takes the card from the Riolu's waiting paws and scans it to see if it's valid. Once she checked it, she opened her mouth to ask something, but refrained from doing so.
"You have weird friends Ash." Jenny said as she lets the group through.
"Looks like I owe my cousin 500 Poké." She said to herself, taking out a few 100 Pokédollar bills from her wallet and placing them into an envelope.
After a short walk down the main road of Viridian City the group find themselves outside of a pastry shop selling Alolan malasadas. The group decided to check it out and maybe buy some treats for the others.
"Welcome to Kira Pastries. How may I help you?" Said the person behind the counter, an Alolan Raichu at their side that was holding a notepad.
"Oh, I'm just looking around for now." Ash explained.
"Well, we have a wide selection to choose from that ranging from sweet to bitter, if your Pokémon like that."
"Ash, Ash! I want this one!" Elaine said, pointing a paw at a honey coated, sweet malasada.
"This one?"
"Yes, this one." Elaine said with a series of nods.
"Anyone else want one?" Ash asked the Pokémon present. All of them had their paw or claw at the malasada they wanted.
Once the group of mons found a bench they could sit on they started to dig into the malasadas they bought.
"Hey uhm, sir?" Ash looked up to see a small kid a few years younger than him, looking curiously at his Pokémon.
"Yes, can I help you?" Ash asked.
"I just wanted to ask. is that Riolu yours?"
"Uhm, no. He's not, he's actually a registered trainer." Ash answered and pointed at one of the Charmander on the grass. "His starters over there."
"Oh, so he's like those Zorua in Sinnoh then?"
"Yes." Ash answered with a nod.
The kid then left shortly after.
{Viridian City Pokémon Center}
"Alright let's try this again." Ash threw a rock into the air. "Pikachu, thunderbolt!"
Upon contact the rock shattered into a million pieces.
"Well that worked, what should we call it?"
"Maybe we should run the technique by the Professor before coming up with a name."
"Okay sure."
Once the two were back inside the room they rented out in the Pokémon Center, Elaine quickly came running at the two, rapidly asking if it worked or not.
"Yeah it worked. Completely shattered the rock on contact, I still don't know why other trainers haven't bothered to try this. It's not hard." Pikachu said, the near nonstop questions by Elaine.
"Next thing to conquer is... ground type immunity!" Elaine cheered, while jumping almost uncontrollably around the medium sized room.
"Huh? Where's Mewtwo?"
"He went out to go buy a bigger tent." Explained Mewtwo's Charmander.
"Hey, Chamander. Do you think we should give you a nickname? To help distinguish you from other Charmander, as well as making it easier to call you."
"I'm fine with it, as long as it's good."
"What about Charla? It fits your species."
"Too generic and too similar to Charmander."
"Cinder?"
"Ooh yes, i like that one."
"Cinder it is then. We'll make it official once Mewtwo comes back."
{A Few Minutes Later}
'So what have you been up to? Have you got that technique working?'
"Nothing, and yes, I did." Ash replied. "Also, Mewtwo?"
'Yes Ash?'
"I kinda nicknamed Charmander, she goes by Cinder now."
Mewtwo blinked and replied shortly after. 'Not really a problem, I was meaning to that myself and the names I had planned were... subpar to say the least.'
'And where is Cinder now?'
"Outside practicing with Charmander. She wanted to learn Dragon Breath."
Mewtwo's Riolu form made an 'Ah...' face.
"-So that's basically the jist of how the technique works Professor."
"I did not know of this, it could completely change the Type Chart as we know it, though this does raise one question. Why hasn't any other trainer tried this? I mean schools teach this, or did they change it? I have no clue." The Professor said, going into a thing pose as he went on.
After a solid minute of the Professor mumbling about stuff Ash couldn't really hear over the speakers. He coughed, pulling the Professor out of his thoughts.
"Oh, sorry, Ash. Sometimes I forget that I'm on call."
"It's alright Professor... just don't do that to often, okay?"
"I will try, Ash."

Victini: I like the Charmander's nickname.
Dialga: Is it because it is based on your type?
Victini: What? No! It just fits, you know?"
Dialga: I do not.
