(Takes place in War Storm) After the siege on Harbor Bay, Mare secretly meets up with Cal in his bedroom at Ocean Hill. After spending hours together, she recalls where they still stand despite everything that happened. Mare is unsure how to deal with her feelings of insecurity and as usual, tries to run away.

(Takes place in Red Queen) Kilorn POV; His mentor unexpectedly dies and Kilorn rushes to Mare's house in the middle of the night. Using this moment to express how he feels about her, they perform an act of intimacy before he leaves.

(Takes place in War Storm) After Cal denies Montfort and the Scarlet Guard's terms, he finds Mare alone. They have an argument which turns into a physical fight, in which Mare gets carried away. Even in her darkest moments, Cal is there to remind her how he still feels about her.

(Takes place in War Storm) KilornxMare; Mare is upset at Cal's decision from Corvium, and when they return to Piedmont, Kilorn is there to comfort her.

(Takes place in Red Queen) Mare and Cal meet up again for another one of his private ballroom dance lessons. Things get heated up.

This story follows Cal's life after War Storm, as he tries to prove to his friends, family, Mare, and himself that he has changed and worth a second chance. This story is mainly Cal's POV since the story is about him (and he is my favorite character). Takes place mainly in Montfort. Also, OCs up ahead. And of course, eventual Mare Cal.

"July 1st. Everybody knows what that means." Mare gets a letter in the mail, and she might get the opportunity to provide for her family. She just has to be polite and walk correctly and dance nicely. Easy, right? Rating may change. Also, there's like a little bit of blood, so if you don't like that, yeah. I'm awful at summaries ;-; lol

After being rescued from Maven's cage, Mare believes she finally has a small break from war and the nightmares that come with the boy king. But when she visits Sara to be healed, it seems the monster that had her caged still haunts her, reminding her how close she is to being a monster herself. One-shot. The scarlet guard has won the war. Mare and Cal are married, the king and queen of Norta. But it's not quite a happy ending for Mare.
