A sequel to "The Winter Beasts." Kirby's jealous when Doc gets a two-day pass for Christmas, but unbeknownst to the squad, Hanley has given the medic a special mission.

Saunders and the squad must find out who is killing the drivers and hijacking the Red Ball Express trucks.

I wrote part 1 of this story last year on Pierre Jalbert's 89th birthday. Unfortunately, on that day Pierre suffered a heart attack, two weeks later, he left us. This year for his birthday I added to that story. When someone leaves suddenly, it's hard to accept. For those having trouble "accepting" I hope this story helps. Billy is homesick on his first Christmas away from home. Inspired by the song "I'll Be Home For Christmas".

Breaking my no "Guardian Angel" rule. GA was the first story I wrote, where a little girl named Amelie helped Caje and he wound up becoming her guardian (the "GA" went both ways). Some people really didn't like it, so you'll probably never see it here. But this is a Christmas story in that universe ... very 'fluffy'.

Doc wrestles with his role as a medic after the events of "The Hostages". (I'm terrible at writing plot summaries, but I don't want to give too much away either)

Hanley takes Kirby and Caje, along with some replacements, on a mission to provide the Underground with critical info. They are captured by Germans, including a former priest who may or may not be on their side.

Caje meets and befriends a Cajun interpreter from another squad, only to wind up ensnared in the other man's problems - and a potential plot.

Littlejohn wasn't with Saunders at Omaha (at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it :) ). This is Littlejohn's story on DDay. (Anonymous cameos by several regular cast members, since Littlejohn doesn't know who they are at this point).

This is a squad story, with some Caje-centric elements. It's set after "A Day in June" and around "Forgotten Front". New replacements show up, Hanley is promoted and Caje is still dealing with losing Theo. Rated "T" only for one short scene.

This story is part of what those who visited my old website know as the "GA" universe, born out of my fascination w/Cajun culture. In "Best Laid Plans", Paulie (Caje) & T'eo 'borrow' a pirogue to try to have an adventure, only to get lost, which triggers a conflict in the already strained relationship between Denis (Paulie's dad) and his Uncle (or 'Nonc', in Cajun) Pierre.

December 1944- As news of the massacre at Malmedy spreads, Saunders wrestles his own demons when he captures an SS officer with a reputation for sadism. When a storm isolates his patrol in the forest, Saunders realizes the nightmare is just beginning.

Someone who reviewed one of my other stories asked if I was going to explain why the nurse Kirby was in love with sometimes called him Bill and also Kirby. I had started the story but it took me awhile to figure out the ending. Hope you enjoy it!

I wondered how Kirby would have handle a question my friend's daughter asked him. The little girl asked him about her birth. He said he needed to ask her mother and she responded, "Don't you know?" The story practically wrote itself. Hope you enjoy.
