Short story - Caje is hurt and Kirby is afraid of losing another friend.

Caje and Kirby are injured and lost after a firefight.

This story was based on something that happened during the Battle of the Bulge. I hop you like it.

The squad was moving to a new town and found that riding on a half track wasn't any easier than walking.

This was supposed to be Doc's story. But once I started writing it, it turned more into Kirby's.

Why was Kirby so scared and why did he want to run away?

After the squad has bee injured in a firefight they find themselves on a medical transport.

This was the first fan fiction story I ever wrote. I had read a book about the end of the war and this story stuck in my mind.

A friend once said to me that she wished she could go back in time to meet Vic Morrow and that got me started.

I read a story about an Intelligence & Reconnaissance platoon that I thought I could use as a basis for the squad.

I don't usually read h/c, much less write it, but this popped into my head and I knew it was gonna drive me nuts until I got it written down

Caje and Kirby are late getting back from a 24-hour pass and Saunders and the rest of the squad must find them.

This story explains why Caje wears a wedding ring and also a pinky ring. The pinky ring belonged to his wife, who died giving birth to their daughter. The baby die's 1 week later. Long enough for Caje to have bonded with his daughter. This also helps explain Caje's deep attachment to the orphaned children of France. His wife's name was Mireille-pronounced-Meer-ray.(1st story Ever!)
