Rey had adopted a routine. Every night she would climb into bed and curl up beneath the too-thin blankets. She would bury her nose in the fabric of his old shirt and close her eyes, trying to will him to be there with her. She would stay that way until she fell asleep, every morning opening her eyes with the hope that she would see him looking back at her.

Rey wouldn't have been able to grieve around any of the other rebels.
