The Legos of Death
Canto 4
All was still
but then a great chill
swept o'er the room
with the legos of doom.
The window was thrown wide
a burglar came inside.
He wanted to steal
but he didn't see his heel
rise over the legos.
Their adrenaline flows!
For they have their prey
though no one can say
what will happen to the poor devil.
His foot grows level
right over the toys
and when his foot came down there was a dreadful noise!
He swore and cried out;
t'was a frightful shout
and the screams woke the people asleep.
The mother began to weep
The children were still
and the burglar screamed bloody murder until
he cried out, "You swine! You schlup!
You set me up!"
But the father was prepared
and with a menacing air
he called those who would make the arrest!
The thief was distressed
for he knew his fate
but by then it was too late!
He took another stride
but slipped on the toys and fell on his hide.
A sickening crack filled the room!
"Yes yes!" cried the legos of doom
for he had broken his limb!
Bad luck was with him
that horrible night
and the family stood there frozen with fright!
The thief screamed and the mother gasped
"Oh, my lord!" the father rasped.
The children cried, "What have we done?"
The legos thought it was much fun.
And when the police arrived, they had the same reaction.
The legos watched the scene with satisfaction.
"I'll get you for this!" the burglar yelled
while the police propelled
him out of the room.
"Hee hee hee!" said the legos of doom.
They had done their work
and almost killed the jerk.
But the family looked on with dissatisfaction.
How would the burglar take action?
