This is post 7.1 Time Zones and came about for two reasons: 1) I keep listening to the Solomon Burke song Cry to Me and I think it's one of the sexiest, most melancholy songs and 2) I wanted to see Ted fall apart in much the same way Peggy did.

Peggy is determined to move on after Ted dropped the California bombshell on her, but he keeps sending her letters. Peggy picks up the pieces with the help of her SC&P allies, and Ted learns the hard way that he can't hide, no matter how far he runs.

In answer to a prompt Mad Men Kink Meme on LJ: Ted comes back from California, Nan has left him and he wants her back but she's not having it. He tells her he'll do anything to make up for it. Peggy says she wants total control of him, he has to do whatever he wants.

A year after that dreadful Thanksgiving Peggy finds a visitor waiting in her new office. Peggy/Ted

Ted confronts Don immediately after their impromptu partners meeting regarding the Sunkist account. Takes place during "The Quality of Mercy".

Peggy, Ted and (eventually) the Clio Awards. I started writing this before episode 12 but it ties in pretty well (all I had to do was change references to Ocean Spray).

After "The Better Half," Peggy's probably not going to be keen on staying in her apartment. I couldn't settle on one scenario. Every other chapter will explore Peggy/Stan or Peggy/Ted. Kind of my own "Choose Your Own Adventure" story.
