My take on the deleted scene from "Spoils of War". Warning this is a dark one.

This is placed after Frozen Lake, but Kensi was never reassigned instead Deeks was. The op has been going on for three months now and he is not allowed to formally contact any of the team, so in his free time he starts writing letters to Kensi.

Takes place in the 'Unintended Consequences' universe. There are a lot of people in the secret world NCIS Special Operations works in. That many people, with that many secrets can lead to problems.

Season 5.5-Episode 6. Too many of the men that Kensi has loved have been ripped out of her life. After being hurt so often, can she emotionally afford to enter into a relationship with another man? Will she be able to give her heart away again, or is she always doomed to be "bad-assed Blye"? This is a one shot written for #KensiAppreciationWeek on the NCIS:LA Magazine's website.
