One-shot story just after "The frozen lake" from Deeks' POV - what he thinks, what he does just after he learns Kensi's been reassigned.

Kensi has been captured and knocked out, and she wakes up to find a bomb with a now very short timer strapped to her chest. She's hiding out in an abandoned warehouse to stop anyone else getting hurt, since a bomb squad is too far out to save her now. But Deeks managed to find her and now refuses to leave her!

After the kiss in the season 4 finale while they were hunting Siderov and the stolen nuclear weapons, Kensi and Deeks have their first date, and then their relationship grows. I barely mention the torture in this story. I don't think I could really do justice to what Deeks (all of them) must go through so I just don't want to try. I hope you like it anyway!
