Arthur's birthday is coming, and Merlin is just trying to survive. Arthur's being more of a pain than usual, accusing Merlin of being at the core of every noble's desires. Oh, and that Merlin can't possibly have a loved one, because he's far too annoying for anyone to put up with. Arthur's right, but Merlin has a plan to wipe that smug look off the prince's face.

Arthur and the knights depart for King Bors' conference in Paris. Gaius and Merlin go to Rothsborough to deal with a sickness. Gawain and Gwen are sent north by Agravaine on his affairs. Merlin meets a Girl in Camelot, Mary. She helps Gaius with all his patients and has a sad past. Soon his destiny will be linked to hers. I wrote this story for my teenagers. They were sad that Merlin didn't get a girl. I didn't change much in the story but created an additional character. (I don‘t own Merlin)

Destinies can change as the future is not written in stone. Morgana is sure it is her destiny to bring about Camelot's downfall, that is until she sees something that was not meant to be seen. A strange saver appeared in Morgana's life just shortly after she'd been captured by Sarrum. Yet the saver has her own agenda and Morgana find herself in the kingdom of ice, waiting to be married to someone that may break her wings forever. Merlin got caught into a story he'd never expected to be part of. He's forced to make decisions that would shape his own destiny.

She's Arthur's equal and has Magic like Merlin. What would happen in Camelot if a half-wild Irish princess with magic came to spend some time there? How will Arthur react to a girl with battle scars? And what about Merlin? A girl with powerful magic in Camelot...suddenly he's not alone.

Uther decides it's time to take Arthur with him on his annual visit to some of the outlying villages, things don't always go as planned.
