Inspired by a line in Damien O's Song The Blower's Daughter. Probably set between Season 1 and 2. Vanessa feels Ethan watching her all the time and wonder's why. I apologise but I am just a little obsessed with his eyes.

There are things that are passed down from generation to generation. With Vanessa Ives it was no different. Her grandmother was always with her, even if she did not know. Sapphire eyes. Tickles up and down her spine. "Try not to fall in love and if you do, well..."

Sometimes even Vanessa Ives needs a little push. Vanessa leaves Sir Malcolms's lonely mansion in London and seeks solace in the home of her childhood, where a few days of sunshine and a good talking to, push her to the direction of love... And acceptance.

Why did Ethan make the choice to leave Vanessa after she offered him her acceptance and her love. This is my take on his decision which broke my heart. It has given me a little closure. I hope it can provide the same to others.
