Written from the Diaries of Squall and Rinoa, this story explores the original promise that these two made from their childhood. From the early days of Rinoa's attendance at Balamb Garden, Squall loved Rinoa. But due to the memory loss from the Guardian Forces, both lovers have forgotten their childhood. As they journey together, their memories returns... but so does their fate.

Laguna invites Squall and his friends to a costume party for Halloween, but, a night of fun quickly turns into a fight to survive when an ancient evil begins to re-awaken. As they fight to stop it, Squall and the others are also confronted by the ghosts from their pasts.

Some bonds seem eternal while others quickly fall apart under the harsh pressures of life. But what happens when bonds that were supposed to last forever are stretched to the limit and beyond? Are they doomed to break and fade away? Or can some bonds transcend any hardship and even the people who are connected by them?

A tragic accident and a moment of chance force an encounter between two people who thought they would never meet. As they learn to co-exist, both of them will discover that what appears to be random is actually fate...and that sometimes fate begins to unfold long before people are aware of it.

Set 10 years after the final battle with Ultimecia, the Fated Children have settled into a world of peace. Unfortunately, peace never lasts and an old enemy rears his head, plunging the world into war and chaos once again. However, not everything is as it seems while betrayals hit hard.
