Private Investigators Erik and Mme Giry are called in to find out what's going on, meaning they have to keep a close eye on the young soprano. Erik seems to hate Christine who seems horrified of Erik, but things aren't always what they seem.

She would not be enough to soothe his obsession. But she was something to care for - an outlet for touch, for tenderness. In the empty endless days, the quiet rituals of tending to her brought a sense of routine. Some Erik/Mannequin fluff.

There was a boy running up to her, with eyes the color of ambers and she realized that her greatest loss in life, the one she had never voiced out loud, was the loss of the one person she had denied to love, her son. -My take on the story of Madeleine, Erik's mother. Her youth, her marriage, the birth of her son and her feelings for him.- Including E/C as a bonus.

The Phantom of the Opera mentions a siren in the lake that lured and drowned unwelcome visitors to Erik's secret home. Taking place in Susan Kay's Phantom, from Erik's time in Persia to him taking up residence in the Paris opera house, we learn the true identity behind the siren and the real reason why Christine's voice was so otherworldly.

Erik misses Christine when she's not around, but he has a way to cope with that - or - pervy sweet sewer goblin feels shame over mannequin cuddling sadtimes (Set during The Timeless Erosion of Fantasy's Dream, part of the Sonnet 86 series, can be read on its own)
