Maka and Soul were about to collect another Kishin egg. Nothing was different than it was yesterday. This was just another soul that had strayed from the human path, but...it wasn't. Soul gives Maka... a rock?

Soul finally became a Death Scythe, and while he knows he should be psyched, he can't help but feel upset. He's going to lose his meister, his friend, and his partner. (Hints of SoMa, but not really.)

Just a little drabble :) Maka's out of town and this leaves Soul in perpetual gloominess. At least, when they aren't on the phone together.

(Based off of Linkin Park's 'In the End') Near the beginning, Maka and Soul's relationship was definitely less than stable. All she wants is for him to talk to her!
