Every time I finish a book I don't like, I fix it. After I do, I check if others have fixed it online. For this book, "Wayward Son", I found nothing good. So, here it is, my fix. What you did was a classic trilogy mistake, Rainbow Rowell. Making your 2nd book weak on purpose like that. A whole book and these two never spoke the way they spoke in the 1st book. It just doesn't fit!
