Part of me wanted you to return to me, if only for a moment to see your
smile and hear your delicate voice.
When life did come to your body, before Kagome returned her soul to her
body, I had gotten my wish. I realized I didn't want you back, not like
that, with such hatred. I ran after you to only give peace to your soul.
Even now when I see your corpse and you brush your dead lips against my
own, all I taste is earth and misery. Kagome is your reincarnation but she
only resembles your past appearance. She could never be you. That's why I
can love her. She's a different person. Our trust can withstand anything.
I will never go to hell with you Kikyo. You never accepted me as Kagome
does. She loves me for who I am and doesn't try to change what I am.
I will always love you Kikyo, for who you were, my first love, friend, and
companion. Kagome could never replace you, and you can't return. I am able
to move on because she has another place in my heart. Right now your place
is hell. Let your soul rest in peace Kikyo. You're a plague upon this
earth.
