Draco Malfoy has become a bit of a recluse since the war. The world has changed drastically and he no longer knows his place in it. Ginny Weasley feels as if she is simply going through the motions since the war and she is beginning to grow restless. Chance encounters bring these two together, forcing them to learn the uncomfortable truth of a post-war world & what exactly love is.

Harry laid in a heap on the ground with his eyes pressed closed. His hip felt as if it were on fire, and he was certain that his arm was badly broken. Burning pain was radiating down his leg from his hip, and he didn't think he could move even a little.

After the war, students return to a rebuilt school in hopes of unification but find allegiances quickly being drawn along new lines. An exhausted Hermione Granger and repentant Draco Malfoy are bonded by parallel feelings of dread. Are their suspicions the result of paranoia or are there darker forces at work in the castle once again?
