Then a crime scene. There was a park too. And later a masquerade. But the times Kuroba Kaito and Kudo Shinichi met was always somehow, just on a train. The detective just never seems to see it.

Spirit Medium. Someone who possesses the ability to see ghosts. An ability which Hakuba has had the misfortune of having his whole life, he's ignored it for the most part. However, it seems the moment he moved to Japan just ignoring the ghosts would no longer be possible. Or Hakuba can see ghosts and he wishes he couldn't. (Rating may change)

Kaito's not a detective, but he's pretty sure there's no logical explanation for Shinichi's disappearance from his apartment. Or for the cat that's shown up in his kitchen.
