Ch. 1
It had been nearly 3 years since Link and Zelda had rid Hyrule of calamity Ganon . Zelda has been busy re-establishing her kingdom, negotiating politics and trade routes with the other races of Hyrule and making efforts to rebuild villages and a sense of unity. The work was slow but vitally important and Zelda found it so rewarding. Link had been made a captain of the new order of the royal guard. However, now that the land was in a time of such peace, being that the monsters don't regenerate every month, and for the most part had been cleared out of populated areas. There wasn't actually very much to do, so he often accompanied Zelda as security on her various trips. He of course enjoyed helping Hyrule rebuild, and was never unwilling to lead a hand. Also having him by her side was very useful for Zelda. As even though they both played important parts in saving the land link's was more seen as he had freed the land from the divine beast and visible fought calamity Ganon's beast form in Hyrule field (a place visible to most all the land). The people loved link, and thanked him for all he had done for them. But dispute the peace and praise Zelda noticed that link somehow seemed a little flat and hollow in his mood. He of course would smile for the crowds and was always polite, but when he was off on his own and thought no one else was around. Zelda had seen, he looked down right sad. Or other times he would blankly stair with a hundred yard gaze, clearly in thoughts a million miles away. Zelda wanted him to be happy after all they had won! Prophecy fulfilled pressure off. They were free to live their lives now without the literal dark menacing threat looming above their heads. Zelda offered him the chance to leave, go off, he was no longer bound to her. But he seemed to want to stay. Zelda also tried to subtly bring up the oddness of his mood, but as always he was a man of few words, well no words. A little bit of sign but yeah. Still he did his best to express that he was fine and that although appreciated there was no need for her to worry. She dropped it and time went on but it was always one of the thoughts in the back of her mind. Link had done so much for Hyrule, for her. He deserves to be happy. She didn't really know how but this was something she wanted very much to do for him.
Time passes as time does and one day Zelda heard news of a new sort of healer from Gerudo Town. In addition to healing sicknesses and mending bones. They were a specialist in the study of heart and mind relations and how one's life informed and influenced who they are and why the act as they do. There were mentions of this person restoring many unhappy marriages, curing people of phobias and bad habits and also bringing light back to those who are rather like storm clouds. If the stories were true then this Dr. ther-apy was exactly the person to help link. She wrote to the good doctor inquiring if she might be willing to come to the castle a while and perhaps do whatever it is she does for link. When Zelda revived word back the Dr. expressed she would be thrilled to meet let alone work with someone who has had as interesting a life as the hundred year hero, and she asked Zelda if she could also ""do whatever it is you do" , as you put it, for you, your majesty. You may also find this work extremely beneficial". Zelda didn't quite know what she could gain but was never the less pleased she had shown interest. The letter also explained that she couldn't come at the moment but expected she should be able to by the start of the new year. And so it was set Link and Zelda were to start meetings with this Dr. Ther-apy.
