Kingdom Hearts Story of the Light and Darkness
This is a story that will have every single Kingdom Hearts game in Timeline order starting with Birth By Sleep, this story is based on a young boy named Sakore a Keyblade wielder passed down from his two parents who work as part of two clans of Light and Shadow to keep everything at a balance. Granted to wield a special Keyblade that is to be passed down to the next Wielder, which he wields the Silver Light.
This story only shows Sakore in parts with him accompanying Ventus and Aqua at some points. As for Chapters it will be provided for a World each, some of the later stories might be longer for other worlds. Anyway, this starts the story of Sakore and his friends' journeys to other worlds to protect the light.
Birth By Sleep Story; The Mark of Mastery! The Unexpecting Threat!
It was currently dark in a land called The Land of Departure, a man was slowly walking towards the stairs to a large castle holding a young boy sleeping in his arms. The doors opened by another man with tan skin, blue eyes, has black hair tied in a knot from the back at the top with one bang on the right side of his face, he has a triangular soul patch and a moustache. He wears a white, red-lined haori that has a hood, along with slightly shorter than usual light-colored hakama. Underneath his haori, he has a navy blue shirt with a white X pattern on the front. He has gold and black armor boots, and a dull blue-green section that covers his-abdomen. This man is Eraqus. When Eraqus saw the man walking to the stair like he had been gravely injured from his slow movement, but he had no injuries on his body. He hurried down the stairs as the man fell to his knees.
"Jon! Are you alright? What happened to you?" Eraqus asked him worried about why he looks strangely weak.
"Eraqus… I had no choice… but to use a forbidden spell." Jon explained to him which surprised Eraqus. "It was for the safety of my son… I used the… last of my strength… to bring him to you…" He gives the sleeping boy to Eraqus, as Jon had little strength left.
"But Jonathon, you know that spell takes your life away! Why risk doing that?!" Eraqus asked him as Jon got one last look at the young boy.
"I had to, before it would take over…" Jon explained and Eraqus looked surprised as he understood what Jon was talking about. "Young Sakore, my son. Stay strong, remember there is nothing wrong with feeling fear. You must learn to know your weaknesses to become a stronger person… only you have the power… to defeat the evil that resides within 'Him'." Jon pats Sakore's head lovingly and looks up at Eraqus. "My friend, when there comes a time when a Threat arrives. Promise me that my son goes out to get stronger."
"I will, old friend… I won't break your promise. I will be sure that he is well trained in using the Keyblade." Eraqus tells him with determination. As Jon smiled weakly.
"That's… good to… hear…" Jon says as he falls and glows causing his body to disappear in sparkles of lights going into the sky. Eraqus watched in sorrow seeing his friend vanish.
"Mm… daddy… he's hurting…" Sakore mumbled in his sleep while in Eraqus' arms. Eraqus looked down at Sakore.
"I promise, he will become strong to destroy the corrupted darkness." Eraqus says quietly and he goes back into the castle bringing Sakore in to be his pupil.
Years later
Sakore who is now in his teen years is currently in his room resting on his bed. He has light tan skin with Night Blue eyes, has Black short Hair, he wears a red jacket with white trims at the bottom over a light blue shirt underneath, he has blue cross straps over his chest with a ruby Keyblade Master emblem pin. At the end of the Sleeves which has grey lines, at the end is Maroon and Black with a small curve pattern, on his right shoulder he has a metal armor plate with a mix of Red, Black, and White. He wears a white wristband with two black stripes on his left arm, he has maroon shorts that go past his knees, having pockets at the sides, and at the bottom has grey and black. He also has black, red, and maroon armor shoes. He sits up having to have just woken up from a strange dream he had.
"Another dream about him." He said to himself with a sigh. He then turned to the window and gasped noticing something in the sky. "Whoa! A Meteor Shower!" He got excited and left his room to go watch the Meteor Shower happening. He quickly went out the doors to notice someone going forward. "Ven must have noticed the Meteor Shower, of course he would be excited about it." Sakore quickly hurried to the mountain range which was a perfect place to view the shooting stars. Once he got to the place which has a bench near the edge he notices the said person that he saw before. "Hey Ven!" Sakore called out to him, the boy was about his height with blonde spiky hair, he has blue eyes. His jacket has one side that is black, and the other being white, he wears a grey vest underneath with several white angular patterns, he also has a third layer with a high-necked black shirt. He has a chunk of dull green and grey armor on his midsection that is under his vest, he also has an armor piece like Sakore only this one is on his left shoulder instead. His pants are colored in shades of grey, black, and white, he has a wristband with white edges while the center is a black and white checkered pattern, he also has black straps across his chest like Sakore's with a silver emblem similar to Sakore's. He has armor shoes like Sakore's but with dull green, black, and grey colors. This young boy's name is Ventus or Ven for short.
"Hey Sakore! Are you here to watch the Meteor Shower also?" Ven asks him which he nodded and the two of them laid down on the ground watching the stars. Some time went by and the two fell asleep while watching the stars. Ven woke up first then he sat up, Sakore was just opening his eyes. "Whoa!" Ven cried out which fully woke Sakore up, he sat up and looked to see a young woman was hovering over Ventus, she has short blue hair, and has blue eyes. She wore a black and Navy Blue high-collared halter top, a black corset with two pairs of white laces and black shorts. She has two pink straps crossing over her chest, with a Silver Keyblade Masters emblem just like Sakore and Ven. On her arms are white bell-sleeves and tan fingerless gloves, she also wears a small segmented piece of armor on both of her upper arms. She has black stockings reaching about halfway up her thighs. Also has two strips of blue cloth draped over her hips, along with a smaller white strip of cloth tied around her waist and draped in the same manner. She has silver boots that are pointed armored with a sharp hook on the outer sides. This Woman is named Aqua. She giggled over Ven's reaction. "Gimme a break, Aqua."
"Ven, you hopeless sleepyhead. You know you should have at least brought a blanket." She tells him and Sakore scratched his cheek realizing that would have been a good idea.
"But… Did I dream that place up?" Ven asked himself confused. "It really felt like I'd been there before… looking up at the stars…" He then gets patted on the head by Aqua like he was like her kid or little brother.
"Cept you've always lived here with us." Aqua tells him and he nodded as he liked being here with them. The three of them walked to the edge and sat down. Then Ven had a question cross his mind.
"Hey Aqua!" Ven says her name, she looks at him wondering what he wants. "You ever wonder what stars are? Where light comes from?"
"Hmm… Well, they say…" Aqua was about to start when another voice spoke behind them.
"That every star up there is another world." A male voice spoke which the three of them looked behind to see a tall young man with brown hair at the base of his neck which is also kinda messy with some bangs the frame his face. He has blue eyes slightly tan skin, he has a skintight black, high collared shirt with red straps crossing over his chest. His pants bear a distinct feudal Japanese style, his belt is tied like an obi-sash which also has the Keyblade Masters emblem which is gold, and he wears a hakama which are dark grey near the top with several loops for his belt and two buttons. The rest of his pants are tan with a smaller, lighter stripe of tan on the bottom hem. He has a black wristband on his right arm, while his left arm has armor similar to Ven and Sakore, but on the whole arm.
"Terra!" Aqua says his name, surprised to see him.
"Yep, hard to believe there are so many worlds out there besides our own." He tells them and walks towards the trio. "The light is their hearts, and it's shining down on us like a million lanterns."
"What? I don't get it." Ven says confused about what Terra is saying.
"In other words, they're just like you, Ven." Terra explained to him with a smirk.
"What does THAT mean?" Ven asked a little ticked off from the comment.
"You'll find out someday, I'm sure." Terra replied.
"I wanna know now." Ven demanded.
"You're too young to know now." Terra retorted.
"Quit treating me like a kid." Ven argued getting more ticked off, as Aqua giggled at what was happening.
"What are you laughing about Aqua?" Sakore asks her.
"I can't help it. Those two would make the weirdest brothers." She says while still laughing, Ven and Terra were confused then all of them started laughing with her like friends. The four of them sat together looking up at the stars from left to right Aqua, Ven, Sakore, then Terra. "Oh yeah." Aqua spoke up getting their attention standing up. "Terra, you and I have our Mark of Mastery exams tomorrow." She then pulls out 5 objects. "I made us good luck charms." Each one has the same style, just in different colors. Each of them are shaped like a star with the emblem in the center glass frames for the pieces to shape into a star. She tossed the orange frame with a Gold emblem to Terra, the light green frame with the silver emblem to Ventus, the red frame with a ruby emblem and the black frame with a black obsidian emblem to Sakore. As she kept the one with blue frames and silver emblem.
"Wait, why does Sakore get two while we get one?" Ven asked Aqua with a confused expression.
"The second one is for his Brother, you know to wish him to feel better." Aqua answered which Ven realized.
"Oh yeah! Now I understand!" He said just now remembering what Sakore told them.
"Yeah, my brother is currently not feeling well so he can't do any training. I did mention if he was given something like a charm to wish him feel better, he might actually get better someday." Sakore explained to them.
"Yeah, Zekken was his name right?" Terra asked which Sakore nodded. "I'd really like to meet your twin brother, I hope he gets better so that he can train with us."
"I hope so too, he would really like to meet you guys. However I'm still stuck here with my own training so I'll give it to him when I get the chance." Sakore says pocketing the black charm as he holds the red one.
"Somewhere out there, there's this tree with star-shaped fruit… and the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So as long as you and your friends carry good luck charms shaped like it. Nothing can ever drive you apart." Aqua explained to the boys. "You'll always find your way back to each other. Technically, I think you're supposed to make them with seashells, but I did the best with what I had."
"Oy, sometimes you are such a girl." Terra told her.
"Hey, what do you mean, "sometimes"?" She asked him while a bit ticked off from his comment.
"Don't be mean to her Terra!" Sakore said sternly to him.
"So this isn't a real good luck charm?" Ven asked, slightly disappointed.
"Well, that's yet to be seen. But I did work a little magic on it." Aqua replied which perked Ven up excited.
"Really? What?" He asks curiously.
"An unbreakable connection!" She said as she raised her charm up. Then Terra went to the open area.
"Well, tomorrow's the exam. Anybody wanna spar?" He asked as Ven summoned his Wayward Wind Keyblade.
"I can take you!" He exclaimed as he held his Keyblade backwards. Ven took action as he took a swing at Terra who blocked the attack with his Earthshaker Keyblade. "Quit going easy on me. You're not gonna win unless you stay on the offensive!" Ven taunted.
"Alright, you asked for it." Terra tells him as the two charge towards one another and clash their weapons against each other as the two try to get on the other. Though Ven does a Dodge Roll as Terra air slides from their attacks. Terra was strong with attacking, Ventus was a mix using attacks and magic. They clash one more time and back away some distance from each other.
"Well, that works fine if you're fighting one on one. But you need to know how to handle a crowd, too." Aqua says to them as she swapped with Terra to be Ven's sparring partner this time. She was best at using magic the most unlike the other two, she pointed her Rainfell Keyblade at Ventus and unleashed her Bubble Blaster Shotlock ability shooting many bubbles as Ventus held his ground defending against the attack.
"It's not just handling a crowd you have to deal with. You also need to learn what moves your opponent will try next." Sakore explained letting him switch with Aqua and he summons his Keyblade Silver Light, the blade is white with the edges being silver shaped like a regular sword but with a flat end point, the handle is black while the end points are white, the guard is black with a white triangle with grey stripes at the sides, the chain is a blue strip of cloth connected to a 8 white pointed charm. Instead of holding in his right hand Sakore is one of the first Keyblade wielders to hold it in their left hand. Ventus runs towards Sakore doing a sliding Dash attack which he flipped by placing his open hand on the ground moving around dodging the attack, he then gets a few open strikes on Ven knocking him back. After a while they decided to wrap it up, Ven, Aqua, and Sakore looked up at the stars one last time before heading back to the castle. However from that point on it would be the last time they would watch the stars together.
The next day was now the day for the Mark of Mastery Terra and Aqua were going to take to become Keyblade Masters. The said two stood in front of the place with three seats with two occupied by Eraqus their teacher, and the one on the right who is an old man with dark tan skin, amber color eyes, he has a silver goatee, a bald head though has eyebrows. He wears a white and black coat with a red inner lining, which is worn over a white shirt with two thin black belts, as well as white gloves and calf-high boots. Ventus and Sakore looked at him, they could tell that he was staring intensely at Ventus for some reason. Then stood straight as Eraqus stood up and walked in front of Terra and Aqua.
"Today you will be examined for the Mark of Mastery. Not one, but two of the Keyblade's chosen stand here as candidates. But this is neither a competition nor a battle for supremacy, not a test of wills, but a test of heart. Both of you may prevail, or neither." Eraqus explained to the two. "But I am sure our guest, Master Xehanort, did not travel all this way to see our youngest prospects in years fall short of the Mark." The said man bowed his head glad that he could see new Keyblade Masters prommited. "I trust you are ready."
"Yes." Terra and Aqua answered.
"Then let the examination begin." Eraqus declares and uses his power to create orbs of light as tests for the two to prepare themselves.
-Battle Music; KHBBS OST Future Masters-
Suddenly the orbs of light strangely gained dark auras which surprised everyone except Xehanort, the orbs were suddenly aggressive which the two went to work on taking them out. However two orbs were moving towards Sakore and Ventus. The two called out to them, both of them summoned their Keyblades and destroyed the two orbs that came at them.
"Don't worry about us! You both focus on the exam!" Sakore told them.
"But you're in danger, go wait in your rooms!" Aqua told them for their safety.
"No way! I've been looking forward to this, seeing you two become Masters. I'm not gonna miss it now!" Ven argued, wanting to stay and fight.
"They can take care of themselves. They've been out there training just as hard as us!" Terra tells Aqua which Ven and Sakore agreed with Terra's statement.
"Stay sharp you two." Aqua told them and the four went to work against the Corrupted Orbs of Light. The four of them fight off against their targets, more of them spawn and either do a shock attack in a short range or shoot off rays of light that would hurt the team slightly. After they dealt with the Orbs each of them were granted a special power and they returned to their places as Eraqus walked to the two Wielders in front of him.
"That was unexpected… but one must keep a still heart even in the most trying of circumstances. It was an excellent test, one I chose to let unfold." He admits to them. "Which brings us to your next trial. Now, Terra and Aqua, the two of you will face each other in combat." The two get into position after he said that, the two are holding their weapons ready to battle against each other. "Remember, there are no winners, only truths, for when equal powers clash, their nature is revealed. Begin!" The two charge at one another clash their blades and dodging their attacks, one of Aqua swings was close to almost hitting Terra in the face causing him to gain distance away from her. However Terra got frustrated and Sakore saw the darkness cover Terra's left hand, which he looked at it surprised, but then regained his composure and continued his clash against Aqua. Sakore was worried about that darkness that Terra conjured up suddenly wondering if this won't turn out well. After some time Eraqus called out to end the fight having the two stop and stood in front of their teacher. "We have deliberated and reached a decision. Terra, Aqua, you both performed commendably. However, only Aqua has shown the Mark of Mastery." This shocked the two of them as well as Ven and Sakore. "Terra, you failed to keep the darkness within you sufficiently in check. But there is always next time. That is all. Aqua, as our newest Keyblade Master, you are entitled to certain knowledge. Please wait here for further instruction." Sakore and Ven went up to the two.
"Terra, I'm sorry." Ven told him feeling sorry for what happened, which both Aqua and Sakore nodded in agreement.
"The darkness… where did it come from?" Terra questioned, confused at how this had happened. "Sorry… but I need some time alone." Ventus went back to his room sad that Terra didn't become a Keyblade Master like he hoped. Aqua stayed in the main area as Sakore walked through the halls with concern why this had suddenly happened.
"This can't be some strange accident. I felt something from Xehanort, but I couldn't be too sure about it. He is hiding something… but what?" Sakore thought to himself as he questions about the things that have happened. Then all of a sudden the alarm bell goes off, Sakore hurries back to the main area where Aqua and Master Eraqus are at which Terra arrives also.
"What happened?" Terra asks Aqua.
"What's going on?" Sakore asked, concerned if there is something serious.
"I don't know." Aqua answered. "Why isn't Ven here?" Back in Ven's room he was halted by a mysterious masked boy.
"Very well then, I will send my pupils to investigate." Eraqus says, like he is having a conversation with a person through the gemstone behind the throne seats. "Yes, I understand. Very well then." Eraqus walked back to give the news to the trio that stood before him. "That was my dear old friend Yen Sid. As you know, he is a Master no longer… but he still keeps a close eye on the tides of light and darkness. His counsel serves as signposts on the road we wielders of the Keyblade must walk. All the more reason, then for concern for he tells me the Princesses of Heart are in danger. Not only from the forces of darkness, as you may assume… but also from a new threat, one that feeds on negativity. Fledgling emotions that have taken monster form, Yen Sid calls them the "Unversed." Eraqus looks at the three pupils before him. "As wielders of the Keyblade, you are tasked with striking down any who would upset the balance of light and darkness. The Unversed are no exception. I tried to pass this news on to Master Xehanort, but my repeated attempts to reach him have failed. I doubt there is any connection, and yet… This all troubles me."
"Master Xehanort is gone?" Terra asked worried something might have happened to him.
"So here we are. I need you three to get this situation under control. Eliminate the Unversed, and find Master Xehanort. I have unlocked the Lanes Between. You may use these forbidden pathways to travel between this world and countless others." He continued explaining their task. "The darkness looms closer than usual within these spaces, but your armor will protect you. Lastly, remember that order must be kept. You cannot tell anyone there are other worlds. You'll need these first off." Eraqus goes to each of them and gives them a device with a screen. "These devices will tell you of anything you encounter, you may also use them to switch abilities, skills, and even magic. You will also gain special Shotlock skills that will have different effects. As well as meld your skills to create more powerful ones. Now go, and fulfill your duty."
"Yes Master!" The three of them answered, Eraqus then walked up to Sakore.
"Sakore, I promised your father that if there ever comes a threat out in other worlds, I would let you go out to become stronger, for "His" sake." He tells him which Sakore guessed that he knew his situation. "As for you both, please understand that Sakore must do this for his Brother. I cannot give out many details, unless Sakore wishes to tell you. Do you understand?" The two were confused at what he meant, but decided not to question it and understand what he tells them. Terra was about to leave. "Terra. Consider this an opportunity. A second chance for you to change my mind." Terra was confused at what he meant. "You must know, I care for you like my own son." Eraqus walks to him. "If I could have my way, I would name you Master in a second. But, how can I, when you are so obsessed with power? Terra, you mustn't be afraid of losing. Fear leads to obsession with power, and obsession beckons the darkness." Eraqus placed his hand on Terra's shoulder. "You must never forget."
"Thank you, Master." Terra says with a slight bow. "I swear… I will not fail you again." With determination to make him proud, Terra starts to head outside with Sakore following behind him.
"Master, I'd best be on my way." Aqua says to him as she starts to follow behind Sakore.
"Wait, Aqua, Sakore." Eraqus called to her which both she and Sakore stopped as Ven ran passed the two going after Terra. They turn to their master wondering what else he had to say. "Before you both depart, I have one other… well, call it a request, of the utmost priority." The two wondered what the request was. "I told Terra this could be a second chance to show the Mark of Mastery… and I meant it. However, that flicker of darkness he displayed during the examination. I can sense it runs very deep. If he were to… If those powers were to prove too much for him to handle. I want you to bring him back to me at once. It's for his own good." The two were concerned about Terra with that sudden bit of darkness he had shown. "I could not bear to lose any of you to the darkness."
"Of course. I would never let that happen." Aqua told him. "I promise to you I will bring Terra back. Only this time, you'll see he has what it takes to be a Master."
"He's not as weak as you think." Sakore muttered and started heading outside to see Ven trying to tell Terra something. However he patted Ven's head saying to not worry, he then slams on the armor piece on his shoulder and in a flash of light he is covered in bronze, gold, and brown colored armor. He points his Keyblade to the air and opens a pathway to the lanes between, he tosses his Keyblade which transforms into a flying vehicle which he jumps onto and flies into the portal. Sakore walks up to Ven who was amazed at what Terra had done. Sakore slams the palm of his hand onto his piece of armor giving him silver, black, and Ruby color armor, which is a similar shape to Terra's. He tossed his Keyblade making it transform into a large silver jetpack, he jumps high having the jetpack attach onto his back and flies into the same portal Terra created. "I'll get stronger for you Zekken, that I promise you."
That ends the start of the Birth By Sleep Arc of my Kingdom Hearts story which will be a whole combination of all games in one. I have been reading some other person's KH story and I had been making ideas for this for a long time. Also I had posted artwork on my Deviantart so you can go check it out if you want. Also this will be based on the Final Mix version.
