Prologue

Greece, 1260 BCE:

Two humanoids stood near the foothills of Mount Olympus, which had just come out of the first war since they established their rule in the aftermath of the Titanomachia that their authority had been challenged. Porphyrion and his brothers had been defeated in the conflict that would be known later on as the Gigatomachia.

"Ugh, looks like even the Gaia's and Tartarus' offspring could not displace the Olympians." One of them, whose body was nothing but void-black wearing flowing cosmic robes, spoke.

"It was to be expected, considering they lacked the raw power that the Titans did. Their major defining trait was only control over the negative aspects of the domains of the Olympians, their cunning and the fact that they can only be killed by gods and demigods, which wasn't too difficult with Zeus' bastard Heracles aiding them in the war." The other, a gold-skinned humanoid with veins of pure light running through their body, spoke.

"As I had told you two." A third voice spoke as the two beings noticed a woman in pitch black robes, her head mostly covered by a hood, underneath which two dull grey eyes stared at them.

"Where's your spindle, Ananke? I thought you took it with you everywhere like it was your own child?" The black humanoid asked as the woman glared at him.

"Thank you for your 'concern', Erebus, but I do have it. It hasn't materialized." She spoke sarcastically as Erebus snorted. "Alright, alright, is this about that?"

Ananke nodded. "Has the celestial body been formed, Aether?" She asked the other humanoid.

"It has. We're not specialists in the art of creation like mother Chaos or our sister Gaia, but we do have experience from observation. It is finished, and we shall soon be settling over there." Aether replied. "With our guidance, the amount of progress that world's civilisation will make in a 1000 years will be more than what humanity will make on Gaia in 2000. They will develop quickly and once they have fully developed, we shall enact our plan."

"Which I don't like. You have seen just how rebellious humans are here on Gaia. Just look what happened 200 years ago with Salmoneus and Zeus. Mine and Ananke's proposition is much safer, even if it takes a longer time. Back me up here, Ananke!"

Ananke sighed. "I'm sorry, Erebus, but as risky as Aether's method is, it would take less time."

"…You really are annoying, sister."

"Anyways," Aether spoke over Erebus' grumbling, "We will leave for the other world in a few days. Is there anything you want to tell us."

Ananke nodded. "Yes. I can see that should Aether's method succeed, the rule of the Protogenoi will be reestablished in the cosmos once again. Not even the foreign gods, especially Odin and his ilk, would be able to stand up to us. But should Aether fail and we are forced to go for the alternative, then I do see a danger. That danger will come from the demigod children of the Olympians."

Erebus sighed. "I don't get that. We are Protogenoi, we are wilder, and hence more powerful forces of nature compared to the Titans and don't have major weaknesses like the Gigantes. How exactly are the bastards of the Olympians going to be a threat?"

"Even then, it does not hurt to be cautious." Ananke warned.

Erebus waved her off. "Alright, fine. Me and Aether will create some nasty monsters ready to tear the demigods apart if they somehow manage to come to our world."

"We should leave." Aether spoke up. "I can feel our little cloak slowly dissipating. It won't be long before the Olympians detect our presence."

"Then let's go." Erebus spoke before looking at Ananke. "You better twist things to get Aether's method to succeed."

Anake glared at him. "Even I cannot fully control the flow of fate and destiny. It can all change based on the choices made by those they affect. The most I can do is influence them to make the choices favourable to us. And even then one little change of mind is all that it takes for everything to go off the rails, no matter how much manipulation I do." She spoke before the three primordials vanished from sight.

A/N: For those of you who have read my other story 'Remnant: The Soulless Plains', welcome to the second story! For those of you who have not, then hello! I'm Hsuyaa, the author and this is my second story, the above mentioned is my first fanfic.

Thankfully, pinpointing the time of the Gigatomachia was not that difficult because of the mention of Heracles. Otherwise I would have driven myself insane trying to figure out when the Gigatomachia happened in Greek mythology's mess of a timeline. So, yeah. This story will remain as a prologue until I reach the end of volume-2 in my other story.

Hope you guys enjoyed and constructive criticism is appreciated!
