This... has been a long time coming. I want to thank JDTank75 for his help in this story, giving me ideas. As you can notice, this is a Jurassic Park story with the pairing being none other than OC/Rexy. Now, I do plan to make this be connected to a upcoming Jurassic World story with that story's pairing being OC/Blue.
Will this go up to the Jurassic World movies? Yeah, most likely. I'm just calling it Jurassic Park: Rise of a King because that's where it mostly takes place. So yeah, the OC will meet Rexy during the events of the first Jurassic Park movie.
Disclaimer: I do not own Jurassic Park. I only own the OC George Edwards.
BioSyn is a bioengineering company based in Cupertino, California. They tried everything in their power to keep up with their competitors such as InGen, often involving corporate espionage conducted by Lewis Dodgson. Their goal was to try and replicate John Hammond's dream of Jurassic Park, to create their own living, breathing dinosaurs that could be used for weapons, make their own theme park to gain millions of dollars.
BioSyn did many things to try and obtain dinosaur DNA from InGen, but they failed. However, they did managed to find fossilized amber, like InGen's scientists and miners did, with a mosquito inside.
So BioSyn's scientists got to work on extracting the blood of the mosquito, though there wasn't much. They did have enough to conduct an experiment though, to creature their first dinosaur. But they didn't want to risk creating one that would be hard to control.
So they took a human test subject off the streets to conduct the experiment on, and that is where our story begins.
Right now, in a large lab, several scientists stood on a catwalk with Dodgson leading the experiment.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let us begin Project V-Rex." Dodgson said with a smile on his face.
"V-Rex?" One of the scientists asked with a frown. "What is that?"
"As it turns out, the dinosaur DNA we extracted was that of a long lost member of the T-Rex family, the Vastatosaurus Rex. It's said to be stronger, bigger and smarter than the T-Rex is. What better dinosaur for us to start off with than that?"
Dodgson looked at the tub where the subject is restrained and strapped with needles ready to inject the V-Rex DNA into him. The subject's name was George Edwards, a homeless young man they picked off the streets. No one was going to know nor care about him, so he was perfect for the first subject. Dodgson hoped this will work though.
"Begin." He ordered.
One of the scientists pressed a button that said 'activate', which caused the needles to pierce George's skin and begin injecting him with the DNA, causing his body to convulse.
"His vitas are going off the chart!" One of the scientists said with astonishment.
"Heartrate rising fast!" Another called.
"It'll work." Dodgson said with hope as he watched.
"Shouldn't we have sedated him?" One of the scientists asked as he saw George convulsing.
Dodgson shook his head. "I doubt the body would work to adapt if it was asleep. It's best he remained awake to endure this. It'll work."
"Heartrate 190." The scientist checking the heartrate called. "195... 200... Heartrate well beyond maximum."
"Everything is off the charts." Another scinetist said. "Blood pressure, body temperature, everything."
"He can make it. he can make it." Dodgson nodded with a smile.
Eventually, the V-Rex DNA was completely injected into George's body and he stopped convulsing, going completely still as the sound of the heart monitor continued to beep before it flatlined.
Dodgson sighed in disappointment, closing his eyes. "Dammit."
"No response." A scientist said after checking to see if George was really still alive or dead.
Dodgson turned away when...
Beep.
Dodgson froze at the sound of the heart monitor and turned to see it was no longer flatlined, a heartbeat was going!
"Vitals are rising to normal." A scientist said.
"Yes! Yes!" Dodgson shouted, ecstatic.
Suddenly George's body begins to thrash around, which concerned everyone.
"He's thrashing!" One of the scientists shouted.
"Get him sedated quickly!" Dodgson ordered.
George breaks the straps holding him, bursts out the water and unleashes a terrifying, inhuman roar that sounded like it belonged to an animal more than a human being. It's a roar that caused everyone in the room to shake with fear and terror.
"Gas him!" Dodgson ordered. A scientist nodded and pressed the button to unleash gas into the room. Thankfully the scientists were safe behind a glass wall.
as the gas starts to fill the room, George grunts and writhes in pain as he feels his body is somehow... changing. His bones are breaking and reshaping themselves. George made it to the glass window and falls down, his hand palming it before it fell down as the gas fully filled the room.
All was silent as everyone waited with baited breath.
"get a team in there to get him into a secure room and lock him there." Dodgson ordered.
it isn't long before a team does head down to the door leading to the room George is in. The men look at each other and put masks on so they didn't get affected by the gas. They nod before they go into the room and shut the door behind them.
With Dodgson and the scientists, they waited for confirmation that the subject was out of there when they suddenly heard gunshots, followed by screams and the sound of flesh being torn. One of the men comes running at the window, slamming on it.
"Help us! Hel-"
A massive pair of jaws comes out of the smoke and snatches him up, blood splattering onto the glass window which made several scientists gasp in shock. Due to the smoke, they couldn't see what was happening, but they did see the silhouette of a large figure through the smoke, a figure that tuned in the direction of the glass and charged at it.
Dodgson and the scientists didn't have time to move before something smashed through the glass, sending it everywhere. Panic ensures as everyone tries to find a way out of here. Dodgson looks up at the transformed George in horror and delight.
Because what broke through the glass was a giant dinosaur.
The transformed George started killing everyone he can see, snatching them up and ripping them to pieces in his teeth or stomping on them, tail smacking them away. He then spots Dodgson running for a door and growls as he goes in pursuit, smashing through the wall easily and into a large hallway with more people, who scream and start running as Dodgson orders a team to shoot George who is still in pursuit.
George then sees the window leading to the outside and changes course, smashing through the window and running off into the dense forest, unleashing a roar that echoed.
Dodgson looked on with wide eyes, unable to believe what had just happened. He couldn't help but whisper something with absolute terror and dread.
"What have we created?"
Okay, not the best start, I tried to word it in a way that's good and make it a long chapter, but I leave your opinions up to you, folks. So yeah, got a little inspiration from X-Men Origins Wolverine with BioSyn doing a Weapon X experiment and turning a human test subject into a dinosaur... who obviously escapes into the wild.
