3 months after Judai and co graduated and the Darkness fiasco ended Yusuke choose to comeback to Duel Academy and complete his high school education. Despite disappearing at the start of his 2nd year, Chronos and Samejima choose to promote him to 3rd year rather than making him complete his 2nd year because of his genius intellect. When Yusuke first came 6 years ago he was a Top 1 student in his class in both Academics and Dueling, with his best friends Ryo and Fubuki coming 2nd and 3rd place respectively behind him. By the end of his 1st year his teachers planned to make him skip his 2nd and jump to 3rd year in which he would be graduating a year before Ryo and his classmates, but he disappeared before he could get promoted and instead the opposite happen. He will be graduating 3 years after Ryo and a year after Fubuki and Judai.

At Domino City docks

After 3 months of summer vacation, October arrived and new academic year at Duel Academy begins for students. Some students choose reach the island by plane or helicopter, while Yusuke and the others choose to board a ship. Yusuke enjoys sea travels because he loves to breath in fresh air ever since he returned after being trapped for 4 years in World od Darkness, and enjoy the ocean view.

He and the other students were waiting for their boat to show and pick them up. The students were divided into 4 groups. The 1st group consist of freshmans, the 2nd group consist of 2nd year students, the 3rd group consist of 3rd year students and the 4th group consist of new students who will be enrolling to either 2nd or 3rd year. Since Yusuke was a student in the past, he was with the 3rd group.

As the seaweed Duelist was waiting at the docks, he was interrupted by a friendly voice "Hi Fujiwara-senpai"

He turned to see a familiar face dressed in Ra Yellow uniform, but unlike most of the students his jacket is sleveless and he wore his uniform style smiiliar to a soldier. He remember seeing this guy hanging around with Fubuki and his friends, and was stuffing chicken in his mouth during graduation party 3 months ago. But he doesn't know his name.

"Hi there" Yusuke greeted back with a awkward smile. "What's your name?".

"I am Tryanno Kenzen, and I am close friends with Judai-aniki and Fubuki-senpai. They told me to take care off you, And looks like we're going to be in the same class".

"I see it's nice to meet you". Yusuke said shyly.

"Shall we be friends? If you need any help don't hesitate to ask me, I wil be there for you anytime you want"

"Sure and thanks for your concern". Upon seeing Kenzen Yusuke feels Kenzen is someone he can trust, not only was he friends with Fubuki but also his kindnes seems genuine. And he never expect someone to act so friendly with him during his 1st day.

The old him became paranoid about forgetting his friends, but thanks to the efforts of Honest, Judai, Johan, and Fubuki, Yusuke learned to trust his happiness and his friends once again.

As the boys were waiting with others for their boat to show up. They were interrupted by a female voice. "Excuse are you Duel Academy students?". Both Yusuke and Kenzen turned and sae a girl dressed in standard Obelisk Blue uniform, she is tall as Asuka, and her face and hairstyle resembles Fubuki, except her hair is blonde and the length of her hair is till her chest.

The girl was staring on them as if she knows them, Kenzen and Yusuke wonder why is she staring at them weirdly but feels she resembles Fubuki.

"Yes, we are, are you a new student?" Yusuke asked as he was the first to break silence.

"Its nice to meet you guys. You two must be Yusuke Fujiwara and Tryanno Kenzen. I am 1st year Mitsuki Tenjouin, and I am Fubuki and Asuka's younger sister. Both of my siblings told me a lot about their friends in school, and they frequently send me photos of you all"

"Oh hi it's nice to meet you Tenjoin-kun" Yusuke greeted back.

'Same here Mitsuki-chan, you see I am very close with your siblings and their friends, and I thought my 3rd year would be a flop without them, but now that you're here, along with Rei-chan, Fujiwara-senpai and Sorano. I will try to make some memories before I graduate in summer."

"Sure, let's be friends"

"But if you're 1st year you should be standing in the 1st row, this row is for the 3rd years"

"Oh thanks for telling me, Kenzen-san I hope we will meet later in school" With that Mitsuki left the boys.

After waiting in the docks, for about an hour the ship finally showed up to take the students to island.

Yusuke sat with Kenzen and Mitsuki in the aisle seat.

Duel Academy

After travelling in the sea for about a day, the students finally arrived in the island at 10:am. As the students were leaving the ship and walking down the stairways they were greeted by Chronos. Kenzen, Mitsuki and Yusuke were the last ones to leave . As they were coming from the stairways they are shock to see Ryo dressed in his Obelisk Blue uniform and carrying a luggage in his hand. And this time he looks perfectly healthy.

"Ryo!". The former Kaiser turned to see Yusuke calling him.

"Yusuke" Ryo returned the greet with a small smile.

"Kaiser-senpai what are you doing here?" Kenzen asked.

"Ryo-san you have graduates almost 3 years ago, and it makes no sense for you to comeback as a student unless you're teaching"" Mitsuki added.

"I know you guys will ask me tons of questions, but I came back to school as a research student, and also to rediscover myself as a Duelist using my new deck before I make a strong comeback to pro. Ryo explained in a slight annoyed tone. "Duel Academy graduates can rejoin as a research student if they want to."

Yusuke felt a bit suspicious about it, but he knows that Ryo has some good intentions for coming here.

"What about your Pro career? and how is your brother Marufuji-senpai doing? Shouldn't you be starting your own Pro league with him?." Kenzen asked.

"I am currently on hiatus. Sho is doing well and Edo decide to train him under his wing until I return along with Chazz. As for starting up our own league it will take time".

"Ryo-san! Are you feeling alright and how is your heart I heard from Ni-san that you had a major heart operation 6 months ago".

"You don't worry Mitsuki, I am feeling much better now but I am still on medication, and now that I came back Ayukawa-sensei told me to come for checkup every week. You have grown up and changed a lot. I still remember when I first met you, you were still in grade school and you used to be very shy." Ryo remembered meeting Mitsuki and Asuka for the first time when he was in 1st year during a family event at school. The first-time he met Mitsuki she was a shy little girl, and today he saw her as a grown up and confident teenager.

"I guess people change over time" She sighed with a awkward smile."Even you change like a Chameleon" she added with a joke and all Ryo could do was chuckle a bit.

"Don't tell me Fubuki asked you to comeback and babysit me, because he already hired Kenzen-kun to do this job." Yusuke said jokingly

'I told you I came back as a research student". Ryo frowned and retorted in a flustered tone. "Anyways I just want to make some memories with you as research student, and always remember Yusuke your true friends will never leave you"

"Anyway we all are tired right now, so let's go to our dorm and take rest before the welcoming cermony starts in evening." Kenzen reminded them as he yawned.

With that Kenzen trailed off to his dorm, while Yusuke, Ryo, and Mitsuki went to their dormitory assignments to collect their room keys and then head to the Blue dorm.

Obelisk Blue Dorm

After droping Mitsuki at the girls dorm which is next to the boys dorm, both Ryo and Yusuke headed to the Obelisk boys dorm and many boys were staring at them as they were walking since Yusuke is with the former Kaiser and the current students wonder why a former graduate decide to take up classes again and only a few realize he comeback as a research student. Yusuke remebered Duel Academy hasn't changed much for the last 5 years, except the blue dorm has been repainted, and the current dorm which he will be staying with Ryo is a bit different than the abandoned dorm they stayed during their 1st year. At 20 he is the oldest high school student who is surrounded by teenagers.

Both the men's arrived at the hallway to go to their room, and much to their delight their rooms are next to each other.

"Well looks like we are neighbours, Yusuke if you need any help you are free to call me anytime you want, I will be their for you 24/7" Ryo told him kindly as he unlock his door.

"Sure, and you too, guess I will see you again during the welcome cermony". Yusuke replied back

"Since I am already a graduate I don't need to attend the welcome cermony, but I will see you during dinner" Ryo corrected him.

"Sure". With that both the men's went inside their room.

A week before school start, Yusuke came to island to organize his things which he shiped through cargo. So that when he arrives on the 1st day he can relax a bit. The room is like a 5 star hotel and the maids have cleaned the room nicely removing all the dust and cobwebs in the celing and windows.

"Welcome back to Duel Academy Master" Honest broke his silence as he appeared next to him, He couldn't talk with Yusuke while he was at docks and on-board in ship, because their are many people and if he talk then people will think Yusuke is crazy to talk to himself.

"Thank you Honest" Yusuke returned the greet with a smile.

"I hope you will make some good memories with your new friends before you graduate"

"Honest after what I did 3 months ago, I don't think everyone deserves to have a friend like me" Yusuke replied with a guilt expression

"Master whatever you did 3 months ago wasn't you it was Darkness controlling you".

"But still I did many unforgivable deeds, I sent everyone to Darkness and I am pretty sure their are some victims who are still traumatized after being freed because of me".

"Master you still haven't forgiven yourself. But your friends and everyone in this school forgave you, why can't you forgive yourself because life still has given you chance".

"I don't if I can forgive myself easily, but I will try to make some memories with Ryo and Kenzen-kun, before I graduate and Fubuki and Ryo have convinced me to attend Ayukawa-sensei's counseling and therapy session during weekends, and I will give that a shot." Yusuke said giving Honest a assured smile, andHonest felt relieved that despite unable to forgive himself, Yusuke is willing to at least move on with his friends.

After getting things settled and taking some rest for few hours, Yusuke headed to school with Kenzen for the new academic year welcoming cermony, and after the cermony Kenzen took him for campus tour, just like outside the inside is still the same as it was 6 years ago except some walls had been repainted, gym and tennis court has been upgraded.

Obelisk Blue Cafeteria

After the welcoming cermony Yusuke didn't join the 1st years Obelisk welcome dinner since it isn't compulsory for the 2nd and 3rd year students to join, he choose to have dinner with Ryo at cafeteria rather than eating with them at the feast, since he doesn't know anyone at the feast yet and he feels more comfortable being around Ryo.

Both the men's were standing in counter waiting to order their foods, and suddenly they heard a familiar female voice

"Hi Ryo-sama and Fujiwara-san both the boys turned to see Rei standing behind them"

"If I am not mistaken your 2nd year Rei Satome, and why are you wearing a Slifer Red uniform if your in Obelisk". Yusuke knows who Rei is and he remebered she asked him to pose with Fubuki for the graduation album, a week before the cermony. He was surprised to see a girl wearing a slifer red uniform, because he never saw a girl wearing a Ra or Slifer jacket and they are automatically placed in Obelisk after they enroll.

"I was in red during the 1st term of my 1st year but got promoted to blue during the 2nd term last year. But I still choose to wear this uniform because I like more than the Blue"

"Ryo-sama you graduated 3 years ago, did you comeback as research student? I remember Auska-san wanted to stay as a research student after graduation but she changed her mind to study in USA.'

"Yes Rei" Ryo replied. "Sho has surprrassed me as Duelist, so I came back as research student in order rediscover myself as a Duelist before I made a comeback"

"Shouldn't you be in 3rd year middle school by now? It looks like look you skiped middle school" Ryo remembered the first time he met Rei 4 years ago she was only 11 and still in elementary school, and now that she's 14 she is supposed to be a 3rd year middle school".

"Well I am not surprised because you look a lot younger" Yusuke added

"Actually after I took part in Genex tournament Samejima allowed me to skip middle school and jump straight to high school because I scored well during the entrance exam.

After getting their meals the trio went to a table and decide to eat together. The entire students were looking at them while they were eating, because Kaiser a alumni and former student was eating and dressed in his Obelisk uniform. Yusuke feels awarkard to see others staring at them, Rei kept a neutral expression and Ryo decide to ignore those creepy stares and focuse his meal.

I decide to make fic of Yusuke, Rei and Kenzen'a academy life after Judai and co left. Since Yusuke disappeared for 4 years he will likely stayback and cover up his education he missed. This chap is more of Yusuke centric one. I made Ryo comeback as a research student and DA graduate can stay as research student in their school, since Asuka plans to become one after she graduates but then changed her mind to study in USA.
