As Henry Lennox takes his son to walk through the fields of Helstone, he points to the old parsonage, and as the man reminisces about days long ago, he tells the story of how a goddess from the south ended up marrying a mere mortal from the north.

This 2-part story follows The Thorntons as they have a family night out at Milton's first 5th of November festival extravaganza.

After an unexpected encounter on the night of the dinner party, Margaret tries to understand her new feelings for Mr Thornton amidst the trials of life in Milton. A mid canon retelling of North and South with more kissing.

On Mother's Day, Margaret wakes up to an abundance of gifts and affection from her beloved family, who remind Mrs John Thornton just how much she is loved and appreciated.
