This was inspired by @bigmamag on tumblr, who said (paraphrased): There are no photographs in The Untamed, so Lan Wangji must struggle with wanting to see and remember Wei Wuxian's face after his death - a true depiction, and not the awful caricatures of the Yiling Patriarch sold in the streets. But what if he found someone who had met him in the past, and painted his portrait...?
