v0rt3x: doing a rewrite of this fic, first chapters were rough so hopefully the rewrite makes an improvement. Also I'm actually gonna give Ash a challenge for this one.

Chapter 1
At The Wrong Place, At The Wrong Time
A cool afternoon breeze washed over the quiet Pallet Town, where a certain boy just got out of school.
This boys name was Ash Ketchum and the boy was only 3 weeks away until he can become an official Pokémon trainer and go out and see all Kanto had to offer.
He wasn't overly studious, with average test scores that he really didn't care for. He of course liked the topic of the lesson, but the lesson itself would drag on and loose his attention around the middle of it.
There was one teacher though that could always keep in interested in the topic.
And that man was Professor Oak, Oak was primarily a guest teacher that would come by on a semi-monthly basis to teach the children there about Pokémon.
Oak even once held a Pokémon Summer Camp that Ash attended before.
Ash thought back to the camp as he walked, he met a herd of Kangaskhan who were super nice, a Pichu that he became quick friends with, and he met Pokémon he's never seen before. It was small, pink and had cat-like features He was originally excited to 'discover' a new species of Pokémon, but Oak explained that it was most likely Mew, An extremely rare Pokémon that is nearly impossible to find and document as it could transform into any Pokémon and hide without detection.
Ash pushed the thoughts of the summer camp away, deciding to instead think about the starter he was going to get.
This year there were four trainers that will be starting in Pallet Town. Specifically: Gary, Elaine, Chase, and of course Ash.
The starters were changed from what they originally were a year ago by the Pokémon League. Specifically they added Eevee as an official starter choice.
Ash was heavily leaning towards Eevee, they were versatile and had many evolutions that were tied to stones as well as the friendship evolutions Espeon and Umbreon, which pushed Ash in the direction of Eevee even more. Though the other Starter choices had their merits too, as Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur could eventually Mega Evolve. Which Ash thought was super cool.
As he was thinking this though he didn't realized he had already arrived at his destination. Which was a small lake surrounded by trees just outside of Pallet Town. This was Ash's go to location when he needed to think about any important decision he had to make.
He stayed there for hours silently watching from a tree as various Pokémon that came and went from the lake either to drink to bathe or just to play in the water.
Something felt off though as one group of Rattata looked over at a set of bushes before squeaking menacingly at whatever was hiding there.
Ash looked over at the bushes, they rustled as whatever was there was approaching closer to the lake.
Eventually the unknown entity revealed itself to be an adult human with a Manectric at their side.
The human ordered their Manectric to use thunder wave, it used the move with a smirk on it's jaw.
The human then grabbed Poké Balls from his bag and threw them at the Rattata capturing them all.
When the human was eventually in the light where Ash could see what they looked like, he was regretting seeing it.
It was a Team Rocket member, the red R on their uniform gave away who they work for in an instant. Ash eyes widened; he began to fear the worst scenarios if he was ever found by the Rocket member. One of those scenarios came true.
The Rocket Grunt's Manectric smelled Ash's scent and alerted their master about another human nearby.
Ash tried to run but it was too late the Rocket Grunt had already ordered their Pokémon to paralyze him.
The Rocket Grunt then grabbed a radio from his belt and reported to whoever was on the other end of the line.
"Dr. I have another candidate for your experiments, a nine-ish old boy."
The grunt then recalled their Manectric, exchanging it out for an Ursaring.
"Carry them." The Ursaring did as they were told and carried the paralyzed boy.
Then the Pokémon and two humans arrived at a car. The grunt grabs a rope from the car and ties Ash's hands and feet together. They also place a protein bar and water in the trunk before the Ursaring places Ash inside.
Ash didn't know how much time had passed, but he did notice the transition from the well kept and used routes to the bumpy and unused roads the car was currently driving on.
The paralysis wore off at this point and Ash could move his arms to drink and eat the stuff provided to him before they got destroyed by all the bouncing.
The car then came to a stop and after a few seconds the trunk door opens revealing the grunt and their Ursaring behind them.
The Ursaring carried Ash, who was still bound by the rope. Into the building that was in front of him.
The outside was painted green and brown, the design of which reminisced a very stereotypical lab in movies or Tv shows. The inside was basically the same.
Ash saw sign for different zones and got a passing glance of the 'Pokémon Cloning Wing' sign.
He was then carried into the Genetics Research Wing, with the grunt that captured him going into a room that was labelled 'Mew Fossil and Genetics Research'
The door opened again revealing a man in a lab coat. He had brown messy hair, bags under his eyes, and an unnerving smile that scared Ash half to death.
The scientist beckoned the Ursaring to follow and said Pokémon ducked under the too short door frame, with Ash going in last as the Pokémon had to turn a weird position to fit.
Once inside Ash saw what looked like individual hairs being tested on, each one the same color.
The Ursaring then put Ash down on a chair of sorts.
The scientist then grabbed a syringe from a cabinet and placed something into it before injecting it into Ash.
Almost immediately the injected fluid started to take effect, with Ash losing all feeling in his arms and legs.
"Bring him to the tube over there." The Ursaring that was still there obeyed carrying Ash to the designated tube.
The scientist then attached some monitoring equipment and some supports to hold Ash's body in place. The tube then closed, filling up with water slowly.
Ash panicked, but couldn't struggle. A syringe then came down from the roof of the tube and stabbed Ash in the abdomen injecting the pre-teen with a pink fluid. It almost acted immediately, a wave of pain rushing over Ash like a tsunami, It was intense like he was being burned alive while several trucks rammed into him at full force.
The scientist watched with an evil smirk plastered on his face.
The Ursaring was looking downcast like he was guilty for this boys fate, they secretly hoped that Yveltal will let them live, even if they weren't going to be a human anymore.
The process then stopped, the screaming stopped and the tube was filled with blood and whatever's left of the pink liquid that was injected into Ash.
The tube drained slowly revealing a Mew instead of the pre-teen that was once there.
The scientist opened the tube and unhooked all the support and monitoring equipment and checked if there was a heartbeat.
And there was.
"We have done it, a real live Mew created by humans." The assistants present clapped at the achievement.
The Ursaring looked around, trying to see if the Rocket grunt was still there.
He wasn't.
So Ursaring Bust one of wall and hit a gas line, it then threw several vials and beakers on the floor.
Sparks then went flying from the mixture. The Ursaring then charged at the scientist, an attack already prepared and punched the scientist straight into a wall.
The Pokémon then picked up the Mew, who didn't go flying off with the scientist. And bust a whole through the door, bursting open another gas line as they went.
This continued until the gas finally ignited causing the entire lab to blow up.
Then a creature that very similar to a Mew landed near Ursaring passed out, probably another experiment from the cloning wing.
Ursaring decided to help the creature as well.

v0rt3x: Ursaring is a new addition to the fic and will be very helpful in bringing Ash back to Pallet Town, also this is how the Mewtwo thing happens here, it isn't Mewtwo using their psychic powers it was Ursaring busting open gas lines. Also our favorite electric mouse is still in the fic don't worry.
